My one complaint is the lyrics attached to this music video during Suga's rap are not what he actually sings. Suga sings "Smooth like (pause in singing) hate us " in every performance of Butter. And in this mv you can see his smile as he says "hate us" because he is knowingly omitting "love us" to make a point. I think he is enjoying a smirking flex about rising up from a past riddled with countless haters. If you don't think so, examine RM's following line "Got ARMY right behind us when we say so. Let's go!" as BTS members using their bodies form the word ARMY behind RM. BTS overcame the haters who ran their mouths to great extent because of ARMY. The key clap back is "let me show you because talk is cheap". You hate while we succeed. To me this subtle but not so subtle messaging was not picked up by the translator who blindly just transcribed the libretto. BTS tracks almost always have messaging.

Butter was played on American Top 40 radio stations, and was #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 10 weeks in 2021. Like you said I have heard this and Dynamite on the local radio and in the Target, Walmart, and the grocery store. You know a song is popular when it is playing in the Walmart and Nana's start singing it. 😀 Also the "Cake" song you heard is titled Cake by the Ocean by DNCE and one of the Jonas Brothers is a member. DNCE was an American dance-rock band consisting of lead singer Joe Jonas, drummer Jack Lawless, and guitarist JinJoo Lee. Bassist and keyboardist Cole Whittle. Dude the song you're talking about is actually by Joe Jonas' side project DNCE & is called Cake By The Ocean. And The Jonas Brothers just collabed w/BTS' lil brothers TXT on a song called Do It Like That. Also Butter Hotter Remix mv is a must but you have to pay attention to all the members cuz its pure Bangtan Choas.

You have done pretty light hearted BTS tracks but there are some great songs with an R&B vibe. Try HOME, PARADISE and LOVE MAZE. I love RM's early mixtape as it is heave hip hop. Try MONSTER and GOD RAP. You will need lyric videos for all these are there are no videos. Don't take the lyrics as 100% accurate but you will get the idea of what they are saying and you will hear the album versions of the track. I am looking forward to it!💜
