You asked about Suga and basketball so here it is: Suga isn’t actually pronounced like “sugar” without the “r,” rather like “Shoo-ga” after his position in basketball: the Shooting Guard. BONUS: The nickname “AGUST D” when spelled backwards is “DTSUGA,” meaning D-Town SUGA (D-Town in reference to his hometown of Daegu, and SUGA in reference to his other stage name). They all come from different parts of the country in Korea. Not just for bts but K-pop idols in general live in dorms near their companies and train years at a time with their heavy work schedules majority don't see their families throughout the year .. During bts training period there was a clip where one of the members only visited their parents twice in that one year. So you really feel for them. They truly sacrificed a lot and really worked hard truly deserving people.

@@penfordmedia Yes they sacrificed a lot Jungkook was only 13 or 14 yrs old international age. So imagine being that age and only seeing you mother, father, sisters or brothers twice a year. The older members really did raise him and take care of him. He would get homesick and would cry missing his parents in the very beginning, the other members like JHope would console him. They were also broke in the early days so Jin would often cook their meals, and I know Suga and Jhope both got part time jobs like delivery jobs or currier service jobs all while doing 10 to 14 hr days training as a group.

One of the reason I respect BTS is their humility. Treating each other with respect. Every man has pride they uphold, it's just a matter of how you step back. For BTS, they learned to adjust to each other , respecting each. When arguments arises, it's just a matter of stepping back a little. And they know it. No, they don't get to see their families often. Once chosen as trainees, they live in dorms with their groups, and spend their days between school, practice, and various lessons on how to be an idol. Languages (yes, plural), etiquette, singing, dancing, etc. Every now and then, they get to visit their families, but they don't always have much time for that. And once they debut, they have even less time due to practice and performance. That is why the boys taking an extended break now is such big news. They have not had more than a few days to themselves since they debuted, so this is their first true vacation, where they can spend a decent amount of time with their families, in many many years. It's why Jungkook has said that the boys raised him. At the age of 14, he left his family home, moved to Seoul, and joined them, and was essentially raised by the other members.

that's why ARMY loves BTS so much, other than because the members are so humble, they really love each other. They typically might get one week off at a time before another concert or project. It was just announced yesterday that the first time since their debut in 2013 they are getting almost two full months off to rest an recharge. I’m sure seeing their other family will be a priority as they will finally get enough time to spend time with them. Plus this gives new ARMY’s time to catch up on all past videos, cds, VLives etc. They also have a new docu-series coming out on Weverse at the end of this month.

Love the BTS content, but you guys should try and just explore Kpop more and react to groups like GOT7, NCT, ATEEZ, MAMAMOO, RED VELEVT, SHINEE, etc. There are also really cool solo artists in K-Music like Chungha, Jessi (really good one of y’all like rap), jay park, dean, Sunmi, and the list goes on and on.
