Yup thats the shadow speaking at the end. Theres one part saying he’s afraid of success and how it can change a person into a monster, then the other is saying he wants to be successful and he wants everything. He basically acknowledges the negative effects of being in a spotlight constantly and the pressure, which he hates. BTS is mindful of the success and thats why in this series their gunna dig deep down to their soul, hence “Map of the Soul”. These guys are truly artists and this is one of many reasons why I’m sure me and other ARMYS support them really hard.

the video is basically split into yoongi and suga from bts and when the beat drops and it became aggressive it’s his shadow taking over control over the song!! :)

At the end part It was his shadow singing saying they’re the same person and yoongi (suga) can’t escape him It’s show how scary the fame is , and how he wants success, how scary it is at the top but also he’s afraid of losing it too The image and everything in the mv is actually scary 😭

Omg y’all are hittin the nail on the head. This series of albums are going to be based on Carl Jung’s ego persona shadow theme. First album of this series was persona hence RM’s trailer of persona, then this album (7) will feature Suga’s shadow and we are thinking JHopes Ego?? next month for this album. And yes i agree i think it’s def younger Suga thinking “i want it all” and current Suga saying “no you don’t” Also the “O!RUL82?” That’s running in the back that’s an old album. Persona trailer was a throw back to “2 Cool 4 Skool” intro from their first album so this trailer was a throwback to “o!RUL82?” Intro from their second album, we think the next into will be reminiscent of either the outro from that album or the third albums intro. So much to take it, we purple you! 💜💜💜💜💜💜

omg, you guys were on point with the meaning of the song. I love your reactions! I hope you will check out theory videos as well because there're a lot of art and literature references in this mv. My to-go channels are xCeleste, JoseOchoaTV, and Bookish Theories. Most ARMYs agree that these are the top 3 theory channels when it comes to Bangtan Universe (BTS storyline). I guarantee that you guys will learn more than what you expected through Bangtan Universe, just like how my mind was blown away by all the arts, literature, psychology, and mythology that BTS has introduced to me. Yes, for a college student who doesn't have a tiny interest on those things rather than science, I am now willing to watch Crash course about psychology and Mythology for hours lmao. Enjoy!

This song was probably made during the fake love era where suga discussed during bangtan dinner party about flighing high but not landing scares him.

I love all of them but there's just something with Yoongi that made him my bias. Out of all the members, I connect to him the most. His lyrics always hit me hard, I was jamming on my first watch, and when I turn on the lyrics, I was just speechless. It's nice to see artists opening up to their fans, with their worries and what they're thinking. Speaking of good lyrics, RM did a collab with a great singer Younha not too long ago, it was very beautiful. You guys should definitely check this one out next time, like I literally teared up with the lyrics 'cause I'm having a hard time these past few months, it's called "Winter Flower" Edit: Winter Flower doesn't have any MV since it's just a b-side track, but there's plenty of lyrics videos for it :)

Oh my god I finally found yall! I remember watching your BTS Nobodies to Legends video and loving your reactions and editing, but because of my not so good memory I lost track of your channel. Just by this interlude of Suga I already feel that the upcoming album would be so so great!! Hope someday you can do a marathon of all BTS' music videos since from the start especially the HYYH era. Also if you have some time I wanna recommend Loona to you, they're a really unique girl group. Just to break down, all of the members are revealed one by one every month (there's also sub-ubits) with their own album! Loona also have a complicated story line but let's not stress on that, there's a lot to catch up so I won't pressure you two! React to them only if you feel like it 💕

The first Map of the Soul album, aptly titled “Map of the Soul: Persona” touched on the persona or our “public” self...while the second album will touch on Shadow and Ego....thanks for your rxn! RM is the only member who is semi-fluent in English. It's one thing being able to sing or rap lyrics you wrote, but it's another being able to spontaneously carry a conversation.

also just wanted to say, bts has a very diverse discography and only a few of their songs are actually pop...they have SO MANY songs with such good melody, beat and lyrics and very few have a music video.
