I'm telling you I watch your videos for the opening song alone! LOL I looooovvvveee that song, what is it? But I also love your reactions and the reactions of your crew. I appreciate Cee Cee's critiques and I feel like she has a lot of really valid notes on things, but it seems unfair that she criticized Jimin for dancing as though he was trying to show he can dance when isn't that the way he was trained? He frequently discusses how he has to work really hard because he's not as comfortable with some of the dances they do because that isn't the way he was trained. Is the suggestion that he needs to hold back? I'm genuinely confused, especially when she appeared to criticize Jin for not being up to the same standard as the rest of the group. I feel like we need to remember that these boys are a pop group, entertainers, not classically trained dancers and singers and they have worked really hard to continue to improve and even today they continue to talk about how they want to show their audiences and their fans better sides of themselves and improve in their performances. Just my thoughts on things. I'm not accusing Cee Cee of hating the boys, I'm just responding to what feels to me like unfair counsel. I hope I'm not creating any type of unnecessary drama. 💜💜💜

@@chocopop01 Honestly, after reading the comments I can't be bothered to watch the video or sub to the channel. I prefer to keep my distance from negative people. When you think about it, she is talking crap about BTS members... as a "professional" dancer? I don't care how professional you are, you will never be at their level so it appears to me that putting them down is a way to make yourself feel better.
@chocopop01

@@kookiemonster-mg9gw I can definitely understand how you feel and I try not to watch or read things where I feel like the boys are being criticized just for the sake of criticism. I will say however, that I did feel like she had some valid points. I think my one true issue is that she IS a classically trained dancer and her training is in formal, classical dancing. Whereas we have to remember that BTS presents a different type of showmanship, and they haven't been trained in the same way that a classically trained ballet dancer has and that's ok. That shouldn't discount their talent in any way, because they are incredibly talented. And I tend to get a bit defensive about Jimin because 1) he's my bias and 2) of all the members, he seems to get the most unfair criticism all around and 3) he didn't have the same amount of training the rest of the group had and still he has risen and didn't give up saying it's too hard, but kept working to make sure he was up to the level of the group and he is by far, in my opinion, one of the most talented. But, I mean, they're all amazing talents and the group wouldn't be where they are today if any one of them were missing. They feed off each other and build one another up in a way that makes them all shine by capitalizing on the gifts that each member brings to the table. Which is why I think it's a bit unfair to criticize any one member for doing whatever it is that they do, the way that they do it....if that makes any sense. Thanks for responding to my comment. 🥰💜

to be honest, I respect her opinion but as a fellow dancer myself, when you have a stronger genre your passion is going to shine through and that is the case with Jimin and contemporary. Yes you can vibe with Best of me but you can’t compare it to black swan as it demands a different emotion entirely. He does not overdo it, he is passionate and it shines more in contemporary that’s why your eyes are drawn to him.

I get what you’re saying about Jimin, but as the main dancers, he and J-Hope are meant to stand out. You wouldn’t expect Jungkook to stop ad-libbing and blend in with the other vocalists. The main positions add flavor.

@haanthebanaanthe8266 I agree that Jimin has a special voice, but I'm talking about how they perform, not the quality of their voices. Jungkook does most, if not all, of the ad-libbing. Ad-libs are what I'm calling flavor. My point was that telling Jimin or J-Hope to pull back and blend in with the other dancers is equivalent to telling Jungkook to stop ad-libbing.

What's interesting is I saw a recent interview with Son Sungdeuk, who has been working with the guys since the beginning, first as an inhouse choreographer and dance instructor, and now as the head of performance for all of Hybe. He mentioned that in the early days, the focus was on precision and matching when they danced. As the guys got bigger, he/the performance team decided that precision was less important and to let their individual "charms" (his word/translation not mine) shine through instead. So while I get what she's said about Jimin pulling focus, none of the staff has pulled him back and he has probably been encouraged, so I wouldn't put it all on him. Believe me, they'd tell him if they didn't like what he was doing.

one thing about bts: doesn't matter how hard the choreography is they will always perform with live vocals, they practiced a lot to learn how control their breath while singing and dancing at same time, and they'll do it for like 2/3 hours in their concerts, it's crazy 😂❤

I actually find CeeCee quite funny, I like her sense of humor. But I do think that this KZbin trend of "professional dancer/vocal coach/filmmaker/ whatever profession you can think of reacts to and analyses BTS" has really become quite tiring and, at times, just meaningless. I do appreciate hearing and getting to know a professional's take on something (not just BTS), and in my case I am a singer so I watch vocal coaches for the most part. But in general, I think most people miss a lot of important points. First, you can react to something that you dont know, but you definitely cannot analyse something you don't know well. There is a huge difference. Second, the most important thing that professional reactors miss is that BTS are not only singers, or only dancers, or only producers etc. They do it all! Take Triathlon for example, they compete in swimming, running and cycling. But WHO ON HIS RIGHT MIND WOULD PICK ONE OF THOSE DISCIPLINES AND COMPARE THE TRIATHLON ATHLETE TO AN OLYMPIC SWIMMER, OR RUNNER, OR CYCLIST? It is mind-blowing to me. I've seen reactors nitpicking at them because "that part is not 100% live" or "there is backing vocals" and so on and so forth. And it goes back to point number 1. You cant analyse something or someone that you dont know. Knowing their names and knowing Dynamite doesn't mean you know them. Period. How can you "analyse" Fake Love live, and complain that in the chorus the "I'm so sick of this fake love" part is not live. Duh? OF COURSE IT IS NOT LIVE. How on earth can somebody perform those dance moves, contort their body like that, pop and lock like that, and sing those insanely high notes at the same time? Its just impossible. To sing those insanely high notes you need your diaphragm to stay still and cooperate fully. Professional reactors tend to only focus on one particular skill, erasing all the other things that make up a Kpop performance, which are equally important. BTS are not a dance crew, but they are so good at everything that reactors forget about it 🙃

exactly, jin isn't 'bad' he's just not the best dancer and tbh NO dancer in bts is going to be as good as the ones who have the natural talent and passion for it (like hobi and jimin) jin isn't ~trying~ to be an dancer, he's doing the best he can to contribute to the groups performance and shines better in other areas bts is more than just their dancing and choreo (even though they are the best in the game) in fact, jin WON a talent comp in the military FOR DANCING he's better than the majority of people on this earth even if it isn't his strongest suit and that's extremely impressive how well he can do despite that jin shows me nothing can be impossible
@taeshain2026
@taeshain2026 Жыл бұрын
@@nightfrost1891 exactly. I have absolutely zero talent for dancing, and I wouldn't be able to put together not even two moves of their choreos (even the simplest ones I swear). But look at Jin (and Namjoon and Yoongi as well, I don't know why people always mention Jin only), he pulls off very complicated dance routines at the best of his ability. Again, most people wouldn't be able to, not even close. And apart from this, the beauty, and strength, of BTS is that every single member shines on his own and puts something unique on the table. Yoongi is an amazing producer and rapper, Namjoon is a very good producer and lyricist (apart from rapper of course), Jin is good with melodies and has one of the best voices I have ever heard, Hobi is essential because, on top of his dancing, in my opinion he functions as the ultimate link between the rap line and the vocal line, he is 100% essential when it comes to blending the group together and give songs the "right" flow and structure. Jimin is an amazing dancer and has a unique tone, which you can hardly find somewhere else. Tae has that "old soul" vibe in his voice, he sometimes sounds as if he has lived 29 lives, and he brings his very unique personality on stage but also on recordings. And Jungkook is just a singing machine, everyone definitely has studied and practised a lot to get where they are vocally, but when I hear Jungkook to me it's clear that he must have put SO MUCH effort in order to sound like that. He has practised so much that he came to a point where he exactly knows every little part of his range, his tone, his technique, it's just incredible. And he's also a great composer and lyricist. You put all this talent together and you get BTS. That's the beauty of it all.

For an instance we all know jk is a expectional vocalist in the group and his high notes are no joke and you can't ask him to tone it down just because he is oevrpowering others in vocals. I completely understand what your saying but, yall also have to remember that it’s not just jimin in the group. It would be ok for jimin to go all out in his solos or something but as a group the overall or majority of the vibe and how they move have to be similar. It looks a little tacky and is kinda frustrating to see one member on 100 while the majority is on 80. And thats not jimins fault for the other members not being at 100, but it is his fault for not adapting to the team for the team
@catherinejennifer776

@@daycianaselby7146 i understand it's your personal opinion ... What i want to say is that there's a dance line (jimin , jungkook and jhope) and if you see each of their speciality you can see they are totally different. Jungkook has strength, balance, lots of stamina. His dance is powerful. And jungkook does his best whatever he is asked to perform. Jhope has very sharp and controlled, and his physicality becomes very dominant when he dances. he is more of a free style person. Jimin is the most versatile and flexible member of dance line .he combines techniques and his movements tells a story. He's graceful and powerful at the same time, and his facial expressions are a big part of what makes him so mesmerizing on stage - and what makes him a natural dancer. He's aware of his body at all time. No matter when you pause the video during a performance, he will be caught showing amazing body lines. Even when he does hiphop styles, you see him move more fluidly than the rest. This is his classic training. Every member is different and if you look at them seperately each member is giving their best . Their 100 percentage and you think jimin is overpowering because you know that he is giving his best and perfect version. I can assure you that other members too want jimin to do his best and they never would have thought jimin is overpowering him. Instead they are really proud of him. Even RM stated that jimin is the axis of that stage that controls the attention.
@catherinejennifer776
@catherinejennifer776 11 ай бұрын
@@daycianaselby7146 And also if as a dancer if he is not satisfied with his dance and gives only 80 percentage just to cope up with other members,do you think that will make BTS happy? He is main dancer and if he shouldn't give his best then what's the difference between being main dancer and other dancers in group? If he doesn't give his best the same people will come behind him and mock him for not giving his best despite his role in BTS. And also if you all want him to slow down to showcase his talent in dance then Its only fair for netizens to ask jungkook to slowdown in doing high notes, taehyung to sing more high notes to equal with vocal members, jin to sing more lines , Suga to rap slowly and not spit fire, jhope (leader of dance) to dance "equal" to jimin whom you are considering overpowering and whom I left? RM .. yeah ask him to sing and rap more English songs since he is perfect in English. Everyone has lows and ups and if you are pinpointing someone's ups and comparing it to the others then you should know that BTS will not be BTS anymore.

There are songs where some members will shine more than the others. That is a fact. It is difficult and nearly impossible for a group of 7 individuals to make a song let alone several songs where they will all shine equally. That's why we have some members being more of a focal point in one song and then, being less of a focal point in another song. On to Cece. I think she gave a pretty fair assessment. At the end of the day, that's her opinion. I can see why some people are getting triggered. For example, when it comes to weight, I've seen comments where people are stating that Asian physiques are different from Westerners. That's a valid point. There are differences that we must take into account. In relation to Jimin matching the energy of the other members, I think he does attempt to do that but may unconsciously perform the choreo according to his interpretation of it. We should also remember that, when it comes to live performances, every member brings the energy. They all match each other pretty well. I saw different dancers praise BTS for being individualistic. They may be doing the same thing but their interpretation and performances are different. Consider V, he is very suave and has captivating facial expressions whenever he is performing. Personally, I love that. I don't think it would be a V performance if he tried to perform like JK. I think it would be taxing (for lack of a better word) to ask Jimin to dance in a way that isn't Jimin-like. Another thing to add is, it wouldn't be BTS if they all mechanically executed the choreos. Of course my precious Jin isn't merely a visual. It's more of a recognition of his harmonic features in BTS specifically. I don't know about visuals in other groups. In BTS, though, they give a good amount of screen time to every member irrespective of their visuals. Personally, I think they're all gorgeous. At the end of the day, if you want to pick a bias, pick whoever you want. You can criticise others but it should never be for something they cannot change. Suga won't wake up with RM's physique, for example. I think the aspect of weight affected me personally because as an African woman, the people around me expect me to be thick or voluptuous but my body is very much like female Kpop idols. Naturally. I don't starve myself and my diet is balanced. I've been pressured to look a certain way, though, and it's affected my mental health. That's just something I wanted to add.

talking about weight, body shape and physical appearance is always complicated, cause it is a sensitive topic with the way society forces you to conform to standards that are impossible to achieve so that you buy more beauty products, gym subscriptions, clothes, aesthetic treatments, plastic surgery interventions and still never feel satisfied with the way you look and overfocus on appearance cause it's easily marketable. If you do closely fit the standards you have a high chance people will feel entitled to sexualize you, if you don't you have a very high chance people will feel free to mock you and comment on "what you have to improve", and guess what! You'll still have people sexualizing you or mocking you, doesn't matter what you look like. I'm sorry to hear the expectations of the people around you have taken a toll on your mental health. As a mixed (African-Caucasian) girl, growing up in a predominantly white Mediterranean country, I always felt like the odd one out for the way my hair and body looked. The products and clothes I bought never fitted my necessities, and the people around me mocked my appearance or sexualized my curves as if it didn't matter at all how I would feel receiving this kind of degrading treatment. I used to get catcalled and inappropriately touched and groped on the streets since I was 13, then turn around the corner and be ridiculed for the same things people "praised" me two blocks earlier! I hope you are doing better and have found peace within yourself! It might sound cheesy but I truly believe that being a beautiful person isn't only a matter of physical appearance, cause at the end of the day we all have different tastes and even change 'em growing up, so have fun experimenting with what you want to look like, and there's nothing more charming than somebody that lives with passion.

I’ve been a subscriber for a long time and I don’t understand why you would ask someone who expresses their dislike/issue with a dancer before they even see a performance continue on with reviewing THAT performance involving THAT dancer. Why would I care? To what end? She expressed a strong bias - I don’t know her so what’s her opinion worth ? Very little. Your channel is known for bringing artists with special talents and experiences to see/hear performers and receive insights not typically found. Why would listening to someone who is unable to be professional be helpful? Of value? Only good thing is that she confessed up front. You should have stopped immediately and asked her to review a performance by another group that she doesn’t know. I’m disappointed. Let her shine and express her unique take about others where she doesn’t have an animus. I can respect her but she needs to rein herself in. She expects respect but doesn’t give it. And it’s unfair - she’s unfair - because no one asks JK to tone his singing down or for Suga to not rap as emphatically. I bet - given her strong opinions and authoritative way of speaking - that she’s never toned herself down.

Appreciate that she shed some more clarity on what she meant and while i see her pov with certain things i think the Jimin comment is a little unfair. BTS isn't a dance crew. They're a band showing their individual colors. In fact, Jimin does try very hard to *tone* down his dancing in dance practices to match the other boys. If you watch concert videos where he's high off the energy and actually just feeling himself on those songs you'll see what i mean. I think this is just one of those things where his skill level and musicality is just so high that he can't help the perfectionist side of himself from shining through so he still stands out anyway

I *get* what she’s saying, and I did watch the whole video, but sometimes the way she says it is what seems to be rubbing people the wrong way. Comments like “Jimin’s not annoying me in this video”, for example, like- I understand what she’s trying to say from a constructive standpoint “Jimin has moments where he dances too hard and therefore it looks off based on the skill level of the other members” and she does say that at some point, I just think that starting off that very constructive point with “he’s not annoying me like usual” is ehhhh… idk. *However* I know from having a naturally sarcastic tone myself, that “how you say it” can sometimes be easier said than done to change.

He's okay at best (which is totally fine). He deserves praise for sticking to it and improving, but let's not be silly. He has been dancing for 10+ years now. That's a LONG time. He's just too stiff and lacks the motor skills to really dance smoothly. I don't see the issue with the criticism. He definitely sticks out negatively in dance routines and they are here to give their opinion on those dance routines and skills . I don't get what the issue is? He doesn't need to be a good dancer. He is obviously a hard worker, because learning a choreography (especially as challenging as most of BTS choreos) takes a lot of work and discipline. I was just taking affront to the original comment not understanding why Jin gets criticized, when THE WHOLE POINT OF THIS CHANNEL is about dancers evaluating the dancing abilities and choreos of a group and individual. I respect all those guys a lot, because it takes a lot of hard work and time to reach the levels that they do. But the criticism towards Jin's dancing ability is fair. Fans don't need to jump in every time and defend them for something that is valid. Criticism applies to BTS (or their members) just as much as to anyone else. It's my first time watching her reacting to bts so I can be wrong, but I think she didn't get really what a visual is. Okay, for companies and to get attention of the general public, they need someone that looks good. A lot of people get to know bts and other groups bc they found them cute, and then deep dived in their talents. But the exactly same thing happens in the west. They just don't give it a name. Also, being the visual is not the main role of him ou any visual. If the entered the group as a vocalist it's bc he showed more improvement than the other treinees AND could bring more attention to the group visually. Each of them has a really important role in the team. I love honest reactors, but I do think in some moments she was a bit dispectful, but not because she was being honest. The problem is that she thinks she knows them well enough for watching some performances, bon voyage, run eps, but no. I don't blame her bc I was just like that before entering the fandom. Everyday I find a different reason to be even more fan of then. They may not have every member a professional dancer, but that's really not a problem. In the end of the day, they are one of the best performers in kpop, if not the best. @X5J2UY Жыл бұрын
He really couldn't. Like most Idols couldn't. At least not against the typical guy/gal that has some good sense of rhythm. People don't realize that most of those idols ONLY learn choreographies and get some basic dance training for a few years to keep certain forms clean and not stumble over their feet. If you ever watch Idols having to spontaneously dance to music without any preparation, they suddenly move in very stiff motions and don't really know what to do. Being an above average dancer would mean that he could move to music in a natural manner. Learning a choreography for weeks and months can be achieved by most people. It's basically like memorizing a handful of pages of text - more about perseverance and having basic motor skills. Some would look much better than others. Jin is great in many things, but dancing isn't one of them. His stiffness and inconsistent rhythmical understanding will always hinder him of becoming a "good" dancer. And that's totally fine. He started learning dancing in his early 20s and doesn't seem to be very athletic or have great motor skills, so his body couldn't really be taught and molded anymore. If he had started in his late teens, that would've been a different story. It's very noticeable when you compare Jim and RM. Both started with about the same level of dancing skills and motor skills. But RM started much earlier than Jin. And that has paid off more in the past years, where it seems obvious than Jin had reached his limit, while RM still got better. Because he lost the body stiffness over time, which Jin never really could. V is an even more extreme example. He started out as a very average dancer, but was also very young. And then suddenly got exponentially better in his early 20s, because all that experience and the dance lessons helped him improve how to control his body.

We’ve seen him pushed backwards but still maintaining his balance whilst most of us could not. So it genuinely confuses me why he isn’t a great dancer. @@ag1445 Because athleticism can be many things. Running fast, jumping high or being naturally strong are more stereotypical signs of athletic ability. But hand-eye coordination or sensing your body are innate abilities that certain humans have, while others don't. You can learn techniques to improve those things without being athletic, but someone born with that natural talent will always have an advantage if he hones those talents. A good example for that (which is not athletic) would be perfect pitch. Very few are born with. And theoretically, everybody can learn something very close to that by just playing music for a long time and learning to recognize different tones. It would still not be quite as good as a naturally gifted person. BTW being flexible is not a sign of athleticism to me. That's a learned skill. You can actively train your body to become more flexible. Something like Taekwondo could also be learned without necessarily having great athleticism. Learning proper technique is actually more important than natural ability. JK is a much better example of overall athleticism to me. He is naturally gifted. That's why he excels at physical tasks. It's very obvious when you the boys playing a sport together. JK, Jimin and V are naturally athletic, have good hand-eye coordination and an excellent understanding of their own body. RM and Yoongi are probably the least athletic members. Yoongi is pretty good at basketball, but that's thanks to him playing a lot and learning through experience and training. JHope and Jin are somewhere in between, but are weirdly uncoordinated in most things. Especially JHope is surprising in that regard, because of his incredible dancing skills. Just seems to not translate to other sports that demand body control. Jin's issue with dancing is that he learned it to late. He lacks control with his upper body. His footwork is mostly fine, but his upper body isn't able to keep up. Dancing is a very technical, but also demands a lot of control of all your body parts. Isolation, extensions, explosiveness are things that need training and natural ability. I think that RM and V are very interesting examples. V made a lot of progress after 2-3 years of dancing in the group. Probably a result of lots of training and his natural athleticism. I feel like RM actually made a lot of progress these past 2-3 years. He had a similar issue as Jin with his upper body for 6-7 years, but seemed to have figured something out these last few years. Not sure what happened though

@@X5J2UY According to online dictionary athleticism is defined as “the physical qualities that are characteristic of athletes, such as strength, fitness, and agility”. Jin fits that description. There’s no question that those with innate ability will always excel but as you say, so many things can be trained. The only thing I see is that there’s a lack of strength in his movements and posture and, of course, timing. He doesn’t have innate musicality so timing is difficult for him. He does very well to keep up but then he’s had 10 years training. He started learning at 19 and even though that’s late it’s not too late. Given his athleticism I thought his progress would be like Suga’s but it’s not.

If a singer in a group is too loud when trying to harmonise would you not commend them for blending in? Some of you get so lost in being defensive over people that will never know who you are that you lose all sense of logic and it scares me.

Please look into the songs properly! Best of me was wayyyy before 2019. Just this dance practice was released for BTS anniversary. It was definitely sung with live vocals too many times. I love the muster version so much! Has she seen more recent stuff of Jin? He is so good in it. Especially his super tuna song, that is iconic. I hope she also gives the challenge a go for that one! 😁 Also if we are using idol terms V is also a visual not just Jin, but we don't really use that title anymore, he is WWH! Also complimenting Jimin when it was JK's iconic moment dance moment in that song, it made me giggle a little. You can tell she Bias Jimin as she was only watching him though the three songs. Please pause to talk and then play (and rewind) to not miss stuff please. And DAMNNNN J-hope in Idol DP is amazing! I always love watching him though it. Thank you! Borahae!!! 💜

Actually i am an Army since many many years and i do appreciate Ceecee the most on this Chanel. I also think that Jin vocal ability isn’t showcase in most BTS song. They make him sing in a tone that don’t suit him. Probably because that’s the direction where they want to go with the song. At the end, their song are great and that what’s matter. You should try to react to his solos or their japanese discography. The last two singles, Your eyes tell and Film out (my favorite for Jin), are really great for him. Also the astronaut ft Coldplay and the song he made just for fun Super Tuna. You can also Check Epiphany. BTW, about the live question, you should Watch their concert. You could be surprise

One reason I'm loving their solo stuff is because they all seem even better. They actually get to shine in what they are good at. I think Jin and V get the worst of it since V sings better low and his style, and Jin does better with ballads and Japanese songs. When they come back as a group, I hope they do their own album completely the way they want to. Where everyone is showcased in their best light. Im an ot7 girl. I find it impossible to pick a bias.

It just seems some reactors are determined to love or hate a video/song before it even starts. So many are biased. There’s a lot of immature fans that can’t handle criticism but the majority know that everyone is not going to like everything. There’s one reactor who rates things 1-10. He hasn’t rated anything a 10 so far. If he doesn’t like something, he just says it’s not for him. He has a lot of K-pop fans/stans watching his videos. No one is arguing with him in the comments. They just suggest more videos they want him to watch.
