I even saw how you wanted to pause, got flustered, and momentarily forgot how, and I laughed SO hard. I can relate! They spit fire faster than I can read, so I always end up slowing the playback speed all the way to keep up, & then go back to normal to hear them properly. Most seem to like to do it the opposite, but usually for me I'm less distracted if I already have an idea of what they're saying and can appreciate the incredible skill & power they bring to my ears. You started apologising/defending yourself about exploring other-than-BTS and I hope you don't still feel the need to. Most importantly, this is your channel to do your way. You've got to do what you enjoy and what keeps you genuine. ARMY likes honest, genuine reactors. Funny helps, but *sincerity* & *respect* are key. If you enjoy a variety of groups/performers, fantastic! Just don't make comparisons, especially pitting one against another. There's plenty of multi-fandom reactors who love what they love & it's just fine. It's easy enough to not watch content we're not interested in, but I also use reactors responding to requests and the guidance they receive from other fandoms to explore music I wouldn't choose on my own. Most of it just doesn't resonate/connect with me, but occasionally I find a real treat. So you Do You. Be clear and Speak Yourself. I'm looking forward to your journey 💜💜

Suga's line "Go back to Hawaii" is a slap towards the underground rapper who gave them shit in their early days in an interview. To sum it up be basically called them sellouts because RM and Suga left the underground scene to become idols, and mocked them by comparing them to girls for wearing makeup on stage. Depending on how a group is formed some of the rappers are taught how to rap and others are naturally talented at it from the start. J-hope was not a rapper before he joined BTS but was an amazing dancer which I think influences his style of rap because he has that innate musicality. As for the jackass who disrespected the boys? He's a nobody and is basically known as THAT guy who ruined his entire career with a few ill chosen words. Sorry for the long post but this is my favorite cypher of the four.

I cant wait for you to watch the Cypher live medley. (Keep in mind Suga was sick that day.) After the Cyphers and the medley react to Ddaeng (pronounced 'dang') Live Prom Party Unit Stage and you may want to watch Ddaeng Explained which is a lyric explanation video that explains the genius of the lyrics. and Outro Tear, a live fancam from one of their concerts would be great. I got another good one if you like hop hop/rap and dancing. React to Dionysus Comeback stage (the one where they are in all white). Its with all 7 members. It's off their newest album. They've been around since 2013 and have a huge discography. Their music is very genre fluid: everything from hip hop. Rap. R&B, edm, trap, pop and rock. Tons of tracks to explore... RM, the leader of the group, is a literal genius with an IQ of 148 and is fluent in several languages which allows him to effortlessly flow between Korean/English. He is a master lyrics writer credited for writing over 123 of BTS's songs. He was recently quoted talking about how rap has moved away from good lyric writing but he will never do that. His music hs a message and should make you think. He is a main producer as well. Suga has written like 90+ tracks and JHope about 68+ tracks and they both produce. In addition Suga is a highly sought after producer and has produced music for other singers. He has even won an award equivalent to our AMA for producing. These guys are highly trained studied and serious about their craft. Enjoy!

This cypher was in response to haters in the early days who said they were basically sell outs because they decided to become kpop idols rather than staying underground rappers. The line 'go to Hawaii' was specifically for a guy B Free who was the worst offender ;he was from there. He and some other guys also said BTS were like girls because they wore stage make up. Incidentally. I'm a 54 year old english woman who basically stopped listening to music in 1985 when House became popular. I knew nothing about hip hop,thought rap was all noise and had no relevance to me...until my daughter introduced me to BTS. Sounds over dramatic, but these guys have really got something..I can't get enough of them. A few years ago I didn't even know what a cypher was,never mind commenting on you tube videos when I am supposed to be getting ready for work!

The 7 members of Bangtan’ Just be sure you pay attention and pause when you need to because you’ll have to do quite a bit of reading, but it’ll give you a whole new level of appreciation for the group! If you’re still wanting to know more about the members individually, a KZbinr by the name of Squishy Min Yoongi made 7 videos based on each member and they each give a more detailed story on them all. Please check out Born Singer by BTS (the 2015 live performance). It was one of their early songs, and it does a great job of explaining all the hardships they had to overcome to get to where they are now, especially RM and Suga's verses. It's one of their best live performances ever.

They have great live performances. Not just that they spit but they have stage presence, they deliver more on lives. Also i’m not sure if you are into other genres but they do a lot of genres not just hiphop and rap. They were underdogs and was looked down by the kpop industry cuz they started off with nothing, now they are bigger than the kpop industry. BTS has an obscene discography. You will never be done, and that is no complaint! They have heavy hip hop influences but they also hit other genres as they experiment with their music: R&B, jazz, reggeton, EDM, Rock, straight pop, ballads...etc. If you ever get your fill of hip hop BTS (hahaha), I suggest giving V’s Singularity a shot. Smooth ass R&B. That boy so smooth, silk is jealous. 🔥

These cyphers are dedicated to their haters namely a rapper called B Free. B free in front of RM and Suga on a radio talk show basically called them sellouts and not true rappers because they joined BTS as Korean idols. He also made comments dissing them about wearing makeup (which is very common for male idols on stage to wear makeup). When Suga in this cypher said go back to Hawaii he is referring to B Free, what’s where he lives. I love how they absolutely tear him to shreds in their lyrics. You should check out Ddaeng by the rap line, you’d love it.

The process these guys go thru in being an artist in the kpop industry is nonstop. They have a hand in writing, producing, learning new music, new choreography for every song, having a hand in their tours, touring, award shows, special shows for Army, they do it all and these guys have been doing and learning the whole time. On top of BTS, they are working on their own things, mixtapes, collaborations, Suga has collaborated, written, composed and produced for other artists...hes also an award winning producer. These boys work hard for their passion!! They do so damn much and they give love to Army. They also donate their own money to charities they care about. I mean they bust their asses. They finally had about a 2 month break, their first one since their debut in 2013.

This is the cypher I was waiting for you to experience 😆 Cypher Pt, 2 is like my favorite, but Pt. 3 & 4 are also fire. When I went to their concert at the Rose Bowl, I was blown away, in my mind I was like “These guys are legit rappers!” Like I could tell without knowing them well enough. So when I went through their cyphers, Pt. 2 blew my mind lol. Anyway, hope you enjoy the next two cyphers. After you finish the cyphers, you should see them do it live. The video is called 2017 Memories BTS’ Cypher Medley. But i wouldn’t be mad if you want to check other well known BTS songs’ first. I would recommend “Idol” and “Not Today.”

Just a little backstory...when BTS first started they were getting a lot of hate from the underground hip hop community for being traitors. RM and Suga were both part of the underground hip hop scene before they decided to be a part of BTS. There’s a video (search: bfree bts) of rappers basically telling them that they’re sell-outs and basically “girls” because they’re kpop idols that where makeup...etc. Watch the video and you’ll know the meaning behind the cyphers. The cyphers are also addressing all the haters they had to deal with throughout their career as BTS.

Cypher 3 is my "getcho azz outta bed" song. It was my fave overall BTS track but now I can't choose.
