I live GoGo so much! They all 6 look so cute as dwarf’s esp Namjoon and Yoongi and Tae white is sooooo pretty. Only Tae could have pulled it off so beautifully. I haven’t seen anyone in the comments mention it but just a day or so before this dance practice Tae’s old friend a model/dj friend tragically died from suicide. He was a semi celebrity too and Tae had in previous years posted pics of them playing etc… which is why you see Tae pretty solemn and his eyes sad before the beginning of the dance practice. I think this was something that they did to cheer him up etc. And you are right he absolutely slayed this. I love when he wears what is traditionally considered feminine clothing or gender neutral clothes which is a lot more than most people realise. He just normally layers the woman’s dresses (like the white dress and feather boa from boy in luv, or the silk red DVF nightdress) over trousers etc… he often wears ladies shirts too and suits etc, the cuts look especially good on him. I loved him in a skirt for Elle Korea too. My fav was his red frilly golf shorts he wore in America. Fun fact, Tae used to take part in drag competitions in school which he loved. Which is also why he danced so well in those heels in that variety show. He also one Halloween wanted to dress as Harley Quinn but he wasn’t allowed to so he dressed as a sexy vampire instead. And who can forget the iconic Tae lady bug outfit from rookie king or the pictures of him behind the scenes wearing Namjoon’s sailor moon penalty outfit including wig because he wanted too. Also agree with you about Jin’s part. Great reaction. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

My favorite performance of GOGO is the new years special performance with the HEARTS ❤ Traditionally on their last performance of the promotions they would sneak heart gestures throughout the choreo... And the GOGO one is the most iconic

I've only been an ARMY for one year, but this was the first BTS song that really got me hooked on them. I watched a competition show called Peaktime last year that came as a suggestion for me to check out, and one of the competing groups performed this song. I thought it was cute so I looked it up on KZbin and found out it was a BTS song, and it was a total earworm that I couldn't get out of my head no matter how much I listened to it. And then I fell down the rabbit hole that is BTS, and the rest is history haha! Thanks for reviewing and taking me down memory lane during my BTS anniversary month.💜

The causal outfits were part of the performance too actually. I'm sure people have already said so in the comments, if so I'll just briefly reiterate why that is. This song is one of their more political/social commentary songs (disguised as total bops as per usual😂, like "am I wrong" which I'm excited for you to get to as well lol). I forgot exactly what the topic was but I'm pretty sure it was something like how kids thinkk because they're young they can do whatever they want without consequences, spending all their money on trivial things that actually amount to nothing in the end (it kind of has a similar message "spine breaker") P.S. if I'm wrong or there's something else I forgot to add please anyone feel free to correct me its been a while since I learned what it was about😅

I would say that this song goes better with *Baepsae (Silver Spoon)* over *Spinebreaker.* While *Spinebreaker* is more them talking to their peers, telling them to stop being so materialistic that it burdens their parents, both *GoGo* and *Baepsae* criticizes the "haves/those in a privileged position" who are criticizing the "have nots/the underprivileged." *GoGo* is more telling society that they have no room to criticize how young ppl live their own lives bc society has created a bleak environment for the youth's future and that's why they're basically throwing their own money away. While it is mocking yolo culture, it's doing it in a self-deprecating way by basically showcasing the mindset of "my future is already wasted, so I might as well waste what little I have on whatever quick thrills/small bits of happiness I can find now."

I don't agree that the song criticizes spending money or following trends. for that bts have Spine Breaker. Go Go criticizes the economical situation in SK and the rest of the world honestly that doesn't allow you to earn enough money to secure your future with education, house, car. you don't have enough money for that, but saving is also a fruitless effort because then you will have to save for 20 years to be able to afford those. so this generation chooses to spend money on things that can make them happy today: party, friends, food; rather than living miserably to try and save money. the songs clearly represents a character faced with this problem, "I dont have money but I want to eat in restaurants and travel the world. my bank account is a pot with no bottom, every day I pour water into it. my future is already put on a mortgage. even if you save money, it's shit and not enough for anything, so just spend it" yes, it's a yolo mindset, but also yolo being repeated so much like yoloyoloyoloyolo just makes it silly, you dont take it seriously. because this behavior is not a solution for the problem, but something people turn to as the last resort. so they are not criticized for it, it's not their fault i recomend to check doolsetbangtan's translation for Go Go, you will find a lot of explanation on this social commentary there for example, the word squandering that caught your attention: 탕진잼 is a slang that can be broken into 탕진 and 잼. 탕진 (tangjin) means squandering, and 잼 (jam) is a shortened form of 재미 (jaemi; fun). It refers to a spending behavior of the young generation to spend all the available fund to get the maximum satisfaction with what they have. The macroeconomic conditions in Korea have been pretty sluggish, and the youth unemployment rate has been historically high. With a very low expectation of the economic conditions or opportunities turning in favor of them, and because “specks gathered are still specks,” young people choose to spend it all.

@@TITARNYA i just see so many people agreeing that Go Go is critique on overspending when it's literally the opposite: sympathy in a situation where middle class and lower can't afford anything but daily small satisfactions, at best. it's an age of huge uncertainty about each of our futures. we can't secure things that will provide stable life, so we are only left with an option of making TODAY good, but while doing so we deal with constant anxiety about TOMORROW. but we don't have a solution, so all there's left is to cheerfully yell yolo bc if you are sinking might as well do it with a song

jin rocked this. His voice is so amazing here. I know nothing about music . So, I don't know what to call this. I've seen that Jin changes his voice accordingly. Sometimes when I listen to a bts song with out knowing who sings which part I mistake Jin for someone else. often as tae because of deep voice and get shocked seeing it is jin. Jin is such a talented singer.

3:20 lol that’s not just Jin’s voice… it’s Jin and v at some parts and Jin and jungkook at some parts lol that’s why it sounds different. Jungkook says it right after Jin and if you listen… you can hear how similar it is to JK… especially the “yeah” at the end makes it more obvious .. but you can hear layered voices but usually it’s a harmony… but these are just doubled vocals… so they’re the same note…. Usually JK bc he does most of the background vocals and choruses… hobi does more choruses with Jk than anybody actually … but bc jungkook has that strong mid tone it balances out the high natural voices of Jin and jimin with jk and v… but you’ll hear the diffeeence in the live. Bc you can just hear who is singing mainly which is awesome Jin the second time around is blended with Vs doubled vocal there
