Yea there was a lot of references in this song, "Hello my alien, we're each others mystery." so way back when, Tae used to be called an alien for his outlandish/unique personality so Jimin used that line. The set that the crew created was a replica of the bus stop Vmin use to sit at waiting for the school bus. They went to highschool together which has a big part to do with their bond as well, but its all thanks to BigHit tbh. Without BigHit Tae and Jimin would've never even met. The "dreamcatcher, 7 years of history" line is used because when Jimin heard Tae had a nightmare he got him a dreamcatcher.

Jimin also said that he continually texted Tae throughout the writing process just to make sure Tae's parts, his lyrics would meet with Tae's approval, as well as getting input from Tae!! Jimin also gave Tae equal amount of verses, even giving certain notes to Tae, that Tae himself said he had difficulty in singing at first, but even after hearing from the other producers involved that Tae was having difficulty, he decided to keep them in, knowing & having faith in Tae's abilities. Sure enough, Tae said that he pushed through, achieving magnificently, those more difficult notes, just like Jimin knew he could. Jimin has always been Tae's biggest supporter

This melody was created by Jimin and then the lyrics created together so it makes sense that the tone of the song sounds more like Jimin, he was so cute and proud when he explained how his song Got picked for the album 😊👬

No. I believe the song's melody was written by Jimin and he himself produced the song and participated in writing lyrics but V wasn't.

Jimin and V are of the same age(both born in 1995) so they're more on the same page most of the time. They went to the same school when they were still trainees and V, being a social butterfly even then, asked his friends to look after Jimin when he's not around. They've been together through thick and thin, and yeah including misunderstanding and petty fights. So their friendship really has gotten to a soulmate level

About all they've been through like before they would ride the bus together and now they can have a joyride with their own cars if they got the time. JIMIN and V FRIENDSHIP gives me so much joy. At the beginning VMIN asked to RM to write this song for them but he said that only themselves would be able to write their friendship history in the best, correct, appropriate, accurate way, well RM was right. Every single word in this lyric is so descriptive, related to them, it was really well done. You should watch some VMIN videos you'll love it because VMIN ARE LITERALLY SOULMATES!!! 💜💜

I think the “mystery” also talks about how V having a unique personality. The members describe him as character that came from a cartoon/anime, where you will never know what he will do next, especially when he was young. This song is really amazing, it’ll make you wish to have the same kind of friendship as VMin. If you can also react to the “When BTS is so done with VMin” video to see more how their friendship is. the lyrics says "we are each other's mystery" so i think it's more like just them didn't understand each other cuz they are so different. the previous lyrics "me from moon, you from star. our conversations were like homework" are describing how they were so different from each other that they couldn't communicate well. also it that context "hello my alien" came out.

Jimin having short fingers is just an inner joke, BTS members think it's hilarious. It may also be a reference to that "pinky promise" children do, when you make a promise to be friends forever while making a hanshake or a little ritual. When V says "Hey Jimin?" and there's the sound of opening a Champaign bottle, it's V inviting Jimin to have a drink with him/hang out. And at the end, they were recreating a common occurence from when they were in their last year of high school: basically, V was iniviting Jimin to go eat some of those meat buns with him.
