These are things that are common in the Kpop industry and why some people like Kpop-idol groups: - Catchy music - Fashion style - Attention to facial expressions - Music videos with high production quality - Cool choreography and dance moves - Frequent interactions with fans via multiple platforms These are the reasons why BTS stands out between many Western and Oriental groups: - Members are very involved in their music, they're part of the music production process - BTS rappers are extremely experienced and skilled rappers who write their own raps (not the case with all Kpop idol rappers) - BTS music has amazing lyricism that talks about a wide variety of topics (different types of love, mental health, socio-politics, loneliness, identity, following your dreams, references to psychology/philosophy/literature/culture, etc) - They stand out as performers, just high energy, high endurance, very passionate on live stages... They are human and they do make mistakes, but their overall consistency is impressive - Group chemistry is genuine, they're real close friends (this chemistry is translates to the stage and live performances too) - Ability to control massive audiences in live concerts and make the crowd feel included - Their entertainment content is engaging, they're low key comedians - They come across as good people - Maintain their humility no matter how famous they have become - Grateful, always give credits to everyone involved - They have some of the best work ethic I've ever seen (that's sayings a lot) - Members have been consistently trying new things and improving their vocals/performance over the years... They don't settle, they don't slack off, they don't stop taking risks - Socially conscious, they do charity and social activism (UNICEF ambassadors too)... - They practice what they preach BTS has many fans because they're outstanding artists and performers, but also because the type of content they make easily makes people get emotionally attached to their messages and to their personalities. The lyrics are most important. Anyways, since you prefer female vocals, I will make some recommendations of Korean female vocalists you may wanna check out: - IU (singer, songwriter, actress/great lyricist, sweet voice, her songs are usually either comforting, adorable or sassy) - AKMU (duo, the big brother is the songwriter/composer/maybe a genius?, the little sister is the main vocalist, an angelic voice... Many of their songs have a fun/mischievous vibe, very original style, more of a jazzy influenced too... They have emotional songs too) - Powerhouses: Ailee (Korean-american), Sohyang (gospel singer), Jamie (very versitile singer, fluent in English, used to be a TV host) - Other decent vocalists: Sunmi (she's gorgeous), Heize, Suran, Punch, Lee Hi (more raspy voice) - Girl group: Mamamoo (more mature grown women appeal, amazing performers and vocalists); Twice (it's not my type of music, but they're very popular and I see why)

BTS is a step above any Kpop group, they are no longer considered a Kpop group. If you let us know what types of music you DO like, then Armies can point you towards what you do like. Remember , not ALL BTS songs are for everyone, but there IS a BTS song for everyone.

BTS performed Butter for the first time last night on the Billboard Music Awards and in my opinion they stole the show. They also won all 4 categories they were nominated in. BTS is indeed the biggest music group in the world right now. Also Butter broke Dynamite's record for the most viewed video on youtube in 24 hours with 108.2 million views.

Boy with luv is the bts song youre thinking of (with halsey) and they also have an earlier song boy in luv. Boy in love refers to like a teen crush, on the outside while boy with love is a love on the inside, a more mature love as you get older. They hit 177 million views in 2 days. This song will probably be the fastest to a billion views in yt history. Fake love is correct. Bts has their own universe with their own mythology, I never got into that but this is my OG group. My first kpop experience. I think it's the same with a lot of people. They just bring different things with each comeback and make it their own. You should check out their blood sweat and tears live performance, best live I've ever seen. The song is based on a german writer herman Hesse's book demian. Id like to see you do a few reactions to them; dope mic drop dna blood sweat and tears. Same with blackpink. Even if you've seen it do you think your perspective might have changed after your time in kpop? Btw this is a bop, I've heard it many times in 2 days. Great reaction.

Kpop is not a genre, it is an industry. Butter is Korean slang for being too American. BTS has been for the longest time been heavily criticized at home for being too Westernized. This song is probably a response to that criticism, BTS telling the detractors that they will just keep doing what they like. They will keep rolling. Eating the butter is symbolic.

Live performances are what got me hooked on BTS. There are massive amount of content of this group but this group stands out for their positivity and deep meaningful messages in their lyrics. Dynamite and Butter is very western in style. If you like Mamamoo and their personality, then check out Carpool Karaoke with BTS. Couple of their MVs that I recommend are Mic Drop, Black Swan, On, and Dionysus. Again, they have oodles and oodles of content to choose from. Enjoyed your reaction. 😊

I love the beat of the beat of this as it gives me queen vibes. It's so so cute and such a beautiful song and it's also got that sexy vibe to it aswell. I couldn't stop smiling at it as the song is so catchy and I now have the chorus stuck in my head. The vocals are amazing and the raps omg I love then so much. And omg the styles are amazing they look amazing in what wver they wear. The MV itself is amazing as ever and the choreo is on point like always. I literally have no words how I'm feeling right now but all I know is this entire MV and song is making me smile and feel so happy. Admittedly BTS started as a Kpop group but has transcended the label. They are a genre on their own - unlike black pink, BTS has more complicated choreographies and intricate and interesting stages. The biggest difference is that the members all are involved in their songs - writing, producing and singing about topics of social value. BTS seeks to uplift and to give hope and comfort to their listeners. To cleanse your Kpop palate, check out mtv unplugged and tiny desk concert. If you’re inclined check out their performances at the 2019 and 2020 MAMA awards (not to be confused with MMA awards)! Their discography is extensive and diverse.

BTS is Kpop. Don’t know why some of y’all always need to belittle other groups. Yes, BTS has a lot of freedom in their artistry, but they were certainly not the first once to have that. There were artists that produced and wrote songs long before BTS came into the picture. Don’t get me wrong I am ARMY. Just want to know what’s so wrong being with a Kpop group in your mind? Blackpink have like kinda the same songs every time. Upbeat beat, similar beats. Also the lyrics. BTS is not just a colorful(bright?) or how people call idk group. Like I appreciate that you were trying to keep it copacetic for your viewer but BTS has spent 7 weeks at #1 on the Billboard charts, won 9 Billboard Music Awards, and was nominated for a Grammy. Like there's just no one anywhere near them when it comes to impact or popularity. Their competition is Taylor Swift and Drake...not BP. Like BP is great doing what they're doing, no shade. There is also reactors who just hop in and just them be honest - like I'm sure you really are (this is my second video seeing from you guys) - that they have heard something like in radio when they realize it, or they give warnings in the beginning and through the video that they have heard/seen it before, but like - you said here - never before focused on it like in reaction... I understand, but you say this like we ever have a day that we only post kpop... we do two videos a day for this reason. Im not saying you should comment everyday or anything like that... i just think that we are both focusing on what we dont like. We do a kpop type video everyday and then another video that is in the realm of rock/metal that sounds different everyday. I think the main thing is you want to listen to mainly music from Germany, which is fine. I completely understand that, but we wont ever only do German music, it will always be a part of our channel, and you helped that a lot! So i appreciate that, regardless of future comments. All in all, i appreciate the conversations that we have had, and i understand we are on different paths. They are not your average boy band group, they are known for crossing and fusing many different genre's and they are loved across the globe. They have over 90 million plus fans, so they are doing something right, and their fan demographic is not just young girls. I know many ARMY's that range in age from preteen to 70 plus years old, different races, and genders. Also, they have been writing and producing their own music since the beginning (with help from their in-house producers), and two of them were from the underground hip/hop scene in Korea. Thank you for giving them a chance. 💜
