*This is the best theory I've seen so far.* I feel people keep overthinking the events that might have caused certain things and stuff, but I believe Big Hit and BTS didn't want this to be just another drama or science fiction story. This theory seems more realistic as it focuses on the message they want to give us, instead of the storyline. It has an aim, and it is to show people they can love themselves in order to be happy. Yes, there are going to be dark days and moments where nothing seems right. Nevertheless, there is always a way out (and I guess that's what we'll see in the next albums). So yeah, I don't think the main topic of this amazing storyline we've been given is just time travel or tragedies everywhere. It's about living, suffering, fighting and learning how to love yourself.

Um I just realized this but remeber the smeraldo flowers that jin was suppose to give to that girl but she died? Well I think it's based of the story of smeraldo where a man who lives in a palace who never came out because he thought he was ugly and the only thing he enjoyed was gardening. One day a girl comes and steals some flowers from his garden. He observed the girl who would come everyday to pick flowers. One day he decided to make a special flower like no other and plant it on his garden for the girl. When he finally succeeded on making a one of a kind flower (I think it's the smeraldo flower) he noticed that the girl never came back to his garden. Little did he know the girl was already dead. This relates to when Jin tried so hard to get the smeraldo flower for the girl and searched for it in many stores because the girl wanted to have smeraldo flowers (it was written in her diary) Once he found it he went to meet the girl. But he was too late when the girl got into the car accident just like how the guy from the story who was too late because he was too afraid to show his real self to the girl And to add more the song truth untold in the new tear album was rumored to be based on the story. You could clearly tell from the lyrics.

I tried searching for that story but no physical book can be found about it, I tried internet but it either directs me to Oz or the blog. Try searching the story of smeraldo flower, it's easy to access now since a apparently a lot of army's searced it up for quite some time until now. Also if you actually read the lyrics and read the story again, it's 95% matching. It's just that he never really came to see or talk to her, and he never got the chance to show and give the flowers to her in that story. The smeraldo does not exist, and he will never be able to show himself to the world. He grew a flower that can never bloom in a dream that will never come true.

Th3 scenes in save me webtoon, and their music videos, like Fake love, is related to MAP OF THE SOUL "We must find the map of the soul.." the phrase jin said when he was trying to save the boys, when he opens the window. Heres my theory: Truth untold: if you watch the color coded lyrics, theres a part "I must put on this mask for i am ugly", the lyrics represents the masked guy jungkook saw on fake love. The mask they wore on MAP OF THE SOUL trailer. NO MORE DREAM: back to the topic of fake love. As told in this video, the boys traded stuff for their temporary happiness, and the butterfly drawing on the board on NO MORE DREAM, represents all the tragic memories to just fly, like a butterfly. The lyrics in butterfly says it all. The gurl who jin tried to protect, Yoongis mother and the girl who had the lolipop, The girl on the same bus on namjoons, The girl who jimin accidently pushed and hurted, Namjoons father that was accidently killed by Taehyung, the girl who taehyung was chasing to explqin what happened, and Jungkooks fear on seing the boys suffer. Hoseok Hoseok exchanged chocolate to the magic shop because he had a bad memory of chocolate, why? Try to remember MV 'WINGS Short Film: MAMA'. There Hoseok small given a bar of chocolate and left by his mother. That's why, he wants to forget his bad memories and go to the magic shop. That's where he got a cake instead of chocolate. This cake brings good memories for Hoseok, because this cake is the same cake he gets from a girl in MV 'LOVE YOURSELF: Highlite Reel'. So, she feels as if she's getting her mother's affection through this cake. But after getting the cake, his expression did not show happiness, because actually he realized that the cake he got was just an illusion. The real reality is brown, but he wants to throw away the memory of his childhood. 2. Namjoon Namjoon exchanged broken glass with the words "need to survive". The writing on this glass can be seen in the MV 'WINGS Short Film: REFLECTION' where Namjoon writes "need to survive" and can also be found on MV 'HYYH: Epilogue'. I have my own theory. This is something that I was thinking of as I was watching ur video. When Jungkook traded himself in, it could’ve been him feeling guilty watching his hyungs being sad/depressed. Why? Well because he ran away from his own duties as being the kid trapped in omelas. That’s why in not today you see him running. He was running away from his duties. When you saw his members falling down/getting shot at, it was because he left. You see he wasn’t shot at all. That means he had escaped but sadly his hyungs didn’t. So he traded himself in to get his members their happiness. That had restricted him to only seeing them from afar from now on. And how to explain the ending? My theory is that the ending actually came first. The ending was a flash back to when he found his way out. When he left and ran away. When he grabbed his chance at happiness, his members felt despair and that’s why you see all of their fears came in. I think that’s why the music stopped playing because it wasn’t present time, present time was when he was watching his members from afar. Jungkook left and found happiness but his members were left behind. He then felt guilt for being happy when his members aren’t. That’s why he had to face himself for who he actually was and what was right.

I feel like the song is focusing on losing yourself in a relationship. Furthermore, sometimes when you truly love someone you do anything for them to love you. That includes changing yourself to be perfect for them. Like when RM,J-Hope, and Jungkook’s line “ The route I took, I forgot. I even became quite unsure of who I was, try babbling into the mirror, who the heck are you?” He has done anything in his power to change himself, but she still doesn’t seem to be impressed. Therefore, he starts to forget who he really is and is lost in this chaos he has created in his mind and she won’t help him get out. “make me your doll” Some people ship them selves into what they think others want them to be. They occasionally use love as justification for this change, people can begin to lack genuineness by doing it. In more than one way they lose who they are, and it will quickly corrupt a once pure love. Suga’s part; “ you say I am unfamiliar, changed into the one you used to like. You say I’m not myself which you knew well. No? What do you mean no, I’m blind. Love? What the heck is love, it’s all fake love.” He wore a mask for so long, in order to become something else like another person he admired or even a version of himself he had imagined and attempted to be. He tells himself that he is not himself, because he knows he’s been wearing a mask, and he no longer loves or recognizes who he is. When he questions “No?” And says “ what do you mean no, I am blind.” It seems that he wants to ignore the reality of the mask and continue to wear, and the other wants to be set free from this fake love. The insecurity, anxiety, and fear of taking the mask off, facing himself (face yourself), A person he no longer knows if he ever knew, terrifies him. He refuses to be honest, even to himself, and therefore lies by stating. “No” he didn’t know that he’s not himself because he’s “blind” He wants to break free from the facade he created, and he’s aware of the fake quality of his love for himself, as well as his love for the other because how can one truly love others when he doesn’t even love himself? “It’s all Fake Love” And about the ending, I think it has to do with 전하지 못한 진심 (The Untold Truth) because in the song they talk a lot about a “mask” and the fear of what will happen when they take it off. V: “ i’m so afraid that you will leave me again in the end, once again I put on a mask and go see you.” Jimin and Jungkook: “ i’m crying that’s disappeared, that’s fallen, left alone in the sand castle looking at this broken mask.” These lines could mean that they put up this facade and used their time to build this relationship. (The Sandcastle). However, in the end the Sandcastle end up falling apart. In this situation, it’s when Jimin/Jungkook reveals them self to their lover. Their lover leaves them but they still wants their love.
