Army has been telling anyone who will listen that BTS are the best, fantastic singers, rappers, songwriters, dancers etc and too often we get the reply " I don't listen to Kpop" like they think they know what it is and they wont like it. WHY ????

I am not an ARMY but I appreciate good talent and good music . . . BTS has blown me away since I discovered them just last December . .. this song, along with Black Swan is my fave song from them . .. my heritage is Filipino and so proud that this song, along with Black Swan was by Filipino-Americans - melody and lyrics in collaboration with RM . . . BTS is indeed on a different level

Its like a mini documentary of the recording of the song and how everyone played a huge part in the production plus we get to see how impactful BTS music is on the world and their fans

The choreo in this is untouchable but for "a movie", you really gotta watch the original MV. Absolutely full of Jungian, Biblical, and Alchemical symbolism and references. The more you study, the more you'll get out of it. This song comes off of the album Map of the Soul 7, which shares a name with the Murray Stein book summarizing the psychological model created by Carl Jung. This song is the Confrontation with the Shadow, the part of yourself you can't accept/isn't accepted by society. Starting off lost because some part of you is unavailable (because you pushed it down), the song turns to face the pain of Individuation ("Bring the pain.") The Persona is the face you show the world, the Ego is the part of the self you accept and identify with, and the Shadow is all that's under the line of consciousness.
