This specific video of mine is very rough around the edges and basically served as a tech demo at the time but even so I'm still proud of the way I was able to get the story across. The unnerfed 8 jumps of hell has 6 144 fps frame perfects which are way more inconsistent. This being over 70 percent in the level, along with 144 fps frame perfects at the first quarter, the way harder first ship and slight buffs everywhere in the level has made top players believe that the "unnerfed" or old version of silent clubstep is TWICE as difficult as the rated version. Also unnerfed has been done in 2 runs now.

Fun fact to people who aren’t aware: The old unnerfed version is now in 2 runs, 26% and 24-100%, both of which were accomplished by a player named sobot who is absolutely unreal.

i feel like samifying kinda underestimated how much the nerfed version changed the overall difficulty of the entire level. Those tiny changes make a MASSIVE difference in a run of the entire level. The unnerfed and nerfed versions of the level are so vastly different in difficulty its kinda insane

It's unfair to compare attempts on GD and osu because osu maps are much longer and u're not dying after 1 miss. Second thing is that most of the GD attempts are usually on practice diffs where each attempt lasts 5 seconds on average. And third is the fact that you can't beat level in GD without retry spamming because you have to memorize every click. When in osu you have reading skill.

The reason why it is possible now is because update 2.2 set all physics to 240 hz so now high fps just effects click latency

Already watched this video, just rewatched it again since Samifying is such a compelling story teller. Overall, amazing video by him. My main feedback is that I feel he didn’t emphasize the 8 jumps of hell enough. Besides the fact that they were impossible, literally every jump is a frame perfect (some of which on 144hz I believe), and it’s such a crushing barrier. I also think the call at the end to the original unnerfed version is cool, but undermines the achievement of beating the level a little bit. Overall though, 10/10 video

Most if not all documentary videos are either poorly researched or only touch the surface level stuff and dont get the information straigh from the players and map creators and very little effort put into editing and it being just replays on the screen

great video btmc. geaometry dash and osu are indeed very cool i’m gonna respond to some things i heard him say “unless you were single tapping” 99.9% of gd players use one input and therefore it’d be quivalent to that bpm singletapped in osu “THERES MEMORISATION IN THIS GAME TOO???” you are NOT ready to see limbo “is there no anticheat” yes, but it’s crap. most of the completions/progresses that actually matter are going to be on levels on the demonlist, and there there is a ton of people that are very skilled at detecting hacks such as macros/fake clicks, speedhack, hitbox multiplier, etc “wait wait wait is that actually the song” no. there are some quality of life hacks that allow you to listen to the song used in the level instead of this “stay inside me” song, however, most people use start positions anyway idk why “and this is all random” 😭😭😭

I think why these runs have so many "attempts" is because GD count anything as an attempt, dying at the first obstacle or the second you spawn in, even if you leave your computer to go to the bathroom and let the game running, continuously dying and the game still gonna counts those as "attempts".
