Jimin as the black swan represents The Shadow, that's why he's been singled out (and he's the only contemporary dancer anyway) and has the wings, this video is an homage to the movie Black Swan and Jimin literally represents Nina, the main character of the movie. Also, the shadow behind Yoongi and Jungkook (beginning and end) is Jimin.

Jimin apart from his beautiful flowing ever moving style, has a jerky kind of movement he does frequently, something very reminiscent of a marionette whose strings are both pulled and cut, it's kinda creepy, and that's all Park Jimin

This MV with classy, artsy yet eerie look gave me vibes like the Blood, Sweat & Tears which Jimin slayed as well. All the members gave an amazing performance and visuals but this is Jimin's territory. Even the members spoiled us that Jimin is the black swan. I like how BigHit utilized Jimin's dance skills here. He is like a moving art, sharp yet graceful, detailed but full of emotions, sophisticated and controlled. I am beyond impressed. THE MEANING BEHIND THE TRACK HASNT REALLY CHANGED, NOW THEYRE JUST SHOWING THE SHADOWS WHILE JIMIN PHYSICALLY DISPLAYS THE MEANING OF THE SONG & BRINGS OUT HIS WINGS (which wasn’t part of their original choreography) this particular choreography was done by brailizan dancer along with their company’s personal choreographer Mr. Son Sun-Deuk where then Jimin helps the others since it’s more his style of dance. *The song is emotional even though it may not appear that way, it’s about a dancer who dies twice after they stop dancing but the first death is most painful* Their most scariest fear for them is one day they’ll lose the passion for music & dance making them die their first death. I was just going on break from work when the notification came in, so it was perfect timing for me. The move where Jimin's leg went up and around is called an illusion and takes a lot of balance and flexibility. I believe the theater where this was shot was also used for the Pretty Woman opera scene. The artistry in this mv is just above and beyond.

I was laying in bed and just waking up when Big Hit dropped this MV xD No but I was crying by the end of the MV because Jimin's contemporary dancing just STUNNED me. Like. That shadow choreo reminds me of Tae’s solo stage from the Dionysus intro. The first time I saw it I thought it was Hobi because of the haircut and how much neck there was, but now having watched the whole thing I think it is Jimin since he is the shadow interpretation here.

This is a beautiful MV & all the BTS member did such an amazing job!!! They truly are remarkable & beautifully harmonized group of young artists! We all can see Through out the video, Jimin is portraying so perfectly of each member’s emotional struggles of inner lights & darknesses as an idol & an artist with his amazingly beautiful contemporary dance movements! That is why when each member’s solo part of scene, Jimin would dance as their shadow at the back ground to show each member’s emotional changes, expressing their inner struggles & pain through his dance movements as their shadow! They have keep changing from white outfits to black outfits shows the constant inner struggles of lights & darkness in their mind! In the end, all BTS in black outfits showed that they have finally accepted their shadow! Also the changes of lighting effects showed that at the beginning of the MV, their shadows are behind them & showed with wild emotional dance movements to represent they were denying their own darkness(shadow) existence & their inner struggles with their shadows but when scenes changes to the end, the positions of their shadows were shown at their front to represent that BTS are finally confronting their own shadows & accepting their darkness(shadows) as a part of them! In the end, the scene with JK, his shadow is melting into JK as there is no more fighting with his darkness(shadow) when he was finally faced & acknowledging his shadow(darkness) & accepting all, light & darkness!!! This is just my personal opinion but It would have been more wonderful if their outfits of dancing scenes were not the suits but something more suitable for dancers outfit to ease their movements & show their beautiful outlines of the dance movements! Because with these spectacular artistic lighting effects they were using, it would have been wonderfully emphasized each member’s beautiful outlines of their dance movements so perfectly! Nevertheless this MV is really amazingly beautiful artistic masterpiece!!!

Cait did a spot on impersonation of Josh at .56 seconds lol. This dropped while I was at work so I had to wait for my lunch to see it, not disappointed! Beautiful shoot location and video all around.
