Suga’s first love is the piano. He wrote a song called First Love. One of the things I love about BTS songs is that there could be many interpretations, however, they rarely do so called love songs. That’s why it’s important to know the concepts of their albums. Fake Love was during their Love Yourself concept. So for me, this song represents finding love for yourself when you stop lying to yourself and accept one’s flaws, strengths, and once you love yourself then you can love others. That’s my take. Always enjoying your reactions! 💜

Thank you Emily & Kaneda, I found your interpretation of Fake Love so interesting! All art is subjective, which makes BTS songs so much fun! Although there are explanations of the song, Fake Love always makes me think of "on-line" Fake Love, as represented by all the cell phones around V, and the floating hearts(hearts from our computers)from Jungkook's hands, BTS always doing so much for the ARMY, but is it real love that BTS receives for the effort? BTS rarely sing about romantic love, mostly self love or love for ARMY. The Snickers around J Hope are a nod to the BU. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜OT7

In Film Out (another song(Japanese OST)) they do have stuff blowing up too because BTS likes to reuse lyrics from old songs and choreo and anything else they like. So Film Out actually echo's Fake Love. =0] Did u spot Save Me written behind V? That is a call back to their song by the same name. Not sure if u heard it already. There is an MV for it. Jungkook picking up the sand and it turns into phantom petals is a representation of the line in the song "I grew a flower that can't bloom in a dream that won't come true" Some of the other aspects like the snickers bars and the toys in the room with J-Hope and fire in the room with Suga are all points that goes back to the BU or Bangtan Universe. BTS has a fictional story line that connects a lot of their videos together and Fake Love has some aspects of that in it. In the intro of BTS '"Fake Love", Jungkook sings: "Love you so bad, love you so bad / Mold a pretty lie for you ... I grew a flower that can't be bloomed in a dream that can't come true ". These sad lyrics were not just flowery words strung together, as the band intended to tell a story of heartbreak that extended from their previous work. In the first verse, BTS sings: "I changed everything, just for you / But I don't know me, Who are you?". The theme of disconnected lovers continues throughout the song. RM brought this up when speaking to Billboard around the time of the song's release. "We're trying to say that if you, in love, when you're not true to yourself, the love won't last", he told. "Because love is complex and we always have the dark sides and the sad sides." This song sings the agony of some sort.
