fun fact: this was taken in one take and youre right, the song was written for army when they were as a grp not doing so well, they later released a song called "i m fine" which is the new version of this song written when they finally made it.

the "be ourselves" in the caption, in Korean is "우리가 돼젔어" (uriga dwaejeosso) which literally means "we happened" and can also mean "we are us(as in they're themselves)"/ "we turned out the way we do" RM may be talking about it as BTS or as BTS and ARMY. It can also be used for a group of people, one person or two. I'm writing and explaining but I'm also mindblown by this language

I read a comment about bts finding you when you need them. I can say that's the truth. When I first got sick and the doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong( basically a walking medical textbook) and they told me I couldn't work any more that my body was shutting down and I was going to die if I didn't . the depression oh the depression and not being able to take any type of medication for it. I found btw or they found me. Louder then bombs. That song gets into my feels. It literally made me emotionally better. It gave me a light.The second one was 00:00 o'clock. Something about BTS just pulls you in and speaks to your soul. You don't feel as alone in your head. I was actually surprised how into them I got. I had heard fire and a few others but these two songs. I would like to think that no matter who you are and what you are feeling BTS has a song that fits.

Thank you for your reaction. Cool side note. They shot this video all in one take. That was another reason for a lot of the camera movement. Also, most of their songs are to ARMY and not specifically about a women or relationship. This song is part of the BU which is a very deep storyline. It's full of many different messages and meanings but it's all beautiful.

Yeah, pretty much. It's a simple message, about desperation and needing someone else to save you. There is a continuation to this song! - called I'm fine. ^^ Save me is on the album You never walk alone, so there is also meaning in that sense.

When i first started my reactions i’d say they were different mostly because i was not as comfortable in front of the camera. i’ve always wanted to review music and be able to add an analytical input on the matter which is why my content and commentary has changed so drastically over the year. My attitude towards Bts mostly changed after listening to the rap line and each individuals story. They speak the truth and i’d like to emphasize that 👏🏾

When you said "BTS saved me" it hit me differently and I felt that. Like that is what most ARMY would say if you ask them how and when they met BTS. Most of us met them at our lowest points.

First of... I love your reactions/reviews,so thank you for the great work. Also, I had the same experience as you with BTS' Fake Love. Heard it back when it released, played it on repeat but didn't know who the artist was. Then fell down the BTS rabbit hole in late 2019. And had that epiphany - "I know this song!!" when I heard it on a BTS playlist. Don't know the language but the song spoke to me.

It was also a one take video. Also is was freezing on set. If you notice their hands(especially Jungkook's) are so red because of the cold. BTS definitely come into your life at the most needed time.💜

Save Me was the first BTS and first full "kpop" song I ever heard too. I heard it while searching for the group that told me to "Say My Name" on an ad that I accidentally skipped out of before I knew that their name was "Ateez", lol. Lesson for all rookies: TELL them your name so they don't randomly search kpop and find the biggest group ever!🤣 Save Me hit me like a ton of bricks! I had to see more from this group, and they were on page after page of search results for my random "kpop" query by my fifth MV I was a ARMY and headfirst down the rabbit hole. Save Me really saved me, all by "accident" and thanks to Ateez, lol, 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Really weird, but I have the same story with this song. I watched the MV for it back in 2016, after hearing it in the background of another video and scouring the comments for the name. I really liked the song, but I had just watched the MV the one time and then after a short while forgot the name of it and the group, although I'd think about it every once in a while wishing I could remember. And then over a year later in 2017, I watched their Mic Drop MV, and then delved more into their music videos and then found Save Me again.

They have another song named "I'm Fine," where they tell the person who saved them that they don't need to hold their hand anymore; they're alright now and can feel the sunshine on their faces by themselves. They took the instrumental of Save Me and flipped it to make I'm Fine. They also took the image of the words Save Me and flipped it to spell out I'm Fine. BTS is adamant that people should not stay in their shitty times and should move forward themselves.
