BTS is with Big Hit Entertainment - they used to practice 12 to 16 hrs per day pre-debut & during their first few years post-debut. Blackpink is with YG Entertainment (one of the original Big 3 Companies for Kpop in Korea). Big Hit Entertainment became huge in the past 7 years because of the success of BTS. Now, there's the Big 4 companies of KPop. BTS was always setting a new bar in music, choreography & performances since their debut in 2013.

Blackpink and bts aren't from the same company. But yeah blackpink dances sometimes don't look to pleasing bcs their choreographers fail to realize that their are only 4 members, so certain dance moves will look bad or incomplete. Eg. Lovesick girls choreo, it looks like they're just walking around bcs there are only 4 ppl, it's not like they're nct with all these members that if they walk around it will look coordinated. And bcs there's only 4 ppl there could never be a center, but when they have a center it looks off, one person is in the middle , 2 persons on the left and 1 on the right does not look good. certain dance moves will look sloppy. No hate to blackpink but a lil hate to the choreographers 💀( jk)

YG entertainment was boosted up by Big Bang and 2NE1’s success with edgy concepts during the 2nd generation of Kpop because no one else was doing it. That’s why Blackpink had a lot of hype when they debuted because YG being from the Big3 (JYP, SM, YG) had people anticipating the most from them. Obviously you cannot compare BTS and Blackpink because BTS came from a small company and had no hype around their debut. That does not mean that Blackpink is not capable of doing better than what YG is letting them show because that’s just their marketing strategy to make money out of them. Remember that Blackpink also trained for years to be as good as they are.

It's really important to separate blackpink from bts. YG, blackpinks company, stands for most bad kpop stereotypes. Blackpink doesn't have personal or creative freedom. They don't write or produce music, they just perform it. And they have no say in the matter. Their personas and roles in the group are crafted for them by their company. Even the rapper in blackpink doesn't write their own raps and they were assigned the role by their company. BTS on the other hand, and their company, BigHit, mark the new age of Korean pop. BTS have full creative and personal freedom. All of them are actual musicians who write and produce their own music. They do exactly what they want to do and their output is THEIR output. The bts rappers are actual rappers who come from the underground scene. They were signed because of it.

Here’s the thing. Anybody can learn to dance. Some of us have natural rhythm and well....some of us don’t😂 I would say Hoseok (J-Hope) has the most natural rhythm, I mean homeboy can dance to anything like fr. Jimin is probably the most technical dancer due to his contemporary background, and Jungkook is like a combination. All of them are extremely passionate dancers and you can tell they kill themselves in the studio. Tae, Jin, Joon and yoongi had little to no dance experience prior to BTS and it showed when they first came out ngl. They’ve all made tremendous progress to the point that tae was officially named part of the “dance line” and the others have grown significantly. They are both in the same industry of Idol Music but their management companies are not the same. Black Pink comes from YG Entertainment, one of the old Big 3 companies. BTS comes from Big Hit Entertainment, a relatively newer company compared to many of the others, especially the Big 3. I don't know how YG (the man) runs YG (his company) but Bang Si-Hyuk the CEO of Big Hit frequently gives us updates on what the company is trying to do to improve the well-being of BTS and their brand. BTS also has A LOT of say in EVERYTHING they do. Also it has nothing to do with money, BTS has had great choreography and performances since the beginning and that was ONE person, their longtime choreographer and performance director Son Seungduek.

I get what you mean about blackpink and their choreo being wack .... tbh they arent the best dancers like lisa is carrying the group at this point. when they make a group choreo they have to consider their strengths, if they were good dancers they would make the choreo they have interesting and captivating. i would recommend itzy and G-idle if you like good choreo from a girl group .
