Hi! Welcome to BTS! They are quite far from being a typical boyband and you will notice it if you keep on reacting to their music. They write and produce most of their music and lyrics. BTS is composed of 3 rappers and 4 vocalists, 2 of the rappers coming from the hip hop underground scene. They have more than 300 songs in Korean and Japanese, including the three songs in English they published during the pandemic for their worldwide fans (Army is the name of our fandom, it's an acronym and means Adorable Representative MC for Youth). It was about the fact the industry and the haters of BTS have always poured hate on them. They have always been the underdogs. This was their answer to those people. They've face so much hatred. They always sing and talk about important issues. This is them saying we are done with you your hatred we are just going to do what we do. We know are worth, we have all the awards to prove it and the love of our fans (ARMY). They now have over 800 music awards.

Bts is not just a pop group, even at the beginning they were a Hip Hop group but then they do different types of music (Hip pop, Rap, Pop, EDM, R&B,Rock, latin pop, Ballad) Bts is 7 members with 3 rappers and 4 vocalist. They are very talented people with raping, singing,dancing and known with crazy performance on stages they are amazing Artists but their personalities is are an other level that makes fall in love with them deeply. Much of their work(music) is about mental helth, enxiety, self love, hard work, social and economic injustices, youth and female impowerment, ..... and other so mainy important issues which is why they help millions of people around the world and they have strong love and connection with their fans called "Army" They are the most hamble, genuine, down to earth, funny, and talented people. As you mention there is confusion due to the KPOP denomination, which is really used outside Korea since it is known as idol. This industry encompasses the genres that are popular in Korea, such as rap, hip hop, pop, edm, trap, rock, R&B, etc. BTS debuted in 2013 as a hip hop idol group, even has the best rap line of the industry (3) and also 4 of the best vocalists. They have not stayed in a single genre but in their catalog as a group (and also in their work as soloists) you can find songs of various genres and also mergers (such as ballads, Latin pop, traditional, jazzy, blues, etc). This song is one of those who dedicate to their haters for this reason they mention their achievements, it is not because they are presumed because they remain humble and grateful. When they debuted their agency was small and did not have many resources, in addition the times in the media were mostly destined for the Big 3 groups (even at that time the Daesang or main awards were for these groups); Even so, they noticed from their debut and although many told them that being a small company they would not achieve it, they were gradually growing in popularity in the meantime they suffered from hate and discrimination.

This song is for haters who are harsh towards them and talking down to them. Even if you don't like some of their songs you can always find some other songs you will love. They have soooo many different styles of songs and many of them have deep meanings. More you get to know them and their history, you will fall for them. By the way their fans range very young to 90+ yrs old and the majority of them are adults (30, 40+, 50+) and from all over the world with different professions.

BTS makes music for all age groups, not just little girls. When you view other informational videos that mention age groups you will be very surprised. There is a population of young adults to older that have the means to buy their items. This doesn't mean everything they create we can buy. They also have a population of males that follow them as well and go to their concerts. Please note that other entertainers have made comments about their music being for little girls and Army has gone after them.

BTS have a wide discography with a lot of different genres in it. If u like hip - hop i suggest you to listen to Hip - hop lover, Outro:Tear, Ugh, Ddaeng ( u can find the english lyrics videos on KZbin ). BTS rappers were underground ones before their debut in this group

BTS are very versatile artists, their discography is huge and they don’t stick to just one genre, although they do have a lot of hip hop influence on their music (they have expressed it in interviews and so on). Usually, people who react to BTS for the first time, choose their English songs which are not as deep as the ones in Korean. So the have the tendency to think that BTS is just another typical boy band. They thought BTS's fans are only screaming teenage girls which is totally not true. I'm 48 years old and I love these young men because of the message they send to the general public through their music. "Mic Drop" a song for their haters. They came from a small company and had to work hard to reach where they are now. They have a lot of haters especially fans of another KPop groups from who are from big labels. BTS literary poured their blood, sweat and tears just to climb the mountain of success and become the biggest group in the world. Their story is very inspirational. A lot reactors were only curious about them but when they started to react to BTS, they found themselves diving into the rabbit hole. LOL! You might be interested to check out their other MVs. Here are some recommended ones "BLACK SWAN", "FAKE LOVE", "BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARS", "DNA" "IDOL", "ON: Kinetic Manifesto", "NO MORE DREAMS", "RUN BTS (Dance Practice)", "DANGER", "NO", "Dope", "BOY WITH LUV" They also have 3 English Songs "DYNAMITE", "BUTTER", and "PERMISSION TO DANCE" which they released during the pandemic to spread positive vibes. BTS' MVs usually have a lot of symbolism, cultural, social, political, psychological and literary references. BTS ARMY (fanbase) are very supportive of BTS. BTS has had to deal with hate, racism, and xenophobia. They came from the bottom, from a small agency in South Korea, and were told by many people they would never succeed. They worked hard and had their fanbase alongside them the whole way.
