Everything was arranged so perfectly, no backing tracks. Everything live. Rahman on the keys, can it get any better? No. Neeti Mohan had a great stage presence, and her belting at 3:48 was awesome. It must have taken months and months of rehearsal to get this one act. Hats off.

So glad I found Mohini! My dad was a huge fan of Ravi Shangai & co, and it must have rubbed off on me a tad. The syncopation between drums/ percussion and voice is just other worldly. I'm drawn to the trad Indian pieces but the more jazz/funk they throw in, the better. It's also hugely educational and has made me at least, listen, break down and examine my perceived notion of what trad Indian music is and why it deserves a place at the table with the other greats. Everyone should be made more aware that this rhapsody exists outside a musically dominated trip!!! Gimme More please!!! Ps: please ignore predictive txt; new phone n I canny work it yet!!!
