This songs actually not a love song, or at least not a love song about a person, it’s about their love of their music, it’s based on a quote about how dancers die two deaths, when they stop dancing for last time and when they actually die, BTS are questioning what happens if one day they stop loving the music they are making and performing and how it will be their ‘first death’

You’re right about the sentiments of the song, but the relationship is not with another person, but with their music.

This is not a love song.. it's a song that reflecting upon the fear of losing their passion for music.. for an artist, his/her first death comes when they leave their passion or they lose their passion.. in this song they are talking about their fear what happens if some day they don't have passion to make music or don't relate to music as much as they do now..they are questioning themselves.. what will happen then when they longer enjoy making music..

Most creative concept in the music industry EVER. Read somewhere it is about losing love for your art, in this case music.
@onyabeia832

They are talking about their love (and relation) for music. The first death of an artist is when they fall out of love of their art (here music)

BTS rarely write a love song for a person. Its always about them, the music, the art, the fandom Army and issues relevant to everyday like covid. But u can take ur own meaning to ur everyday life cos its dont make ur interpretation wrong.

BTS doesn't really sing about love relationships in general. It's mostly about life and loving yourself. And the reason why they resonate with A LOT of people is because aside from their work ethics, talent and humility they never had it easy from the start and they never ever forget this so they write songs about you and me and how we navigate through this life. The all English songs they have were made to help people soldier through this pandemic by singing something light and happy but there is A LOT and I mean A LOT more to them in their discography.

@@marigam Any love between a couple interpretation is largely a shallow one. But relationship primarily with yourself & then perhaps with the public, as in FAKE LOVE, or with ARMY that Halsey represents in BOY WITH LUV or among the group, as in early BU mv's are the deeper, more meaningful references -- one of the reasons I've pretty much abandoned most other entertainment for their various ones (RUN BTS !) and Kdramas. By the way, in early I NEED YOU mv, the visuals clearly show the relationship is the deep support system of "the friends", but RM said they changed to lyrics to "I need you, girl" because _somehow_ they figured it flowed better with the music. SMH.

There is other side of the coin-song for this "have i lost the passion for music?"- song that is being "love-drunk with your creativity and (in their case) your music" : Dionysus.

This is such a meaningful song, thanks for reacting to it! (Just letting you know at 6:00, they actually are saying “film it now”, I think it’s just their korean accents that struggle with pronouncing the word film because in korean you don’t often have two consonants together like this 😅 Like others have said, this song is about their fear of losing their love and passion for music, and I think the “film it now” might refer to the way cameras are following them almost 24/7, whether it be their own vlogs, variety shows, interviews, music videos etc or fans and paparazzi - I interpret it as being like “every moment becomes eternity” because it is filmed and recorded for all to see?)

I think it is intentional mumble - double entendre : with "film it now" from gyus who live camera to their face 20/7/365/10. And with feel it now, because through that already mentioned camera we can feel what they feel sometimes real time. When they laugh, when they cry, when they sing for us, when they hear us to sing to them..

They had a specific topic they were writing about but if you see it as about a relationship that’s perfectly fine! This is art after all. You perceive what you can relate to from it!

I think your take on this is really interesting! It’s so cool to see these songs through nonARMY povs. It’s fascinating how you related it to falling out of love w/ a person but it’s about falling out of love w/ your art. When your art/career/whatever is your life it becomes your identity so this song is about what happens when you no longer live it or it becomes dissociated from who you think you are or want to be. They are mourning the loss of passion but in the end, like most BTS songs, it’s about looking inside yourself & discovering the tools through that introspection to move through, survive, & thrive. There are no words for what these boys can do. There is an art film that is associated w/ this that makes it more clear that it is about an internal battle

Just a reminder: if you think any song is a love song by BTS it will probably be a fan-singer relationship song 😆 they rarely do any love song for a person. They do love songs for their music or instruments 😁😁💜 please do more BTS reactions! Their lyrics are very meaningful!

This song is about their love for music and the fear that they will lose their passion for music. It is based on a quote by dancer Martha Graham "A dancer dies twice - once when they stop dancing, and this first death is the more painful" - hence the lyrics "The heart no longer races, When hearing the music play, Tryna' pull up, Seems like time has stopped, Oh that would be my first death, I been always afraid of". PS: You need to watch until the end of BTS videos!

This song is not about a relationship, it's about losing your passion for dance, music, etc. Jimin - the one doing the solo dance and with the wings, is playing the black swan. And it is "Film it now" because film it now before this moment is gone. In Korean, the word film sound like "fil-em". Martha Graham wrote - "a dancer dies twice, once when they stop dancing, and the first death is the more painful." This quote is referenced in the art film of this song that has a dance company doing a beautiful dance to the orchestral version of this song. It actually came out first before BTS did this music video. I will post the shooting sketch and Jimin's solo if you want to check that out. Black Swan Shooting Sketch - kzbin.info/www/bejne/noKrYn-ndrxofLM Jimin's Solo Dance - kzbin.info/www/bejne/rn7JoWWgmLBoaK8 Thank you for your reaction, this is my favorite BTS video, it has a lot of meaning and I consider it one of their masterpieces. This was filmed at the Los Angeles Theater, and on this same trip, they also filmed their ON: Kinetic Manifest film. That one is filmed at the 'Sepulveda Dam'. It's located south of center in the San Fernando Valley in LA You might want to check that one out. 💜

This song is about a fear of loosing their passion for the music. The song starts with 'The heart no longer races when hearing the music play' As for 'Film it now', it sounds like 'filim it now' because it's hard for them to pronounce 'lm' and I think it sounds better audibly. Namjoon said on vlive when he did mots:7 behinds: 'All the moments become eternal. We are saying it to the audience, saying film it now, asking to film it'. So the closed captions aren't wrong.

One thing watching these reaction videos has taught me is not to open my mouth to explain a song to someone when it's the first time I'm hearing it. Sheesh. I'm no expert, but I love the sound of my own voice and now I see how embarrassing it can be.
