BTS is a 7 member kpop group that debut in 2013 when the youngest was 15. So they have worked hard for a very long time. When some of them were very young. The youngest now just turned 20 September 1st. When they debut they were more hip hop focused but have done a lot of different genres since then. That's a big reason why they have such a huge fan base. Because they do a lot of different things. Another reason is they write and produce their own music. And their lyrics are always so beautiful and heartfelt. There are also one of the only kpop groups to take a stand about social issues in their songs. Because most kpop groups don't. Which is another reason why they are so popular. Bts does a lot of different genres which brings in a lot of different fans. The group consists of 4 vocalists and 3 rappers. I can promise you the rappers are so amazing. 2 of the 3 were underground rappers before joining BTS. Which was going to be a all rapper hip hop group until they changed their minds I guess. The vocalist are amazing as well. And put together it makes this group beyond compare. These boys have been trained like all kpop idols. Some of them were trainees for even 4 years. So this of course did not come easy to them. Obviously their talent was there but they had to work very hard to get where they are now. BTS always have subtitles on their music videos btw. BTS is a group of some of the kindest and most caring boys you will ever meet. They work so hard for us. And try to make us happy no matter what. Recently since their comeback just happened they were performing a lot. And they worked so hard one of them needed help standing because he was exhausted and another member had to help hold him up. They are very hard workers. They dance and sing live. Which is unbelievable. Sometimes they do use backing tracks but they are always singing with it as well. Which I understand considering most of their choreography is very hard. They won a billboard music award recently. Top social artist. They beat out Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, and Shawn Mendes. They also made a record of being the first kpop group to attend the BBMAS and the first to ever win an award. They also just preformed at the American Music Awards. And killed it. They are bringing a lot of light to Kpop and opening a lot of people's eyes to music of other cultures. All of their videos usually hit around 96 million views or more. They are very popular. BTS have already won a lot with their song DNA as well. They quickly became the most viewed Kpop group video in 24 hours. Which I think was 21M? I can't remember exactly. But their fan base is crazy and amazing. We are called the ARMY Because there are so many of us. ARMY stands for Adorable Representative MC for Youth BTS is an acronym for Bangtan sonyondan which translates to Bulletproof Boyscouts. Another one of their names is Beyond The Scene. BTS work very hard and have become very big. But they have stayed so humble as well. And even with all of their new fame they still care for us and interact with us. Even the international fans here in the U.S. as well. They live stream and talk with us. And record videos for us all the time. They always think of their fans first. And they are always worried and caring for us as well. These boys as so genuine and I'm so glad you took time out to react to them. I really hope you react to more of their songs. And hopefully even some live preformances because they are amazing.l

I do think gangnam style is not appropriate kpop song/mv to represent kpop. First, Psy is solo artist while kpop is actually most known with kpop groups. Second, his songs are really different with what actually kpop used for. Third, his visual is totally different with what represent kpop truthfully. Whatever it is, BTS is really great group to represent kpop right now. They are like most famous or one of the best kpop group right now. BTS is known for producing own music. Everything about them is amazing. BTS is actually start off as hip hop group but then they have venture to many genres as they produced own music. Try check their more songs, you would be amazed how flawless they can turn to any genres.

This will get deep but I feel like we're at the start of a very important revolution , not just for music but for mankind in generals. K-pop breaks alot of are considered "norms" in the western music culture, it's facinating to see it. Like how hiphop has to be all masculine and and macho, it has to give that gangster vibe into to call it hiphop, and i disagree with that. What k-pop is slowly doing is to let people realize that sexuality isn't static what's attractive to humans is constantly changing and that it is ok to gay,lesbians or whatever sexual attractions your brain is wired to have. So i truly believe the k-pop community will break so many barriers and take everyone to a higher level of intelligence, compassion and conciousness. Music is music, as long as it's good it shouldn't matter who's doing it and how it is done. And that is what k-pop and k-hiphop brings to the table and it's going to break all the negative stereotypical judgements about asians and hiphop music in general, i love it.

Unlike how most of the world was introduced to back in 2012, most of kpop isn't just like Psy's Gangnam Style. Sure it has those kinds of music videos as well, but it isn't just that. It's literally just music in Korean. :) Glad you see it in a new light now. If you decide to check out some more, I recommend live performances of BTS, try Go Go and DNA.

BTS is currently the TOP KPOP group right now. Their production, music, choreography, energy, etc are all top notch you won't be disappointed. This is Kpop, it defies the boarders of musical genre, it borrows what it needs from each style(s). Essentially, they follow the definition of pop music as originated from the west; however, the Koreans do it without prejudice to any genre/style. The result of their music making varies (good to bad), but when they get it right it is awesome.

So happy that people are getting informed about what kpop really is.. It is literally Korean pop.. So there can be loads of different styles.. But it's quite different from American pop as kpop is more eye catching and well produced(in my opinion anyway).. Very glad you guys enjoyed it😆I also think that kpop is a lot more fun if you know the members personalities and names😏As a fan I'd suggest you react to the series "An introduction to BTS" by Squishy Min Yoongi.. There are 7 videos in these series for each member.. It goes in depth about them and even though it's basically just facts about the members it's so well done and in such a light-hearted and hilarious manner that makes it super fun to watch!So you getting info while having a good old time😂Hope this helps😆
