I love how they’re each other’s biggest supporters. That there’s really no big egos in the group which is something you typically see in western groups. I also love how the have no problem complimenting each other. I don’t know if it’s a cultural thing but I do think it’s something we all could learn from. I’ve never thought it was fair that it’s normalized for females to compliment each other but for males it’s seen as weird. I think here it's been a cultural thing, influenced by things like t.v., the internet, ads & the intense competition among famous people (and their company's) for the consumer's dollars (who they'll spend their money on). With men, in the U.S., I think the reluctance of men in general to compliment other men, for their looks, stemmed from the homopphobia of the past, because ostracism, job and career losses could ebd up being the result of rumors. It's more common now, for guys to complment guys, as it should be. There's extreme competition that most kpop trainees go through & the companies cut individuals from groups, while they're training together &/or working crazy hard to be judged good enough to make it into a group. That must've stifled a lot of praise the 'wanna be idols' may've wanted to offer others they trained/performed with (in the early days of their careers). Those companies made it tough for the trainees to be highly supportive of eachother. Hitrman Bang must've realized how toxic, damaging, suffocating to the creative spirit (to anyone producing music or perfornming it) the standard kpop company's methods were. To his credit, he changed the whole way he formed the group, how they were trained, motivated, advised as he worked with BTS developing all their strengths. Now the world can SEE the obvious difference it has made; in the quality of their music, their drive & passion for performance & to succeed. He did not destroy the guys souls as he worked with them, like so many agencies, companies, managers etc. do, but instead he taught them to rely on each other, care about each other & others. He told them they had to write THEIR lyrics, tell about their experiences, thoughts, feelings in their music.He did not work them into the ground against their will, they said THEY practiced far more than they had to. Now, along with an ever faster changing world, BTS's great examples are giving millions the courage to just be more who they are, to be themselves and express it, whatever it is. Who they are, I say is directly because of their parents, families and then due to how differently Hitman Bang ran the company and directed their careers. Their producer, who got them together and sponsored their training & growth through all their many ups and downs did not treat them like objects to use to make himself money, but treated them as if they were his own family, like sons & the way he felt others should be treated. So much of our societal norms were influenced & created by the invention of television then the internet, because the competition for consumer dollars encouraged ever bigger egos and ever more outrageous selfishness, self absorption. Finally, some correction to that course of thinkingvand it's outcomes is happening. Being good to others can only swing back around on ourselves so, praise away, share the love !!

What I love about Namjoon, and the others too, is that group of friends are a perfect example of what a true friendship should be. That laugh, cry, compliment each other, fight, etc but always support each other. Their is no competition between each other. One is not trying to outdo the others. They support, encourage, love, etc. each other. Sometimes Namjoon reminds me of my soon when he was little. My soon was in the first grade but tested because of behavior problems early on. He was able to do grades 6-7 in the first grade but had absolutely no common sense! And, yes, he would break things too! Ya got love them.

RM does an exceptional job of “handling” these chaotic guys. He’s so smart yet compassionate. These were kids when this started and as a parent, I could see how he cared for them but kept them on the right path. The talent (all kinds) that is in this band is damn near overwhelming and he encourages it and nurtures them through life. I used to work in a day care and sometimes watching him with BTS is like watching reruns of my life with those kids. I’d like to take RM out to lunch in order to help him really get how important he is to these young men and I turn to ARMY. I think Namjoon is not as silly/goofy as the others, and even sometimes has gotten frustrated with them. But even in those moments, he's *ALWAYS* a gentleman, kind, polite and caring for them. The video of V asking Namjoon to cuddle with him at night is pure GOLD!!!!! 😂🤣 Namjoon's response to him is the definition of polite kindness in the face of an uncomfortable request. Joonie really is such a charismatic & humble leader, it's hard not to be drawn by him 🥺 He was actually my gateway to BTS and I really wanna thank him for being so patient & supportive of his team. If you haven't seen it, there was this clip where Bang PD asked Namjoon if he wants to go solo or stay with BTS, and Joon immediately answered "BTS" without hesitation or second thoughts.
