Then BTS stood for Beyond the Scene (to show their growth from boys to adults, opening doors and continuing to move forward). But most just simply call them BTS. They will be back as a group in 2025. That's RM Leader and the main song Writer of the 7 members. He was part of the South Korean underground Hip Hop Scene as a Rapper from the age of 13years old battle rapping against Rappers in their 20's and early 30's with a different stage name. He has an IQ of 148 and speaks Korean, English and Japanese. One of the reason they have full Albums in more than one language. The second Rapper was Suga (aka Agust D) who was also a Rapper/Producer in the underground Hip Hop scene while the first Rapper was J Hope who was Street dancer with the street crew Neuron. He would listen to RM, Suga and their friends Rapping and got decided he wanted to try so got a few pointers from Suga and wasn't long before he was developing his own lyric's and style.

Hello, 58 year old BTS ARMY from California. I've been a serious fan of BTS since 2020 during the pandemic. They are the most interesting, talented, humble, hard working, and fun artists I've ever come across, and I've been here a while. In 2022, BTS went on a "group break", so they could put out their own solo projects before they had to complete their mandatory military service. Their group break consisted of planning a WORLD EXPO BID FREE CONCERT for the city of BUSAN. BTS's agency paid out of pocket for the concert, and BTS put on one of the most amazing performances I've ever seen. They went on Break actually after they released their Anthology album in June 2022, and they had their anniversary FESTA dinner with ARMY's (online livestream), and they announced they would be taking a break to do solo projects, and J-Hope would be the first to do his solo project. We found out later about the military enlistment dates. Then he released his project and performed at Lollapalooza in July 2022. J-Hope was the first one to release his solo project called Jack In the Box. It was his first full album release as a solo artist. He's released a mixtape and songs while in the group, but they were not promoted, and were just released for free on Sound Cloud. He Then headlined Lollapalooza and broke all sorts of records. After their last concert as a group, held in BUSAN in October 2022 (what group break?), JIN announced he was enlisting, and he dropped a solo song The Astronaut before he enlisted on December 13, 2022. He will be discharged on June 12, 2024 (next month). J-Hope enlisted next, but not before doing some collaborations with a Korean Artist named Crush, and his song ON THE STREET (feat. J-COLE). Then he released a documentary J-Hope In The Box, and performed at MAMA awards before enlisting on April 18, 2023. He will be discharged by October 17, 2024. Then there was a festival held for BTS's 10 year anniversary celebration in Seoul, South Korea, and RM performed a few songs at the Festival. BTS released a song - TAKE TWO - for their anniversary and a recorded video peformance was released on their 10th anniversary June 13, 2023. The other 4 members have also released solo albums, RM released INDIGO, a full album, and then JIMIN released FACE, a 6 song EP, and he released a production diary film also. After that SUGA released his D-Day album, his first solo album, but he also has two mixtapes and numerous collaborations with other artists. He then went on a Sold Out World Tour (which I got to attend his Oakland, California concert. It was amazing. Then after his tour, he enlisted on Septemeber 22, 2023, and he will be discharged June 21, 2025. Then V released an EP called Layover, a Jazzy RnB type album, and then Jungkook took over the USA Pop market with his release of Seven (with Latto), and then 3D (with Jack Harlow), and he released his full album GOLDEN with a title track called Standing Next to you. Then he headlined at the Global Citizens Festival, and the TSX stage at Times' Square, and then he went home to do a Showcase for his fans ARMY. After that, RM and V enlisted on December 11, 2023, and JIMIN and Jungkook enlisted on December 12, 2023. All seven BTS members are enlisted right now, but they are all still releasing solo projects while they are gone. So far JIMIN released a song for ARMY called Closer Than This, then V released Wherever U R with UMI, and a solo song Fri(end)s. And J-Hope released a follow up to Jack In The Box album, the JITB HOPE EDITiON with 6 new tracks from his performances at Lollapalooza, then he released a docuseries called HOPE ON THE STREET, with an album EP OST(original sound track) called HOPE ON THE STREET Volume 1, to his docuseries, which is all about his street dance journey. you can find that on AMAZON Prime video. Also, you can find Agust D's Road To D-Day documentary on Disney Plus, along with J-hope's other documentary. THEN, RM just released a song - Come Back To Me - that is a pre-release for his album Right Place, Wrong Person. And it's in the alternative music genre. That one will be released this week on May 24, 2024. I know the other members have more for us. With time we will know, and they will be back in JUNE 2025. So no worries about new music, not to mention you can get caught up with the over 400 songs they have in their discography right now. They spoil us so much, I can't wait until they come back in June 2025, I will be waiting for those tickets to go on sale.

All 7 can write, compose and produce each to a greater or lesser degree. If they are offered a song they themselves make the decision if they'll use it or not. They have creative freedom to do what they want. In fact their company told them to tell their own stories, what they wanted to say in their songs. They also have in house team they can and do use along side what they do themselves. RM has over 200 song credits lodged with the South Korean copyright association under his real name, under RM and under Rap Monster. Suga has about the same number as well and has Produced for other artists from other companies.

Their lyrics are very deep and witty this song is just a flex to the haters. BTS started out as a hip-hop group with 2 of the rappers being underground before joining BTS. RM has a 148 IQ and is a genius lyricist. He was initially inspired to become a rapper at 11yo by listening to Nas. There are often Explained videos (check out DKDKTV videos) for many of their MVs which explain the lyrics. RM often rhymes Korean with English or, for example, uses one Korean word in 7 different ways. For BTS rap line (RM, Suga, and J-Hope), I suggest you start with the Cypher medley live (Enjoy BTS More channel).

I’ve noticed in a few of a your past videos that lyricism is really important to you, which is amazing actually, so I’d have a challenge (it may not get as much attention as the pop songs and most of my next recommendations don’t have MVs but are a great example of BTS’ stance and message in the industry). You should check out Agust D (Suga of BTS)’s Polar Night along with most of his songs which are much of a discourse about today’s society along with one’s inner struggles + BTS’ Cypher pt.1 to 4, Hip Hop Phile, Born Singer (a remake of J Cole’s Born Sinner), Outro:Tear (the fear encountered at the possibility of disbanding), Spine Breaker (a direct touch on uncontrolled consumerism), Paradise (also calling out on consumerism), UGH!, Spring Day (following the tragedy of Sewol ferry and the grief of the victims’ families), Baepsae/Silver Spoon and the list goes on, but I’m gonna stop here for now. Many of these are quite political, but if we talk about lyrics that may be the best route. And it would be essential to read the lyrics on doolsetbangtan instead of genius, because there is much more explained for every song on that page and the translations are accurate. They have continued to release new music while they have been in the military. RM (real name Kim Namjoon) - the one in the Mastermind top - released a song last week and his album comes out later this week. They are not treated any differently from anyone else in the ARMY and they wouldn't want to be. They want to fulfil their duty for their country. They have all been doing exceptionally well. The oldest member of BTS, Jin (Kim Seokjin) finishes his service in June just in time for the BTS Festa week. Each year, BTS celebrate their debut birthday, 13th June, with ARMY. We expect Jin will provide some Festa entertainment, and we think he will also release a solo album. I think you would appreciate a rap-line song, Ugh.

BTS members are indeed doing their mandatory military service. Jin actually gets discharged next month and j-hope in October! The 5 others enlisted at the end of last year and will be discharged mid 2025. Both Jin and j-hope were promoted to Sergeant and we are very proud of all of them! They do release solo music though. Jimin released 'Closer Than This', V released 'FRI(END)S', Hobi released his 'Hope on the Street Vol.1' album and RM released 'Come back to me'. They made history as usual when they performed this on SNL, there were people lined up for blocks waiting for days and apparently you can not hear in the recording how deafening the screams were in the studio. I love this performance Cause of the dance break and camera angles. Even tho there are other live performances that the fanbase likes that have a more elaborate dance break, including the dance practice which you guys will know after you see "Run BTS " dance practice why those are cool to watch, but the SNL performance is the one that shows the choreography and angles the best

Kpop music is an industry that contracts talented young people, trains them hard and competitively, gets them on stage in competitions to win fans. BTS first performed in 2013 when three members were still in middle school/high school, and they had many hardships. There are documentaries detailing those years. You could get insight from those. Dynamite, Butter, and Permission to Dance were cheer- up songs during covid lock down and are simpler and less symbolic than the bulk of their discography, which is huge and in Korean. Rarely can anyone 'wing it' and get their meaning right, or in Mic Drop's case, understand the depth of the hate and struggles they went through. It is music for thinkers and those willing to put in the time. RM, the rapper you liked, had a new solo release recently, pre-planned to drop while he is in the military.

Just binge-watched all your K-pop videos I was also reading all the comments and your replies to them First of all, thank you for your brutal honesty 😅🙈🤌🏻💜 although I appreciate that but I also understand where the fans are coming from. I've been a K-pop stan for almost 9 years now and I've seen the toxicity within the industry and from audiences belonging to different industries when they first start listening to K-pop. I wanna share some general information with you guys cause I feel like it would change a lot of things and you'll learn to approach them differently. K-pop is an industry not a genre. It is very well known for being a mixture/blend of genres. The unpredictability of songs are what makes them true to the industry. But I understand that these approaches are NOT for everyone. K-pop groups often have a concept that they follow since the time they debut till they decide to change it or disband in some cases. So for example, BTS debuted as a HIP-HOP group. If you listen to their earlier stuff you'll realise what I'm talking about, but over the years they started to experiment with their sound because they had creative controll, which was NOT very common in the industry back then. Now you'll see groups who write, compose, produce and even choreograph their own music often. But it's is still a big deal due to the fact that K-pop artist are trained and controlled completely by Companies/Entertainment agencies. So the concept, the music, the style, everything is handled by the companies. Over the years, I've seen many many many hater and racist become true stans because they genuinely liked music and THAT just proved the statement made by RM (his real name is Kim Namjoon) they guy you loved in the second half of the song, he said and i quote: "Music transcends language, colour, racism" Feel free to share your thoughts but please do so in kind of softer words, because remember, even if you have heard better songs, you one that your listening to is someone's hard work that they spent hours or days or months on, something that they are proud to call their craft. Lemme tell you this tho, all these K-pop Idols are genuinely some of the nicest and most humble people I've seen in my entire life and they are super hardworking and dedicated despite the backlash they all recieve. Another reason why the fans are so defensive is because of our trauma. Over the years we've lost some the greatest people to exist in the industry due to them suffering from mental health, and although I abd many others know that you didn't mean to offend anyone, just remember that these people are constantly oppressed and criticized by THEIR OWN people more than anyone else, so I can not imagine how they deal with THAT pressure. And when you're under so much pressure, sometimes even normal words can tip you over the edge due to the way they're put and the tone they were spoken with. I understand that feeling all too well which is the reason why I wanted to explain at least a little bit for you to understand us fans as well as the industry. I hope y'all have an amazing day. Check out thier live performances they are the best. Outro tear live with English subtitles is the rapline and Magic Shop live with eng sub the full group. RM has a new album being released next week 11 tracks. He did it before going in the military so they would have stuff for fans while they are away. @@nancytamez1109 Hello friend, it is NOT "beyond the scenes" in english, the same way it is not "Burn the Stage" or "bring the Soul"... all of those are names they use for their slogans, movies, docus, tour merch... and during a leg of a tour in the US fans thought it was what BTS meant, and they ran with it. In many ocations Namjoon has spoken up about it ans said BTS ONLY stands for Bangtan Senyondan. He did say earlier during that tour, that people would call the behind the scenes..... and then he went on 4 other intervies fixing and correcting that information. Hope this helps ✌💜

Thanks. They go through exactly the same military training as other trainees. No special treatment. But they are doing exceptionally well. They are already very fit, disciplined, and hardworking as artists and idols. Right now in the military they are (in order of age, oldest first): Jin (eldest) is sergeant, was elite trainee graduate (top10) and is an instructor. Discharged next month after 18 months. He is based in DMZ, border. Suga, due to his shoulder injury and operation, he is a social service agent, an alternative military path. He still undergoes basic military training. J Hope also sergeant and trainee instructor. Elite trainee graduate, too. Top 10. RM elite warrior graduate, top 5 and now in military band. Jimin, top trainee, received commendation from divisional commander. Assigned to fire direction centre known as the brain of artillery. Just completed the toughest Korean military training at Korean combat training centre (kctc) and soon to be promoted to Corporal 2 months early. Even the &S marines join kctc training. Based in DKZ border. V also elite warrior graduate, top 5 like RM.. He is training at Special Duty Team (SDT), a military police to counter terrorism. It night interest you to know that BTS members are excelling in their respective military duties, accdg to updates on the boys, 5 finished their training with flying colors and earned awards, getting promoted to corporals, assistant drill instructors, one is with the special forces of the Army capital defense command one is in social services div & the rest are in the DMZ zone at the NK border. the guy you pointed out is one of the rappers called RM, all the bts members are serving in the military right now but they’re been released solo projects to keep the fans occupied until they’re back in 2025. RM just released another album yesterday and i’m interested to see y’all’s reaction to one of his tracks ‘LOST’ (music video). he’s in his experimental bag w this album and keep in mind he wrote the song/album to kinda pour out his frustration after being forced to halt his activities in bts to enlist, he felt kinda lost and didn’t feel like he had support because the other members of bts were also enlisting too. it’s a great track, y’all need to watch it

I stumbled onto your channel tonight. RM, in the mastermind shirt, is dropping a new album on 5/24. His pre-release single, Come Back to Me, was released last Friday. I largely share your opinions on Korean girl groups. The two that I've seen you mention are from the same company and largely use the same writers/producers. If you want to try something different, I would recommend Mamamoo. Two of my favorite songs of theirs are Egotistic and Décalcomanie. Korean music, like Western music, had many different genres. These groups that you've reacted to are what's called Idol music. It's closest to what we would consider pop music. BTS, as I'm sure you've been told by now, is different because they're rooted in hip hop and largely write/produce their own music.

He has written most of BTS' songs. He is a philosopher and poet. He has many OG American rappers influence. His idol is Naz. RM is my bias(favorite), but I love all 7 members. They are all just so brilliant, amazing, talented artists and the kindest human beings I've known. I never thought I could feel this love and connection with an artist until they found me. from what we have been shown it seems like bts are doing pretty well in their military service, they seem to be getting treated well by the others but there have been instances with other famous idols, one instance where ppl was being weird af with them (like trying to take pic of them showering) and others where they were not treated the best but from what we have been shown bts is doing ok. back in the old days there where famous American celebs who served in the army, one example is Elvis, they forced him to go

Yes they are...they are all doing what everyone else is doing....in the cold and in the heat and in the mud, etc. You are not allowed to work/earn money while in the ARMY so instead, BTS worked their butts off before their enlistment to leave us lots and lots of new songs and other content to keep us entertained and hopefully not miss them so much. The rapper you like is RM. He has an alternative album coming out May 24th. Also, I would like to recommend his song and mv called JOKE. The original doesn't have subtitles but ARMY have made ones with subtitles. 9:29 they are treated the same as every other korean soldier, they have posted some pictures of themselves in uniform and with members of their respective infantries, they are all civilians in the eyes of the law and koreans take serving in the military very srs, those who don't serve without proper legal exemption are banished from the country. They are still at war with North Korea, the war never ended, you just don't hear abt it much. Jin has been serving since December 2022 and is finally coming home in less than a month.
