Hi Peachy! As a Jin bias, you should know that Fire helped him to be more himself. Singing "It's ok to lose" relieved him, he felt less pressure and became the happy man we know today!!! Yoongi is the king of ASMR, there is some compilations of just him talking with his husky voice...just so relaxing and enticing.

OMG when I went to my second BTS concert we went to the pop-up store in Chicago before the concert and my daughters stood in line for like 2 hours. This song was playing loud in like a warehouse type setting it was fire! 🔥🔥🔥 I'm so used to listening to BTS in my car or at home. But to hear their music loud and pumping through giant speakers oh my God their music sounds much more powerful!

I think fire was one of the first songs that I watched from BTS (along with Fake Love). Even though I joined Army 4 years later, I still remember that I liked the song sooo much, now I really regret that I didn’t get into their content at that time (around 2018). I found bts the week they debuted...and i still haven't seen all of the bts content. i don't know if it's humanly possible. lol. fire was right before the wings album, it was on "the most beautiful moment in life:young forever" album. the love yourself series is later on. always love to see ppl's reactions to fire era jin. i swear he had ppl in a chokehold at the time. he was feeling confident as this was the comeback right after he went viral for as "car door guy", and ppl were going crazy when the teaser pics were released with his blond hair. bts were really gaining popularity this era, and even more when blood, sweat, and tears was released next. also the "boy meets what" at the end was a teaser for the intro song for the wings album: boy meets evil. there's a comeback trailer of it which is worth checking out.

Soukie said on 2/5/22 Honestly I can't speak for what Suga really wanted the "I'll forgive you" to mean, but since you asked for our interpretation of it I'll share mine ^^ For me the song is about how society makes "rules" and "molds" that make us miserable if we don't follow them. Hence my interpretation of "burn it up" and "fire": it's like they're encouraging the listeners to just burn that checklist that we use to compare ourselves with to others or determine our value in society. It's almost revolutionary lyrics asking people to rebel against the preconceived ideas of our society and put our happiness first. But if you destroy something usually you get blamed for it. So for me "I'll forgive you" is another part of the encouragement they're giving as though they're saying "Just go for it, do whatever you want to do to be happy, even if others blame you for going against the system or being a rebel, we're on your side, we'll forgive you in their stead." O!RUOT7,2? said on 12/22/22 Fun story from Armys. There was an Army who visited Korea and saw trash burning outside a restaurant. Said Army does not speak Korean at all, but because of this song knew that the Korean word for Fire is: bultaoreune. So to get the attention of the restaurant workers, she kept on pointing and saying Bultaoreune until the restaurant owner saw and put out the fire. 😊 S said on 12/22/22 There was another story where an int'l army was in a Korean restaurant and the food was not heated so she called waiter and asked him to heat the food again but the waiter couldn't understand so she literally sang bultaoreune and then that's when the waiter understood.
