lol funny you say that they look so young - 1990 to 1995 are their birth years. Second from the left (Sungjae) is an actor in k-dramas (so you prolly have seen him!) and he's the youngest. Only he and Ilhoon (the rapper that left) were actually underage when they debuted. They do a *lot* of harmonizations and layering of vocal ad libs with rap flowing under it. The only other boy groups that I know of where there's everyone singing or blatant harmonizations is Super Junior and Infinite. lol the guy on the right is Peniel, our Chicago boy! He was born and raised in the US which is why his pronunciation is so American. He's trilingual - English (native), Korean, and whatever the hell konglish BTOB manage to get out. Technically only Eunkwang (the blue sweater) is the main vocal. But let's be real everyone is pretty much main vocal material at this point. Hah nailed your reactions to I'll Be Your Man. They started right at the bridge so that's why it fooled you for a second. Higher is hilarious because Changsub (second from the right) continually complains about the song being too high, yet he can still nail every high note even after being nailed by a water gun lol The Blue Moon final ad lib has an even more amusing version from the KCON stage - Eunkwang literally interrupts himself to say "ah it's hard" before continuing the runs. (Also Eunkwang can hit operatic soprano.) lol I'm sure Hyunsik (white button up) would love your comparisons to OSTs and movie scores since most of the songs here are his. (Minhyuk's two songs are Blue Moon and Higher, everything else aside from It's Okay, Remember That, and 2nd Confession are Hyunsik's.)

Great reaction when the first debut they did do more pop music but didn’t get buzz until they started going the ballad route that’s y they do more ballad hyungsik the guy in the button light blue shirt and minhyuk the rapper on the left take part in most of the composing and writing in their songs minhyuk and the person to his right sung Jae are actors eunkwang the leader in the navy sweater and Chang sub the guy in the sweater with orange lining are musical theatre actor and peniel the other rapper is a photographer and has a podcast with dive studio he was born in Chicago

BTOB originally was a 7 member group, (4 vocals & 3 rappers) though in fact, all 7 can sing, rap & play instruments. Sadly, the main rapper got involved in an issue so he had to leave the group in 2020..that's why they are only 6 now. BTOB stands for Born to Beat and their fandom is called Melody (coz every Beat needs a Melody to make a song). Their motto is "We don't sell albums, we sell emotions"..and that's what people feel whenever they listen to BTOB's songs. Ballad or upbeat..they have a way of singing that makes one feel exactly what the song is all about. Subtitles/ translations are sometimes not needed coz one would know the message of the song just by the way they sing & affect the listeners. They have a very diverse discography from pop to jazz, funk, rock, ballad, dance, R&B that it's hard to classify their music..BTOB is a genre in itself. Well, with these songs they sang in Killing Voice, I believe there were no OSTs here. But they did a lot of kdrama OSTs..some by group & some individually. To describe them a bit..from left to right.. MINHYUK: 2nd oldest, main rapper, dancer, also vocalist, visuals, actor, athlete, songwriter, composer, producer SUNGJAE: youngest/maknae, award winning actor, lead vocalist, emotional voice, model, endorser EUNKWANG: oldest, leader, main vocals, Cube Exec. Dir., musical actor, variety show host, one of the top vocalists in kpop HYUNSIK: lead vocals, crazy vocal range, songwriter, composer, producer, full member of KOMCA CHANGSUB: lead vocals, intro fairy, musical actor, CEO of his own artist training company PENIEL: lead rapper, dancer, photographer/ MV director, Korean-American, born and raised in Chicago This dingo Killing Voice isn't enough to showcase their best songs & performances. In fact, BTOB is famous for their live stages coz they ALWAYS sing LIVE. And it's so hard to recommend songs coz all songs are good. In their 3 full albums, 12 mini albums & special albums, OSTs, solo albums, digital releases & Japan released ones..I can not think of an ugly song from them. And their songs have deep meanings and messages, there are songs that heal & give comfort and hope and those that tell of the normal day to day stuff that anyone can relate to..their music is light & easy listening to yet so full of meaning & emotion. If you're going to use their lyric videos to know the meaning of their songs, kindly try lyric vids made by Daemelro coz they are nice and accurate. One more comment, on Peniel. He is American, born and raised in Chicago, he moved alone to SK to be a trainee, his parents still live in Chicago and during covid he didn't see them for over 3 years 😢 Now, a heart warming note, so you can see the brotherly bond BTOB has: As Peniel is American, he didn't have to attend military service. The beats decided to take turns to prevent for Peniel to be alone during their service. The older line went first and when the oldest (leader Eunkwang) came back, the youngest started enlisting, this way Peniel was never alone and as soon as the older line ( Eunkwang, Minhyuk and Changsub) came back, they released an album called Inside with 4 of them, BTOB 4U is the name of the subunit, wonderful songs if you want to listen, and the 4 beats also joined Kingdom where they were amazing recording a second mini Album (Outside) after finishing the show which is another nonskip album. The beats also decided to go at the same time so they could be back on time for the 10th anniversary (2022) which they did 😊 A note also, Peniel learned Korean after moving there, so the first albums he has fewer lines that he does now. On the variaty side, #savePeniel is something that Melody knows when dealing with his brothers trying to speak English with him 😅

This is something I wrote on another reaction video but wanted to share it with you too as a reference. I also, suggest you go watch "Kingdom: Legendary War" episodes and performances. Although it is only 4 members cuz the other 2 were in military service, but it just shows how talented they are because it is a competition and they can pull it off no problem without the other two members. Then maybe watch BTOB4U (unit group with the same Kingdom members), "Show Your Love" and "Outsider". Then I suggest you work backwards, from most recent ones to older songs. OR you can just watch what I wrote and shared below! BTOB has a really diverse style. They debuted as an all-rounder(they first trained as a band, practiced acapella, learned acrobatics). When they debuted, it had lots of choreo and dancing (fresh young boys). Songs like [Insane, Irresistible Lips, WOW(new jack swing genre), Thriller, Beep Beep, etc] Then they showed their vocal talents even more with ballad /slower songs. Songs like [Second Confession, The Winter's Tale (x-mas song), You can cry (x-mas song), IT'S OKAY, Way Back Home, Remember That]. I think now they found a balance and their own style, and really became an all-rounder group as they intended. BTOB Dance/FastTempo Songs are [ Pray-I'll Be Your Man, Movie, Show Your Love (BTOB4U Unit song), Outsider (BTOB4U unit song), WIND and WISH (most recent song)]. Then there are medium tempo BTOB Style songs, [Missing You, Only one for me, Beautiful Pain, The Song]--> all these were composed by HYUNSIK, the guy in the middle 4th from left. Great composer. The genre you describe "up tempo, uplifting" is BTOB. They really built their own genre and actually became the genre. Because, I once watched a youtube video by composers and producers active in the field, and they said even themselves, amongst the composers they call it "Missing you style, or Only one for me- like style, or Beautiful Pain- like songs, or most likely BTOB like songs". Medium tempo, uplifting, positive, somewhat summery vibe in some of them, with a hint of longing or lingering feelings that make you smile, and keep smiling and enjoyable. I am sorry it's bunch of run on sentences lol but it's cuz there's so much to say about them. Oh and the songs that sound grand, I would like to call them 'build-up songs' cuz of the instrumental build-ups in the background, when you realize the grandness of the the song, it is already built up and done. Some of these songs are [Someday, When it Rains(BTOB-Blue Unit), Finale:Our Concert, Finale: Show and Prove] And my favs and feel good music [Show Your Love, Outsider, Dreamer, Blue Moon- Cinema Ver. (this is Kingdom version), Blooming Day, Heaven, Killing Me, The feeling, Love Drunk, Mirage, Cold, Guitar-stroke of love, Higher, Climax, Traveler, Call me etc...] omg there's so much.. some are overlaps FYI. And BTOB is a group that sings LIVE all their performances. Because they are soooo bad at lip-syncing. It's a MUST. You MUST watch their live performances. All of them have solo stuff as well. About the one on the right, he is Peniel and he is from Chicago and moved to SK to become an idol. Killing voice was more focused on the vocals, but make sure to check the full song, Peniel’s rap part have great lyrics.

Thanks for your reaction 😊 Yes, BTOB has amazing vocals and as many of the other Melody has mentioned, they are so talented as most of the songs here were composed by Minhyuk (Raper on blue shirt on the left) and Hyunsik (white tshirt and black tie in the middle). I'm beaming while listening to you becuase the songs that you mentioned look like OST (they're not) were composed by Hyunsik (father of BTOB music) including the first song that we all know as the queen, as this song won the 7 music shows at the time of the release and it did so good that it is still in the top ten after all these years 💙 The rock sound and the jazz song were composed by our Minhyuk 💙 and they are bsides by the way, as mentioned by others, many of the BTOB albums are not skip really 😊 Hope you guys can join us in our admiration to their musical talent. And don't get me started on the variaty side of them 😅 they are truly the original beagle idols 😊😊
