BTS "Airplane PT 2" Live | Reaction

I don't know if you noticed, but J-Hope's verse in this song is the same as in his own song Airplane, just with the rhythm adjusted to fit this song's beat. Both songs are about they came from the bottom and rose to global success, traveling the world, proving haters wrong...but they're still human beings through it all, with all the struggles and joys that come with that. What makes these Korean music show performances even more intense is that they're often filmed late at night or early in the morning, starting around 2 AM or 5 AM, and they have to perform multiple songs multiple times to get the ideal shots for the final recording (sometimes as many as four times for one song). Imagine doing all that singing/rapping and dancing that many times while still giving the same energy and not looking tired.

This is a recent performance, so no one has added subtitles yet. However, it's pretty self-explanatory. BTS is comparing themselves to mariachis, traveling the world like a modern version of a troubadour. It's part 2 because the original Airplane is part of JHope's mixtape. You really need to see Anpanman, but I would suggest that you check out the lyric video before the Mnet performance. (imo the comeback show on Mnet has the best performance, although they are all good.)

This is my first time seeing you guys and I know I'm going to enjoy going back and watching your other stuff. The choreo and camerawork for this one is just so great. Personally, I don't mind that you didn't have the lyrics on. I never watch an MV with them the first time. There's just SO much happening in any BTS video, reading lyrics gets in the way of taking in the cinematic, choreographic magic they create. I just look them up later. I wasn't ready at 4:45 and...well...I'm REALLY glad I had already finished my beverage because I would totally have given my monitor a bath. Subscribed.
