That is part of a 3+hour concert for that world tour. That was back when they took turn with solo songs/performances as well as group performances and a few moments where they would talk to ARMY but yeah. No opening act. Just BTS. My first concert was the Speak Yourself leg of this world tour when they performed at Soldier Field in Chicago. They sold out every stadium on that tour, and had multiple days in each of the cities. AUGH i miss them!

I saw them perform this at MetLife in 2019 and in LA in 2021. There is nothing more powerful than a stadium full of people singing “You can’t stop me, loving myself” I hope you’ll watch the Black Swan live performance from Permission To Dance: On Stage.

Their concerts are about 2.5 hours long. I've never been lucky enough to see them live in person, but I have watched many a concert live stream, whether it be an official stream, or a fan one on Twitter or TikTok in potato quality. They are incredible performers.

Seriously thought the whole stadium was going to come down when I saw this live... all four times! But you should watch the full choreo version, too. I recommend the Jimmy Fallon video, which is covid times so no audience, but they were at Gyeongbokgung Palace and did it live and it's amazing!

Idol is one of the best live performance songs I've ever seen. The energy during that song in person is UNREAL.

As you work your way through the songs, there are multiple ways to watch each of them. We tend to suggest "one" rendition of a song based on what the reactor is interested in. So, videographers and story tellers tend to get suggestions for the official MVs. Dancers and choreographers tend to get suggestions for the dance practices. Vocal coaches get live performances and producers/lyricists get the lyric videos that just play the song and show the lyrics with English translations. Lyricists also get the "Explained by" videos where channels like KDKDTV do a deep dive into what the songs mean to a Korean and how cultural context adds so much dimension to the lryics, often with the rap songs (Ugh, Ddaeng, Baepsae. Korean Armies will say that they wish non-Korean Armies could understand the deep poetic nature of BTS's lyrics in Korean, but the explained videos are as close as we can get. All that to say - you are kind of a unicorn for us in that you value multiple expressions of their talent. If you have the time, we will hang with you. If you like the dance as much as the songs, it's just a suggestion to add layers to the reaction. Becuase of how the performances are filmed, almost always you can't see the full choreography. Some songs don't even show the choreography in the official MVs (On, Like Crazy come to mind). All that to say, if you watch the live, and the official MV, and the dance practice -- that would be amaziing. The choreography videos are usuallay filmed from a single point in the center, so you can actually see all of the structures they are able to create with the seven of them. Their choreo is amazing.

This is a concert in Japan and they are singing the Japanese version of the song. They have a live version at one of the Korean Heritage sites in Seoul as well, they did it for the Jimmy Fallon show and they are wearing modern versions of traditional hanbok.

This song has made the artist setting area move when they performed it on GDA (Golden Disc Awards)2018 but was performed in the middle of 2019. The stage has also started to collapse because of the intense dancing, that the staff under the stage holds it up so they can finish that performance, the group was informed right after and they did a quick change to what songs they were to perform and not do any dancing to. The reason that we know about it is, they have a film team that does back stage filming for their behind the scenes documentary that they often have done for their concerts, they want to show what is happening before they perform and what else they are doing when they are on tour. Can’t remember where I first saw the clips of the stage starting to collapse and the personal reaction to it, its possible that it was a video about the staff to the group. The reaction from the other artists has been shown by fancams when the sitting area started to move. As other have mentioned their awards shows performance are fun and impressive to watch. Some of the larger awards are MMA (Melon Music Awards), have performed as a group 2013-2021 in 2022 J hope had his solo performance, MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards), have performed as a group 2014-2021 in 2014 they did their performance with Block B they also did one on the red carpet stage that year, 2015 did they part of it with GOT7, in 2016 was their first performance as a group and not as an collaboration, and J hope did his solo performance in 2022, GDA (Golden Disc Awards), SMA (Seoul music awards),

This is the Love Yourself, Speak Yourself in Osaka concert, in the summer of 2019. Idol is performed at the end of a long Medley, a collection of high octane songs with some choreo but mostly crowd work. Which, in the way they do it, is very exhausting on its own. I am always so amazed that they are able to pull fn IDOL out of them after having gone so hard for the full medley!

It’s funny bc Idol actually took me some time to like too, but after seeing it live, and after paying attention to the lyrics, learning about the background of the lyrics, watching the explanation video by DKDKTV… it just completely changed for me. Their concerts go for 3 to 3.5 hours. They do have sections where they come out and talk to us to have small breaks 5 to 10 Min between sets. They also have solo performances so the others rest a little during this time.. but it is very intense for them and they have often used oxygen when getting off stage completely drained.

Oh btw! This is in japan and they’re actually singing Idol japanese version 😊 BTS actually performed 24 songs in their LoveYourself tour concert! No other artist just BTS. It was the best concert I’ve ever been to! It was like no other. The performances! The vocals the dance! the army bomb light shows, the fans energy and chants, the fireworks shows, the drone shows. Armys are so nice too with giving free gifts and the overall atmosphere are so good! I miss them a lot

This is nothing compared to some of their more formal choreos. Their stage performances are OUT OF THIS WORLD! I was in Busan for their historic last appearance before military enlistment, the Yet to Come concert, which was FREEEEE, by lottery draw. Can you imagine?! They let it all out. So much energy… 200%! Anyway, the online fight for concert tickets is all out war. Usually 50,000 gone within a couple of hours… with thousands waiting in line. BEVY, you need to go and experience their PRESENCE when they come back!

That is DNA in your thumbnail pic not idol 😂 Idol is actually like the 4th or 5th song of a medley they just performed in this concert, which is why they weren't dancing at the beginning of the song (trying to save the energy after 4 or 5 straight songs to go all out for the ending of idol). In all of their concerts they usually have dark clothes; really different clothes for solo songs; colorful/pastel clothes; and then casual jeans and tshirts for the last few songs. (Sometimes they have even more clothes changes)

Their concerts are about 25 songs plus if I remember rightly. They don’t have any support acts so it’s all them. JK is their centre although each of them gets their turn in the front. They really let rip on IDOL. They seem to love the choreo though how Yoongi managed to get through the large arm movements with his injured shoulder I’ll never know. You need to see the mv for it. It’s a psychedelic joy. The whole thing is a clap back at the haters.

You won't appreciate this song if you don't know the context, this is them trying to reclaim their identity & not being ashamed of it. Because they've been mocked & been gaslit constantly throughout their career that they're not real artists but are mere puppets & have little girls as their source of income to the point they got ashamed of themselves but seeing & recognizing army, these little girls who are basically strangers to them are willing to fight & face scrutiny for liking them are so brave so eventually ARMYs earned BTS respect & swore from then on that they're proud of ARMYs & proud of who they are. Hence the lines "they call me idol, they call me artist, no matter what you call me, I don't care" " I'm proud of it, no more irony, for I've always been myself" " I know who I am, I know what I want, I'm never gonna change" " You can't stop me loving myself" This is such a nice song with great message be proud of yourself, be unapologetically yourself. This is why, this is the title track for the last trilogy of Love Yourself album called Answer. & Lastly the bars here & the MV's are mostly sarcastic to the haters. So this is like for the haters song. They used the criticism & used it as a marketing tool to annoy the haters lol. I suggest you to watch DKDKTV EXPLANATION VIDEO of this song along with others BTS songs explained in that channel because it's coming from the perspective of Korean who knows their culture & nuances BTS use in their lyrics.

If you want to see the full dances, the dance practices is where its at. Live the camera cuts too much to see all the dance. For Idol? MAMA Awards 2018. That idol performance is amazing for the intro itself. I would say watch 2016, 2017 and 2018 Mama Awards and 2019 MMA Awards
