@@housnaaouad5428 It was so great. There were so many ARMYs and we were so loud. You can tell he doesn't sing into the mic sometimes and that's because we were so loud he didn't need to...like the whole Dynamite song everyone was singing every word clearly. He has an unbelievable stage presence. We could tell he was happy and touched by the crowd. We were hanging out on the side until the performer before him left but we still got a really good view. We saw TXT the day before and they had a nice crowd but because they didn't have big screens we couldn't see much of the dancing. On Hobi's day we went to the merch shop and asked if they had anything J-hope. When I stepped away the cashier yelled...'we're sold out of J-hope and TXT' and a bunch of people walked away. 😂

This was something JHOPE had to do but It was more than challenging - he confronted his fears head on and you may not have noticed but he lost a lot of weight because working on the album, all the promotions and preparing for the concert consumed him to the point where he was not eating or sleeping. Jimin flew out to be his rock and help see him through. As others said - I recommend watching the post concert VLIVE. It is very touching and revealing. The take home is that JHOPE Is HOBI, HOSEOK and BTS JHOPE - all sides which he describes so beautifully in EGO. Also just think it is the first time doing an entire concert by himself - he planned every moment to the last detail and gave a legendary lollapalooza performance - lucky for us he’s chosen to keep burning brighter 💜

Seeing him with a huge crowd in the US singing his songs in korean is amazing. That night he presented some songs from his "Hope World" mixtape released in 2018, his solo BTS songs and of course his recent first album "Jack In The Box". That night he showed what it means to be a complete artist and performer!

I thought that would have been a cool stage along with Jimmin but he would have to learn the new choreo tho. But I guess some ppl said that it wouldn't be fair if Jimmin came on stage as it would take more attention off of JHope's performance. But I would have loved it just as much. I'm glad he came to support him. He said that he made him feel more at ease and energize as well. Just like Hobi does for the other members and ppl.

What a concert!! I can't see how anyone would ever top that. I'm so impressed! The duality of this man and his stage precense is unmatched! He gave everything he had all the way through. Even when he was getting tired he just kept on going full energy with a big smile! (I think he cut out the usual dance break and add-libs in Just Dance because he had to save energy for chicken noodle soup. It sounded that way from what he talked with Jimin about afterwards).

I still can’t believe that I was there for this amazing performance by j-hope! I drove up and back from Knoxville - a ten hour drive - and it was worth every minute, mile, and dollar. The crowd was SO hype - singing every lyric, in THREE languages, dancing, and just sharing the fun and joy and supporting Hobi with all of our hearts. There were a lot of non-BTS, non-jhope fans there, too, and I’ve seen so much positive feedback for him. I had never been to a festival like this before, and I probably won’t go again, but this one was an experience of a lifetime and I couldn’t be happier to have been there in that crowd. Seeing Hobi afterwards on his Vlive, so happy after being so stressed and under pressure leading up to it - it made it all that much better. If you watch, Hobi looks to Jimin a couple of times in this performance - most notably when he sings “where is my safety zone?” - he points up and to his right. Jimin was on a viewing platform behind the stage for the whole concert, dancing and singing along, completely supporting his hyung. You can find videos of him watching on Tik Tok, Twitter, and KZbin.

36:10 EXACTLY! And that is the reason why BTS is as huge as they are. They are 7 world class artists, all very different from each other but equally amazing artists, all of them in one group. No wonder BTS is the biggest in the world. J-hope was amazing here (he always is) this concert was sooooooo f*ckin good. I have watched it so so so many times. I don't know how many hours it must be I spent rewatching it and it's just as amazing every time. He really could have gone on tour with this. I am also so excited to see them all together in concert in October in Busan and also for their solo albums and collabs etc. that we are going to get now. I'm so happy they decided to do this and get to do exactly whatever they feel like without compromising with the group or for it to fit BTS. I think it will be so much fun for them and inspiring for them all and then so much fun for them to work together and tour together afterwards. WOW every time I watch j-hopes Lolla performance I get this great feeling and also that knot in my stomach that I don't want it to be over. Epic performance!

A few things, some hopefully have been mentioned already. It's pertinent that you listen to both Hope World and ESPECIALLY, Jack In the Box in their entirety, in order, asap. You should also watch some of Hobis intv that he did prior to Lolla where he expresses WHY this album is so important to him in regards to not just his career but congruent to his life. Also, watch Hobis VLive that he did immediately after getting off stage (like 45 later he went live) and had a guest with him who helped him through a lot of the angst and nerves he was dealing with in preparation for Lolla and as the first member to do solo performance and do his own music justice. Its extremely beautiful. He was actually on the right in the high box. Hobis acknowledges him 2 or 3x during the set. Lastly, some of the translations from this vid weren't accurate. Watch this again directly on BangtanTv (no need to record it for us) listen to the album and PLEASE watch his lyric vids on bangtantv as well, so you'll hopefully have a better understanding on how deep this album truly is (again, on your own time). There arent 2 sides to Jung Hoseok. He simply put on an impossible persona for years to make others happy, but at what cost?

It's so funny you guys said that about the members! Jimin was up in the VIP section to the right on the stage watching the entire performance! I stood for 7 hours and 45 minutes just to see him on Sunday night, he was absolutely amazing live! I cried when he did Piece of Peace ✌️ 😭 there were so many ARMY there it was insane! And they ranged in age from 7 years to 70 years old! He was so much fun! I would drive the 6 and 1/2 hours again for sure just to see him! Fun fact he broke records for attendance on a Sunday at Lollapalooza, and with the amount of people who came to Chicago fed over 4 billion dollars into the Chicago economy! It also enabled Lollapaloozas contract to be renewed for 10 more years! It took my friend and I 1/2 hour waiting in line to ride an elevator up to our room in the hotel! He was the last performance of the night. I also saw Erica Banks, DJO, Kid Laroi, and Charlie XCX. Green Day also played.

He flied from Korea day or 2 days before the show to Chicago and surprised Hobi and he was on the right upside of the stage, on the first floor you can see hobi looking at him time to time. I love that Sienna dance with him on stage, that one with log blonde hair, she is very young talented woman and choreographer, she is answerable for some bts choreography like ON ETC. I love that they perform always together if they have a chance, it's very good he wasn't alone here. He had Jimin in the VIP seats, sienne and backy G, i happy to see it. AND I AM PROUD OF HIM, this performance is absolutely amazing. He actually paverd the way.

It was beyond amazing - Love being one of the over 50 crowd in the mix. They added 10 minutes to his 1 hour set around 4pm. It was originally 9-10. Some acts play a little less and some more. Generally about 50-60 minutes per act and it is 4 days now. I went to other shows before his that day so was not super close but was in the middle of that sea of army bombs and those who said they lowered the crowd noise were absolutely right - it was so awesome to hear everyone singing all the songs (even if we did not speak korean) Was so proud of him going through everything he must have faced doing this alone and first out of the gate. The band was so great and the dancers too. Will be one of the best musical experiences of my life.

that was very disrespectful, a corny army joke that should never be brought to j-hope's solo gig.

@@uvayakone9281 I agree no need for the Yoongi Marry sign, I am wondering if the same girl was at TXT performance the day before as I saw some MOAS videos and you can see a Yoongi Marry me sign and by the look on Kai's face when he saw that sign he was not very happy

2:27 Only Jimin was there. He flew 17 hours to be there and support Hobi who really needed his friend. Jimin and Hobi are really close. You can see him in clips looking up at Jimin who were watching from up on the side. And if you watch the Vlive Hobi did right after this you hear him talk alot about how much it meant to have him there and thanking Jimin multiple times. I recommend you watch that vlive just to get more a look into how much Hobi worked for this performance and to get to know them better.

I get using the tropical version of Dynamite to start the second set but for me a track which wasn't mostly back track would have been my preference. For instance, if Ego was moved up then replaced by Airplane it would have been straight up J Hope. That said, the performance was so next level I think he set a seriously high bar for the other six members.

To answer your question, Jimin was there too. From certain angles we could see him on the backstage balcony. Something I'm proud about is Army learning the lyrics to the Jack in the Box songs so quickly. The album is addicting so I play it multiple times per day, so I understand lol but it was really nice to see his music being appreciated. Like others have said, the crowd is for sure turned down/muted in some parts because we were singing word for word 😂. You're right, the only bad part is that it ended, but on the day of, it was SO hot and my feet were killing me by then.
