RM has some songs where he raps in English( With Wale ,Fall out boy, Honne) , but I understand that the Korean Alphabet is different to the English one. There are also a lot of Latin terms in English. I think RM and Suga are both talking about working all night in Studio and success. you are right abt it being difficult for RM to rap in both English n Korean. In a backstage video of BTS getting ready to perform at the 2018 Jingle Ball event....you hv a half second quip by RM saying how people think its easy for him to just speak in english of the cuff. He says what u say....its hard to be fluent in english when your first language is so vastly different ....and your environment is more Korean language driven then english. RM says its different if you live or study overseas....and thats RM! can you imagine how difficult it is for the other members. But you wouldnt know RM struggles wt english at all esp how beautiful his english bars n verses fit so well wt the korean in so many instances.....totally respect RM!....an inspiration..

Until the release with Suga collab, Girl of My Dreams, I didn't think much about Juice WRLD, even after hearing this song. I was startled he had passed on, and it is sad when someone's demons destroy them. His posthumous album is sad in light of it. And I hope it helps others' caught in the battle he fought.

The thing that gets me most about the BTS World songs is that they are for a mobile video GAME! My favorite from the soundtrack is Heartbeat (just BTS), but the collabs are great and introduced me to some great artists. It boggles my mind that so much quality was put into a video game OST! I was also pleased to hear BTS's BigHit "older brother" Lee Hyun on this soundtrack. I hope you get the time for yourself to look into the concepts of the game to connect the songs💜

@@sallycapotosto6927 my initial reaction to your comment was MOTS:7 deserved a Grammy nod, but as I consider more, Grammys have all kinds of special categories for film, animation, and other things that BTS World might certainly have qualified for beyond the big title categories. I agree, they absolutely deserve Grammy nods for so much that they've done, and the big titles too. I guess Grammys just can't stand the competition even from a mobile video game OST.

:) we call it Afrikaans, a variation of Dutch which is where our history sort of started... when Jan van Riebeeck landed here in 1652. Cape Town still has all the buildings and of course, the castle. He was the Colonial Administrator for 10 years. Dutch is deeply rooted in our culture and, together with English, is our main language still taught in schools. You would be fluent in about 3 months :)

There is an historical K-drama called Tree With Deep Roots about the king who developed the Korean alphabet despite being threatened for trying to do so from the Chinese Emperor. He did it so that his people could learn to read and communicate in their own language. Before Hangul (sp?) Chinese was the only written language at the time and, therefore, most of the citizens never learned to read. (Chinese has literally thousands of characters meaning various things!) It was such an interesting drama, I've never forgotten it.

i’m from south african and i know what you mean we have 11 languages and there all connected when separating the african languages and the european language that adapted from here so afrikaans is basically dutch it’s very similar but slight difference i don’t know how to speak it because my family isn’t european and afrikaans but it’s a really interesting language i love it.

My sister and I are fluent in Spanish with that being said, she learned Korean and much like you said Dutch has its correlation with English, she said Korean is a correlation with Spanish which is why she was able to learn the full Korean language. So that’s cool that you took the time to actually learn English or at least took the time to make sure there wasn’t a heavy accent, good for you man keep going!! It’s awesome to see that you’re trying to learn Korean with just hearing the words, that’s what I do to learn a song in Korean lol but yeah great reaction! Personally I took the time to learn I love you in 7 different languages, it’s really nice learning about new cultures.

Some people have already mentioned it, but once again, this song is one of the BTS WORLD game OST album in 2019. Actually the game was not so fun at all, but the songs were popular and successful. You can hear the game-like sounds in the intro and outro.

What's not so fun at all? I like the game. You have to farm to level up from some point on (like 99% of the games in this world xD), but the stories, amount of bts BTS videos is immense and dear. What didn't you like?

@@loredell I felt the stories were boring. And it's not my personal thoughts only. The game's sales were not good and the stock price of game company Netmarble fell because of that. I really liked rhythm game Superstar BTS instead. I reached the full level.( I mean I got all highest level R cards.) Now it's changed to Rhythm Hive, but I miss the previous game. Of course story-based games and rhythm games have very different personalities, and what they like will be different depending on individual tastes. :)

@@katarinakim I like the stories: the AU is brilliant and engaging imo :( and the "canonical" bangtan story is nice too even if you know (more or less) what went on. For me the only dragging issue I see is the farming, that not many army has to be a gamer/be used to it. But again, opinions too may be different (I do work in the vg industry so maybe I'm used to it ^^U) And I LOVE rhythm games (again see above, I have had my hand with... many) so I like both. The system in Hive is a bit convoluted, also adding the other 2 groups and that you cannot focus on 1 at a time (you get cards for all of them!) but it's fine too! I like a challenge hehe I hope next up in line will catch your attention/engagement more then! ^^

Proto indoeuropean languages include many sub families of languages including the Germanic as you said. English and Dutch are from the same family you're right. Korean on the other hand is a family on it's own according to some. It is now influenced by English though as we can hear a lot of English words borrowing.

Languages are amazing. They are complex and have many similarities and differences. I'm Argentinian, so I speak Spanish (kind of) and I've studied English for years. I'm trying to learn Italian and Korean, and I tried Japanese and French before... And damn, Italian and French seem so easy after trying Japanese and Korean

Languages have different root languages is what I think you were looking for. When I took Spanish in high school we talked about it briefly. Someone who speaks Spanish might have an easier time learning something like Italian because I believe both are latin root languages. Stuff like that

Hi, a Spaniard here! Hehe Of course similar languages can be advantageous when you try to learn new ones, BUT for me (I speak 7 languages and the only latin-root one would be French) it boils down a lot to phonetics and grammar. I am super comfortable switching grammar structures (SVO to SOV like JP, KR and subordinate sentences in German... that's why they aren't funny xD). As difficult as pronunciation goes, I love Chinese because it is fairly simple. So my take is people learn languages from their hearts (like your mother tongue comes *usually* from a place of love) AND mindset, not because they are similar. I did some extended courses on neuroscience of the language, bilingualism and learning vs acquisition. Really interesting stuff ^^ PS. I have never in my life felt attracted/inclined to learn Italian xD (I have many Italian friends though and THEY actually understand Spanish better than Spanish people understand Italian, same with Portuguese people, from MY experience) PS2. I know it was an example, but I took the bait, since I felt it near to me :)

Correct me of I’m wrong. Juice Wrld and BTS collaborated during 2018 to release this song for one of BTS’ game OSTs called BTS World. Juice Wrld even went to Korea for this collab and probably this is where Suga and Juice Wrld made the song called Girl Of My Dreams (recently released). So yes, this collab was before Juice Wrld passed away. Such a great artist.

South Africa actually has 11 official languages but you're referring to Afrikaans which is very similar to Dutch and originates from the Dutch Settlers that arrived in the Cape. I am an English speaking South African but I have a school level fluency of Afrikaans and I was actually amazed at how much Dutch I understood in your video with your beautiful daughters! I knew it was similar but didn't realise it was that close. I agree, Korean is so far from English and I'm always amazed when they appear on songs like this and like Steve Aoki's Waste it on me.

Hey. The name of the language is Afrikaans in South Africa. I'm a Afrikaans speaker and their is similarities between Dutch and Afrikaans because of our colonial past as Afrikaans was influenced by Dutch and other languages. English is a Latin language and is derived from Latin similarly to most romance languages like French, Spanish, and Italian. Germanic languages like German, Austrian, Dutch, and that general area which are also derived from Latin but influenced by the Middle Eastern Languages like Arabic. It's why those in Europe find it easier to learn English because they're all taken from the same root language, Latin. Sorry for the long explanation but its something I know well and that's a veeeeeeery basic explanation.... so.... yeah....( ^_^)

Korean language is unique in many ways. It is not a part of a language family as germanic or Latin languages, just to mention some. It is a scientific language in a way that it was created. One of the few if any that has a birth year 1334. It was created by one of the King's that wanted to unified the country and help the low class to integrate as Chinese was difficult for poor people to learn and also because some sounds weren't properly represented by the Chinese language that was used till then.
