The audience gave them a long standing ovation. I believe they knew they should have won. My opinion. Every time they've been nominated they should have won. But remember this. This award show is an American award show. A long established American Institution! All award shows are "Political" meaning there is a system to get to a win. They never have to prove to Army they should have won. We don't care if they ever win. We know The Truth!

I feel bad for Jhope and Suga you can see how down suga was in their post celebration for not winning. Even the team could see but the way v said “I feel like if I poke you, you’ll start crying” 😂😭 and the way he kept sarcastically saying “we had a great time”. Because the Grammy really did bait them for views but still grateful they attended for this performance.

JK went ahead to the US first, and then the others followed except for Hobi.. JK got C19 after he arrived.. so yeah, everyone was worried if him and Hobi can join right on time, plus the choreography... but JK was still practicing in his room as well as Hobi... Hobi actually had a mini vlog of him preparing his luggage and pranking everyone that he's going to the airport cause it was April fools.. it made the media panic for a minute lol

I cried when first time they didn't win Grammy ,but second time i realise BTS is more than Grammy. They are already on the top bc of their hardwork and authentic music. They are always winner for us. At the end they were like "you looks the most hang up to it" "if i poke you i feel you'll cry" because they lost the Grammys so they were sad but being like "yeah well, it happened, we have our concert and our performance was great" but obviously they were expecting it!! both J-Hope and JK put out videos of them going stir crazy during their quarantines and they were practicing the dance for this performance while stuck at home hoping they got cleared with enough time to fly to Las Vegas for this performance. It was touch and go until they actually boarded the plane.

I can just imagine how crazy Jhope would be going. He is the dance leader, a perfectionist, likes to be in control of things, and he couldn't even practice with them until the very last😢. I bet he tried to do everything over call and probably ended up pestering the members😂😂😂

Jhope caught covid first during the first week but in sk there's a 10 day quarantine period. He's also not allowed to travel after getting covid. There's a certain period of time b4 he can be allowed to travel outside the country. He was already recovered when he joined the group

I actually didn't notice Jhope's trip until I saw other angles from fancams. And in those, you can hear the crowd gasp when he did. I felt so bad for him coz we know how much he works hard to perfect their performances as someone who monitors their formations. And it happened to such a huge event as well. But he was amazing for managing to perform well despite the hurdles.

Both tae and hobi had covid in Korea so they were missing. JK had it after he landed in the US. It was incredible how they got this performance down like nothing happened. Cause I would've been so stressed out

No. Tae had covid but that was months before Jhope had his. Tae was with the rest of the members at the airport going to the US and was not missing. Jhope needed to fly before the Grammys.

well they might not win but they're still the winner. after the grammys they immediately had their sold out 4-day PTD On Stage at the Allegiant Stadium, and what's even crazier is they also had a live play event (paid live viewing for the concert) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, which was where the grammys was held😌👏🏼 not to mention how the entire city turned purple just for them. they had the last laugh, borahaegas was incredible

Jin said on Suchwita that they used to train by dancing and singing while wearing oxygen deprivation masks of the type that athletes wear to increase their lung capacity. So respirator masks are nothing to them. Their lung capacity is massive: if you've seen the spa episode of Run BTS, you'll remember that Taehyung sat in a tub underwater and held his breath for so long - about a minute and a half - that after a minute the others checked to see if he was still alive. Also, keep in mind that since SARS in 2002-2003, people in East Asian countries commonly wear masks any time they're sick, purely as a courtesy to those around them; they also wear them in crowded environments like airplanes and public transit to avoid getting sick themselves. So masks have been commonplace in public in East Asia for 20 years, and people aren't at all bothered by them. It's no different from wearing gloves when it's cold. In Bon Voyage you can see BTS wearing masks on airplanes: every season of Bon Voyage took place before the covid pandemic.

Korea (and other places in Asia) also have chronic air quality issues. Huge dust clouds from China regularly descend on Korea. So it would be “normal” to mask up during these times, to avoid inhaling the dust.

Remember Jimin is a contemporary dancer and he is used to dancing barefoot. Jin consulted doctors and was told he required surgery on the tendons on his left-hand index finger. This happened during daily activities. This is one of my many favorites.

The reason rm and jhope were talking a lot before the performance is because its their norm as leader and dance leader to cheer up the team before any big performance or recording. Jhope definitely is a quiet type of nervous guy when he is by himself without the team. I think namjoon too is quiet when nervous. But those are the two team leaders and they are used to their routine of checking up and advising the team before any performance.

The jacket trick was originally done by Jimin and JK where they performed to a Michael Jackson song. It was around 2017/18? It was for prom.(not the same type of prom Americans have). The 2 did the jacket trick during the performance. There is a behind the scenes that shows them learning it.

You guys dont understand, it was like 1-2 days before the Grammy's when we knew Jhope would actually be there. And we had no idea if Jungkook would until he stepped out the car onto the red carpet. Remember the covid restrictions you had to get local government approval to be in public, to fly. And in this case the Grammy's staff had to clear their attendance. Obviously the other members would know before the public but we were all on pins and needles. There was the required quaranteen times and they were different in South Korea and Las Vegas. Stress city in those days.

Hi CCW, At 29:57 The guys have a set way they line up. V-Suga-Jin Jungkook RM- Jimin- JHope I don't know why they choose this lineup, but they seem to always use it. As far as I know RM does not do anything to set himself apart for being the leader. 💜🙂

So I have theories about this. Foundational it's a kpop thing, the company tells them to stand or site in a certain order for most things. It cuts down on confusion and random milling around if young idols know they have a spot. That I get. Usually leaders and/or eldest members are put towards the middle or the farthest ends. Back in 2nd gen leaders were the eldest. The member assigned the "Center" position, would be in the center. That tended to be the "Visual" as well but not always. So for BTS Jungkook Jin and RM being in the middle mainly follows general kpop conventions. However, I've always theorized that Bighit also wanted to make sure their was a more experience hyung next to each maknae. So Jhope with Jimin and Suga with V. The latter two especially because back in their first year or two Suga used to explain things to V a lot or "decipher" what V was saying if it got confusing. I think bighit low key gave him that "job." And Jin and Joon covered Jungkook. Finally their height back then had the 3 maknaes as the smallest. So visually they order looked uniform with standing in that way. So that's my opinion. Now most of this doesn't matter since they are all experienced, know each other much better and obviously have all changed and grown. But it's something they can easily fall back on.

Namjoon has said they have an OFFICIAL LINE UP and that's their official line up with Jungkook being in the CENTRE as the center of BTS whether in press conferences, photoshoots, red carpets etc. Go back and watch the early Run BTS from Ep 1,they used to stand in their official line up till the much later episodes when they became flexible with how they line but still for OFFICIAL Duties,they stand in their official positions. Jungkook is also part of the Visual line so he stands in the CENTRE as a Visual and face of the group too ( Jin ,V and Jungkook are the Visual of BTS with Jin being the Main Visual)

Surprisingly, there is no big reason for their hair color. They just decide on the color they want according to the concept. And the order they officially stand in is called "ID order,"-V, SG, Jin, JK, RM, JM, JH- and the exact reason is unknown, but it has been in the same order since their debut, and it is known that they have decided in a stable order based on their height and atmosphere balance. However, depending on the costume or stage concept of the day, the order of the person changes. (There are times when costumes of the same color do not stand in a row, or a member who fits the purpose of the event stands in the middle.)

Only 5 were together on the airport because Hobi had covid in korea (he wasn't in the last rehearsal in Korea if you notice) and JK flied early to film the MV to Left and Right (?) i believe it was!!! So only 5 flew together, and Jungkook had covid already in LA!! Edit: i searched and it was said that JK actually flew in before for some preparations to the Grammys, maybe to practice since he would be up there in the beginning?? Idk, but he filmed the MV to left and right before they went to the White House!!

When you think about it all of them were hurt or sick at one point. First Rm and suga tested positive for covid , then jimin tested positive and had appendicitis surgery then V tested positive , Jin injured his hand and then jhope and Jk tested positive. I cant even imagine how they pulled off this performance with the minimum amount of practice they got, but they did it. I was so proud and happy when I watched this real time, after all the weverse updates about them getting sick(that was a whole rollercoaster of emotions). This performance was and still is legendary!

no lol they can dye their hair whatever color they like lol RM only have different hair color not because he is leader lol there is no “rule” he just happened to have a different hair color lol Also leader etc, does not mean he have the most parts in songs to being leader is just making big decisions like finalizing big decisions and RM talked about it actually being leader there really isn’t anything beneficial if there is conflict in team, he will help solve it and he put everyone’s opinion and perspective together since they all have to agree on something as a team and then tell the company what all their perspective and opinion is but regardless, RM and all of BTS are proud RM is the leader they all decided he is the best one as leader for leader skills or being calm in chaotic situations etc most logical in situations etc and the only one that speak english in western media interview etc and fluent in japanese too etc

When they were preparing for the Grammys, five members had already caught Covid by then, except J-hope and JK. J-hope then caught it a couple of days before they were supposed to leave for the US, so he had to stay behind to quarantine. JK flew to the US shortly afterwards, and was tested positive after he landed. The other five flew to the US the next day. Fortunately J-hope and JK tested negative in time. J-hope had time to fly in and do the rehearsal. JK was already there.

A lot of times not just BTS but K-pop idols/groups in general have periods of times where they keep their natural hearing color or dark color for some time. It’s usually because they are constantly dying it so they have to give their hair a break from the damage all that dying does. And since for certain comebacks or eras or albums members are given certain hair colors for that era. And some times the idols themselves dye their hair with or without company permission when they get bored but then have to change it if they are having a comeback/promotions etc…. So the reasons for hair colors varies. :)

At the end, they meet after the Grammy winner announcement. That made the mood a bit sad. but they want to motivate each other not to get hung up on the results. They just put it in the perspective that they have a concert and they just passed by the Grammys to have a quick performance. They dont want to focus on the grammys anymore since it only makes them frustrated and they feel like being used again for the views.
