#REALONE RM is the best example of what a leader should be. He leads the group to what he thinks will be best for them, takes care of the members, never forgets to give credit to where credit's due. He knows his strengths and he accepts his weaknesses. He has shown gratitude always to his members and most especially to their fans. He's humble but proud of what they have achieved. He lets his members play around but lets them know when things should be taken seriously. Namjoon is leading in such a unique way, I have so much respect for him and what he does. He is right in the middle age-wise, but he knows exactly how to get the younger and the older members to listen to him when they need to. He is not authoritative or dominant in his personality, but rather a gentle, settled soul, that the guys can go to for guidance and advice. I think it was Jimin or Jungkook that once said, that Namjoon knows things that nobody else knows, but doesn't know things everyone knows. The members take care of him, just as much as he takes care of them. Jin was doing everything he could, as the oldest, to not take any authority away from Namjoon, since age is so important in Korea and when the boys struggled, Jin supported them quietly and subtly, as the oldest. SUGA and Namjoon clashed often in the beginning, with SUGA openly admitting, that he saw Joon as a rival and badly wanted to beat him in a rap battle (since Namjoon was already famous in the scene, when SUGA came to Seoul) Now, they have been best friends for ten years and they know each other the best. The line in Spring Day "You know it all, you're my best friend" Namjoon wrote about Yoongi. J-hope and Namjoon are the same age and can relate to each other in a lot of ways. J-hope, as dance leader, has also taken on a lot of responsibilities when it comes to performances, which lessened Namjoon's load a lot (he once said, that if he would have to give the leader position to anyone, it would be J-hope). Jimin is a caring soul and super affectionate, where Namjoon is usually reserved. They bring out the affectionate or serious sides in each other. When Jimin was working on "Promise" he went to Namjoon for help and guidance and we even saw a clip of them in Joon's hotel room, where they worked on the lyrics together. Jimin usually uses their size difference, to get a hug in, when Namjoon is not necessarily one to initiate physical contact (I find that so endearing) V is a true RM fanboy. He's a fan of all the rappers, if I'm honest. Just seeing the recent footage of him fanboying and hugging and kissing Namjoon, after the UGH performance was so sweet. Tae seeks validation from Namjoon the most, it feels like. Tae used to get up to all kinds of shenanigans, which is why the "father of BTS" dynamic is probably strongest in Joon's relationship with Tae. Jungkook is a special case. We all know that JK only joined BigHit because of Joon. He saw a video of Namjoon and thought, "Wow, I want to do what he does. I want to be in the same company as this guy". He even had a little crush (his words, not mine). Jungkook looks up to Namjoon the most, calling him his first and last role model. JK is Namjoon's talented, golden baby, which is why he named him "Golden maknae". Their dynamics are different, but they all have something in common: they all respect and trust Namjoon unconditionally. When they did a hidden camera prank on Joon and Bang PD asked, if Joon wanted to do BTS or a solo career, he didn't hesitate to pick BTS. It was a no-brainer decision. Mr. Bang bet his company, his career and his money on Namjoon. The pressure to succeed, to make the dreams of not only six other guys, but the company and it's staff members come true, was a lot to put on a 16-year old underground rapper. But he rose to the occasion. With his leadership skills, intelligence, but also empathy and emotional intelligence, he lead those six men to the top of the world. If that doesn't scream best leader, I don't know what does.

He always gets praised for his IQ but it's his EQ that makes him an exceptional leader. He gives each member what they need to thrive. Jin needs laughter. Suga needs respect. Hobi needs the space to be a co-leader. Jimin needs his ego tended to (both stroked and smacked). Taehyung needs to be babied and loved. Jungkook needs a father figure.

A lot of people would really highlight his IQ of 148 but some of them don't realize that his emotional intelligence is just as high if not more. If you look closer, he always looks out for other members and the people around him in a subtle way. He is very empathic towards other people. 1 incident that strikes me the most about "Daddy RM" (of BTS) was the way he handled the argument between Taehyung & Jin few mins.before they're going on stage. Then they gathered everyone and had a heart to heart talk, then later resolved it. Kim Namjoon is such a wonderful inspiration. He's super smart but he remains so humble at the same time. There are videos where he helps the other BTS members with their English but he always tries to make a positive comment on how well they tried. I have so much respect for him from the beginning, how much responsibility was on his shoulder when they just started, how he hid all the English hate comments from the other members so they don't discourage by them, how patient he is, everything about him is wonderful. It was RM who got my attention when I came across an interview on youtube. I was hanging on to his every word and I wanted to know more about them. #REALONE RM is seriously the best human being I have ever gotten to know. The way he has carried himself all these years is amazing. Some self-appointed leaders gain a following by empty promises and by promoting themselves. Whereas, leaders like RM, come about because there was a need for somone to step up that carried alot of import to a select few at the time and was relatively insignificant to the world...And when asked, Namjoon said, "Yes, I will" despite not knowing exactly what all would fall on his shoulders in the future. He hasn't given up despite the exponential growth and overwhelming pressure and load that has followed. One of the things I love is how when BTS has come to the States, during their last two tours, when they're doing their introductions, ARMY as a whole decided to cheer for Namjoon the loudest and longest because it's really what he deserves. At first he was confused but then he seemed to embrace it. I hope he realized how loved he is by the whole fandom and that he really truly deserves stadium after stadium full of people cheering for him. I love how protective Namjoon is over the members. I remember a clip (and pls, sm1, share of you know where I can find it again), where BTS were supposed to be on this Korean interview, where part of the interview bit is that the reporters would "barge in" on the members in a candid moment (like during their practice session). But I think either sm1 forgot to inform the members or the members didn't recognize the reporters bc when the reporters entered where BTS was practicing, the members were looking at the cameras awkwardly and Joon went in front of the others to block the reporters, saying that this was a private room and they weren't allowed in and needed to leave. I remember how adamant but really polite he was abt it and how he tried to make sure the reporters wouldn't get near the other members. It was cleared up later and they had the interview as planned, and I was impressed at how he handled the situation. #REALONE

I always think of RM as being older because of his maturity and position as leader so it's refreshing to see him goof off and when he does funny things it's then that I remember that he's actually 4th youngest in the group and is the maknae of hyung line

RM is literally the best leader and deserves to get so much love, He's connected the members each in some way. He's the backbone, there is a reason for each member that is really significant. He was the first member of BTS, he's been here literally since day one. He was the reason as to why Jungkook choose BIGHIT even though he could've choose a bigger and more well-known company. He's one of the reasons that Jhope stayed. Jhope was going to quit, but RM talked to Jhope and went to the company and literally said that they couldn't do this without Jhope, he convinced both the staff and Jhope himself that they couldn't do this without him. He has to sacrifice so much in order to be the leader. I remember one time they were reading a whole bunch of comments, but there were some harsh comments, a lot of rude comments but they were in English. So, when the boys asked RM what the comments said, instead of telling them what it actually said he lied to them and told them that it said something nice. He protected them, of course he knew what it actually said because it was in English, but he didn't want to hurt the other members feelings, so he told them something different. Or when they played a prank on him, and BangPD was trying to see whether or not RM wanted to go solo, and when PD asked him if he wanted to go solo or stay with BTS, he without a thought instantly said that "He wanted to stay with BTS". He is such a beautiful soul, and deserves to much love. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOON!

RM's a delightful person and very inspiring to me, he just really seems to work hard and feel grateful for what they have. I still remember him saying, "Use me, use BTS to learn to love yourself," and since loving myself is something I've been working on, it meant a lot. This video was adorable and I love your reactions. Also, I was eating while watching this video and I should've known better, because the ending made me nearly choke, I was NOT expecting what AJJ said and my god, thank you that was hilarious.
