Omg this was in Paris, it was actually my first time seeing BTS perform in real life after 2 years of being an ARMY, i was so touched, they introduced me to Arirang with this performance, i remember the tears flooding my eyes as soon as i heard the first notes, it was so special i absolutely adore this

Thanks to BTS performance that day Arirang was the first korean folk song I became interested in. I did a lot of research of the song in order to understand the meaning and its history and it was beautiful what I learnt. Korea really has a beautiful culture and history

I'm not Korean but I grew up watching alot of shows on Arirang channel. This song makes me proud of South Korea. From a nation that was poor and had nothing but its people and hard work to a nation now ruling the world with its culture and of course technology. Korea is breaking alot of records here and there. I really like this song. It's rythm is so catchy and I thought it was BTS's song when I first heard it. Later I learnt it was a cover. But the song got stuck in my head ever since then and actually I was even humming the lyrics along right now. And that was surprising 'cause I never thought I would remember it after a long time. I already knew that the song held a special sentiment to all Koreans but watching your reaction literally gave me goosebumps. And it's wonderful that people are responding with joy. Korea used to feel so far away in the past, but today we're getting informed and visiting your country. BTS opened the door, many people walk through it and discover much more. I remember years ago I had the choice to go on a study trip to Korea or another country. I don't regret my decision to go to Korea. I found friends there too. Unfortunately we had to cancel our autumn trip. As soon as we have all the Covid-19 under control, we'll be on our way.
