Hello Jared and Jordan. I didn't expect to see my comment pop up on my screen as I was watching this. I cried, to be honest. I knew if I was placed in hospice, the people in my life knew I cared for them truly since I never went without saying "I love you" every chance I had. It was a tough journey for me in 2019 mentally, and BTS really did help me. I said that I learned it's okay not to dream partly because of their songs (like Paradise), a couple comments from the members (like the comment you mentioned about Suga), and many other things I learned in therapy over the years. People always expect someone to have one big dream and that puts pressure on you. I used to be so focused on a dream that I nearly ran myself into the ground, literally. I have plans and goals, not dreams, so I don't burden myself if things turn sour. I do plan on writing a book about the rare illness I survived and can only hope it helps those who also encounter the same illness I did, that's why I decided to go back to school last year. I now focus on myself, everyday life, and the little things. If I didn't do those things I wouldn't be where I am now. Things happen and come to people in life when it's least expected. My illness was certainly one of those, but BTS performing on my TV screen for the New Year's Eve show was as well. As long as I am happy and having fun, I believe I am living a good life. I hope you both are doing well. I'm glad to see you both are enjoying this journey like many of us have. They do have an anthology album plus three new songs that come out next month on the 10th, 3 days before their 9th anniversary. Borahae. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

In the show, a fan wrote: "I gave up my dream." And Suga's response was: "I don't know what happened but it must have required tremendous courage. Making a bold decision to give up means you have great courage. You've worked hard. Fighting." Silver Army are older Army with silver (grey) colored hair. I am 60 and been Army since 2018. The guys remind me of my friends and I when we were their age. I wished they were around when we were younger but it wouldn’t have been their time. Their time is now. I am so happy for them. Their debut music is the kind of music I listened to when I was in my late 20s early 30’s. It makes me happy to listen to. Jimin is the member I relate to first then Suga. My personality is mostly Jimin’s with a bit of Suga mixed in. ☺️ Like Jimin loving to sleep in to late in the day is so me. Growing up my friends would call 📞 at like 2pm and my dad would tell them I was still asleep. They would call back at 4pm and I was still asleep. LOL I would be up all night until 3 or 4 am or even later playing video games and sleep all day. Like Jimin I get all my energy at night. I hate mornings and Jimin all the time. When we say you Jimined today it means your late. I am not late out of disrespect I am late because my body is on a different schedule then the average person. 🥴

You guys are seriously... THE best reactors I've seen in my 8 years of being an ARMY. You really look into it and don't take what they do at surface value. Love seeing how much you are researching to be able to really appreciate the lyrics and music, especially since it's in an entirely foreign language for you guys. Much props and can't wait to see more BTS content from yall! p.s I'd like to suggest when you're reacting to MVs, since you're already reacting to the dance practice maybe also react to the "comeback stage" associated with the song! It's basically the first live stage they do for each new song they release. So for this one it would be "BTS no more dream debut stage", for the rest it would be [for example] "BTS fake love comeback stage" just so you can see a live performance of it too! :)

In *Paradise,* when BTS says "it's ok to not have a dream", what they are expressing is that it's ok for people to take their time to figure out what they want to do with their lives (as career path, as life style, if you want to marry or not, etc). They don't mean that you shouldn't have any dream or ambition or goal, but rather, that you don't have to force yourself to run with no destination, that it's ok to walk slowly or stay still until you decide where you want to go. And to not feel pressured by society to overwork yourself for no reason, because that leads to burnout, more confusion and unhappiness. They also are reminding people about the importance of enjoying the present moment and the small things in life, that everyone needs to take time to breathe, to take care of themselves, to do recreational activites, and rest. Not everything is "being on the go". They also imply that it's valid if, eventually, you decide you want a more simple life (simple job, going home to your family and friends every night, or maybe traveling around alone), as opposed to a more ambitious path on a competitive field/aiming for a high position in society. Life is a marathon, not a race. This is the message of the song. In contrast, *No More Dream's* message is straightforward: don't let society, your parents, your teachers or fear to dictate what career or life path you are going to follow on your adult life. Don't let statistics or fear of not having stability or expectations people impose on you, make you give up on your dream, if you have one (like being an artist or idk an astrologer, or an unconventional job that is unfairly frowned upon). Be willing to take risks and be prepared to put the effort and time required to achieve whatever is that you desire. Be willing to move to another city/country, or to get out of your comfort zone. Don't put limitations on yourself. Despite both these songs seemingly be viewing the same problem from different perspectives, in my opinion, they have one big topic in common: both No More Dream and Paradise, at its core, are challenging people to "make your own decision about your own life, and be responsible for how your life evolves. Don't let someone else make those desicions for you." Curiously, BTS has an outro song called *EGO* (J Hope's solo), in which Hobi is exactly reassuring himself about how he has lived following his own decisions, how that is the pillar of his ego/his confidence/his pride. In times when he's scared or unsure, he reminds himself that "I trust myself".

Such an affirming song for those who are still muddling through life with no certain direction. These boys are so persevering and dedicated, Jungkook just graduated from college this March, and the rest of the boys are taking their MBA degrees. It continues to baffle me how they are able to do what they do and study on top of everything. We have to give credit t Jungkook because he often kept telling people how he is so done with studying but he persevered until he earned his undergrad degree. The boys actually cringe at the sight of their debut music video and are surprised to this day at how they managed to garner fans at the time it first came out.

I think what Suga is trying to say in regards to it being okay to not have a dream (and older armys can correct me if i'm wrong) is that its okay to live a simple life. It's okay to not have huge aspirations and goals, as long as you're happy, thats enough. I love this sentiment because I remember feeling so stressed growing up because I didn't have big dreams or a "dream job". It's a huge comfort to know being happy with a simple and humble life is okay.

@@ellysavaj5656 Yes! And i think its so important to point out all the societal pressures and problems that lead to this stress on young (and older) people to have a dream and huge aspirations. Almost as soon as we can speak we're constantly asked "what you do you want to be when you grow up?", and then we're put through a school system driven by standardized tests and teaching where there is minimal room to explore our own interests. Its crazy that we are suddenly expected to know what we are passionate about when we've been given no time to explore our interests. And don't even get me started on the fact that some dreams are more socially acceptable than others...its ambitious and impressive to want to be a doctor or lawyer, but a foolish/unrealistic dream to be an actor or artist... Sorry for the rant lol I'm just very passionate about this type of thing and love that BTS helps open up these conversations!

i completely agree! there’s always been a push to convince people they should constantly be wanting bigger and better, or just that they should want specific things out of life, to the point where they’re convinced from a young age that if they don’t actually want that, there’s something wrong with them, which isn’t the case at all. whatever your aspirations are, as long as they’re what you truly want and what truly makes you happy, there is no wrong answer. everyone has a right to a self-determined experience of life, not just a collection of everyone else’s desires projected onto them.

I haven’t been an Army for that long. I first found them in March 2021. It was the same time that my first pet was born. My experience isn’t as serious as others but BTS helped me, maybe not when I needed it most but when I didn’t have anyone else to rely on. My first pet cat, Shade, was born in March and I adopted her in May 2021. I was so lonely and I didn’t have any friends that I could trust but Shade was always there for me and the highlight of my day would always be walking home from school and knowing that I would see Shade and cuddle with her. She died in October 2022 and I cried constantly for days. I had discovered BTS before that point but I didn’t listen to them as avidly as I do now. After Shade died the only thing that brought me comfort was listening to BTS and now I almost exclusively listen to their music because they have so many different genres and messages that fit my moods. They helped me cope with her death and later helped me learn to love myself and be comfortable in my skin and now I have friends that I would do anything for and I know they would do anything for me. I became so much more confident and outspoken which is something I really struggled with and I owe it all to BTS. I know it’s been a year since you posted this video and you probably won’t see this but if you do, I am a loyal subscriber to you guys because I know that you understand their power and how sincerely they feel about the messages they spread. Any Army that have read this far I purple you 💜💜

Honestly had no idea what I was getting myself into with a 50 minutes plus reaction to No More Dream lol. I really enjoyed reliving this song with you guys! As a 33-year-old attorney and mother of two--I had no dream. I let life take me without much thought and just did what I was told. I was in the US Army from age 17-24 (while in college and law school). I didn't have time to dream lol. But BTS showed me, much later in life (28 years old), that I am more than what people see. Tired of being sad and being told I had nothing to be sad about. Told I didn't get to be sad because I have a job, a husband, kids, and whatever else people dreamed about. BTS let me cry, let me know it was okay to not know what I am doing, and ignore haters who like to demean my sadness because they hate how far I have supposedly come. I have grown to love myself despite the so-called 'successes' that I have achieved and forgave myself for not achieving things that actually mattered to me. It was a long-time coming but, again, like many Armys, they found me when I most needed them. :)

Yes you all guessed right! That was Jungkook rapping, second was Jhope and the last was Jimin with the high note in the background. Don't worry guys it'll take some time but you guys are actually doing a great job telling who's who in just a short of time. Everyone is really talented, they all can sing, most of them can rap, the vocal line can hit high notes and more. You'll see it when you guys listen to their b-side songs (and this is a must!) their songs are gems. If I'm being honest, usually to some artists, the title tracks of the album are the only one who we like but to BTS their whole album is just chef's kiss. There is no bad song and I'm not exaggerating. It will just depend on your music taste but if you're open to any genre, then it's no problem. Personally, I'm not really into this kind of genre, I'm more of a ballad and jazzy type of song but bts is an exception. Everything sounds so good to me. The "Ioniq: I'm On It" is a promotional song for Hyundai. But you barely notice the car because the mv & song are so good; similar style as "Film Out" "Come Back Home" was released on July 4, 2017 as remake of Seo Taiji’s song "Come Back Home" for Seo Taiji 25th Anniversary Remake Project. “With Seoul” is a BTS song and film highlighting Seoul as a vacation spot. The original also shows them recording it. They have also done 3 other versions, including a “short” on 2020-09-11; a beautiful drone visual of Seoul (The Four Seasons of Seoul” on 2019-12-30, & an amazing drone visual mv on 2021-01-09. My personal favorite "other version" video is "DANGER (Mo-Blue-Mix) , featuring THANH". Thanh is an Australian-Vietnamese singer. This song has a R&B vibe with some great lyrics added by Thanh. There are loads of their other songs including some of my favorites: “Dionysus”, “Ma City”, “Truth Untold”, ”Outro: Tear”, “House of Cards”, “Lost”, “Dimple”, “Butterfly”, etc. and their solo, rapline, vocal line, short films, comeback trailers, etc. not included.

I actually never really had a dream that I really desired to come true and it kinda made me feel like an odd one out surrounded by people who did. What I thought was a dream was just a path my parents suggested when I was younger, until I realized I didn't want to go that way. And then BTS came along with their song Paradise and many others and made a point to say that it's great if you have a dream, but It's also possible to not have one and that's okay. Just being happy or simply breathing is enough to be considered as a dream. And those words really helped me a lot. They became my dream :) PS. Thank you so much for the great videos. I really look forward to your videos these days. You guys are awesome!

Same, I thought I had many dreams however when I really think about it, I never really wanted to become any of those. I just wanted to live a very simple life unlike my parents whom want me to really succeed in everything. it's kinda pressuring but I know why they want me to do it. Still when I realized that I never really had a dream, or rather I never had any visions of my future, I was kinda scared. Everyone around me knows what they wanna become. However Paradise saved me and helped me realise that it's okay, along with Magic Shop these two became my comfort song. 💜

Firts of all , i'm sorry about my english , i'm italian , 17 yo and i'm currently in America as an exchage student. I've got to know BTS almost 4 years ago. In that moment my life was just being destroyed in thousand of pieces. I had to face anorexia than bulimia. 2 months later i got blind by one eye because of a tumor in my optical nerve. My parents were divorcing. My dream was to be either an astronaut ( i have a strong passion for the universe ) or join the air force. Sadly with my blind eye i figured out that my dreams were impossible to achive. I started to listen to BTS and my life changed. Before i couldn't find a reason to live anymore , but then i felt understood by them. They helped me to understand that no matter what , life has a value , and i'm not allowed to give up. Tenacity is what they taught me. Next year i will proudly join the marines corp. I will fight to make me stronger and to walk with BTS in this rough way to make this world a better world. Btw i love your respect and your open minds upon this 7 special guys. The earth should be filled by humans as you two.

It was Jungkook rapping (the 1st time you asked). He’s a great rapper. A lot of armies are hoping he’ll rap again soon. Of course he’s a better vocalist but he’s also a great rapper. There are other songs he raps in especially earlier songs. And then the vocal line all rapped one of the rap songs, DDaeng….he did RM’s part of that song.

Their lyrics and their brilliantness on composing and inspiring their albums, conecting their MV's, those little things with such huge meaning, how criticals they are with the system, the way they adress their haters and how beloved and treasured I feel since I have songs like We are bulletproof: The eternal, Magic Shop, Young Forever, etc. made me an army. There is nothing I couldn't love about them. I tried to stan another group and I know other groups are equaly amazing, I mean, being an idol is not easy, it requires talent and hard work but these guys, gosh they own me completly. Their music go beyond lyrics of love, heartbreaking, or any other cliche. That's why no other group catched my interest on their music.

I guess but I think they should listen to a bit more of their songs randomly and get to know them more like watching complication videos and stuff like that eventually before they do things like going back or doing a documentary series. I feel it's best to do this first, listening to different songs of theirs for at least a little while before just because they have so much content you know and trying to start from all the way in the beginning will take a long time and they'll have an even harder time getting to know them since they don't know who they are and what they look like today enough yet.

Hi guys ! 💜 When westerners get introduced to BTS , they assume that this group is a lovey-dovey , bubble-gum kinda group. They’ll say something along these lines : Ok, wow, they’re so many of them in the group ,they’re cute , but they’re Korean so I won’t understand anything that they’re saying ! So basically, they won’t give them much thought. Once you take the time to really see what they’re saying in their songs, you will definitely be intrigued, thus diving more into their songs and messages, and that my friends…..is where your world turns upside down, and you say to yourself: What the hell is this ? Have I been living under a rock ? Their cuteness turns out to be not relevant anymore, and their personalities take over. And then….you begin to love these 7 guys for their talent, humility, their brotherhood, and their love for ARMY. How can you not? Thanks guys for continuing on the BTS journey. I suggest you watch their solo songs to get to know them more in detail, so you will be able to tell them apart when they do their BTS videos together. It will help, trust me! 💜

What I really get from this song and the *"it's okay not to have a dream"* is because a lot of time, it has become a very important question and even expectations. I know a lot of people out there that don't understand and even looked down on people who doesn't have big dreams in life. Yoongi (Suga) is trying to tell us that it's okay to live a simple life and enjoy the present (and less stressing about the future). Personally, I live in a society much like South Korea (still an Asian country). Dream is an expectations to have. People live ambitiously here (not that it's a bad thing). But I don't agree that people should live the same way. That *way* , being ambitious in every aspect of one's life. I also went to one of the top highschool here with geniuses in it (I def not one of them lol; I can barely survive when I graduated). I fell into depression during those 3 years because I just simply couldn't catch up with the way everyone live. Even now I still struggle with the thought of having to "catch up". When in reality, everyone has their own pace, ways, and destinations in life. Sometimes I feel stagnant. Like I was marching in place when everyone around me is running through the "future". I felt guilty for not knowing my exact dreams or plans for my future. Right now I'm focusing on "healing" myself. Improving my mental health, specifically. That's my focus; the present. I've been too caught up in the thought and pressure of the future that I forgot to live in the moment. Sadly, not a lot of people understand that. Many think that someone's value lays in what and where they study in university, where they work, how much money they're making, and again, their dreams :) I am so glad that BTS has always been sticking to this idea. Both cheering everyone to find, chase, and work for their dream; but also not dismissing the fact that life is not only about "dream". It's such a vast idea with different meaning and values for everyone. People could have a dream, lost it, found it again, doesn't have one, doesn't plan to, etc. And BTS wants everyone to know that *it's okay* . Our values incorporate a lot of aspect and shouldn't be decide only by one of them :)

I'm crying now. I am proud of myself for discovering this channel, and it is an honor to be able to participate in your journey. I saw a lot of ARMY writing comments here to share the right and latest version of information. And a lot of "I purple you". I'm glad WE're together and this inspires me to be a better person. Yes, my dream is to be a better person tomorrow than today. Not to be controlled by my bad feelings. Follow the doctor's instructions properly. Being nice to people. Being well-mannered with anyone. Exercise and study every day, even for a short time. I used to be a workaholic and got a pretty good salary. I thought my life was only going up. But my genetic disease, which I didn't know for reasons of my early passed parents, pushed me into the abyss. One day I fainted and my heart stopped. I woke up in the E.R. and I had to into hospital. My disease is a rare disease that does not produce enough blood and causes rejection on my body. It's a disease that can't be cured by any surgery or medication, and that you have to be careful and take care of for the rest of your life. But fortunately, I'm not that bad. The doctor says serious cases can lead to death as a teenager. As I said, I was a workaholic and didn't eat or sleep properly. So I ignored all the symptoms of frequent fainting, severe headaches, and for a while being blindness or deafness. The doctor says it's a miracle I'm still alive. So I work for less than half of my old salary, and I have to be checked at the hospital regularly. I could die suddenly tomorrow, or I could live another 10 or 20 years. At first, I was devastated and depressed, so I stayed at home without seeing anyone for year. And that's when I met BTS. It was their lyrics that saved me. their sincerity healing for people. I hope people realize that being able to dream of the future is already a blessing.

RM said we dont play musical instruments our dance is our instrument and its so true. In a lot of their songs their choreo tells a story along with the song. JK still raps now and then as he fills in for any of the rappers who are missing for any reason but hes a super busy boy as hes main vocalist, lead dancer and he also sings all the vocal guides and does most of the ad libs also. When this MV came out JK was only 15/16 and now that hes bigger and older he can carry Jimin along a line of around 20 people for that kick down part lol. My dream as im 68 is to see the boys in concert ( the pandemic stopped me ) as I live in Australia and they havnt toured here since 2017 and going overseas involves long flights for me.

We always appreciate genuine reactors that dive deeply so that people understand WHY they have so many fans and see they’re more talented/hardworking than typical boybands of the past. They are actually famous for their insane choreography. They have official dance practice videos that show you the full choreo preparing for performances, not just just the parts you see in the music videos. The one for this song is NOWHERE near as difficult as most of their other ones. I suggest you include them in all your reactions to their title songs. Professional choreographers have been reacting exclusively to their dance practices for years. I was not familiar with dance groups when i first got into BTS and to this day i’m mesmerized watching these videos.

you got it right... that was jungkook rapping the first time you asked. yes, that was j-hope the next time you stopped. and yes, that was jimin with the high notes there. 💜 no more dream is a very relevant song. i wish i heard this song when i was younger but i heard it during my 30s. regardless, it still made me ponder my life choices... it made me want to rekindle my real passion. it made me realize i've been living my life how i'm expected to. along the way, i just stopped dreaming of how i really want to live my life... for "don't worry about college, i'll go somewhere even if it's far away..." to me, it means people have stopped realizing that the real and ultimate value for going to school, regardless of where, is the LEARNING and not the mere diploma which is supposedly just a symbol that you indeed learned. this line of the song makes me feel that the youth is resigned to just pacifying their parents/adults and trying to live to their expectations than taking the time to ponder on what they really want to do and pursuing that instead. honestly, after hearing this song and reading the lyrics, it gave me some form of reassurance. i get mocked sometimes that i don't take my parenting seriously because i ask my child what would make her happy... what's her dream, and it shouldn't be about the money. many people don't get that what i wish for my daughter isn't just wealth and recognition. my wish for her is happiness and a life driven by passion - so that if she struggles, she's struggling for something she chooses and wants. i don't want her to be a slave to society's dictates. no more dream pushes that messaging. i'm not saying to be irresponsible. i'm saying, work for what you want and live that life.

13:50 that day was SO NICE, like just the pride in hearing a members voice and knowing exactly who it is.... nothing beats it. Soon enough you guys will be able to just look at someones lips, an eye, etc and figure it out 🤣

to answer your question: once upon a very long time ago i wanted to be a dancer however my situation in life and my parent's financial issues kept me from following such a path. still even at my older age my love and passion for dance always persists and although i will not ever be able to see such a dream to fruition i know that dancing will always instill light within my soul for the rest of my life. also just wanted to let you both know that your channel has brought me such joy lately. there have been those who dive into bts properly with analyzation of lyrics and dance practice - and i appreciate them - however none have been able to capture my attention the way y'all do so easily. perhaps it's the way you speak, or the way you show genuine understanding - i have no idea. all that aside i am so glad you've decided to take this journey into the bts rabbit hole - as an army of over 4 year now i will gladly watch along with a smile and pride as you grow. stay blessed.

idk who told you about doolset lyrics but they're the best in giving english translations because they also give the korean/cultural (or other explanatory) context for foreign listeners! 🤍

As the saying goes, BTS is the definition of synchronization! They practice for hours and it shows!
