Jhope's CNS is a remake of 2006 release. This song is special to him because he used to dance to this.when he was young , and helped shape him as a dancer. He also made sure that the original singer was credited and Biana Bonnie received 2.7 million USD for him to remake the song. He paid such a big amount to remake this song that was released for free

Looks like I have to explain some of this for you guys. Okay, the original song Chicken Noodle Soup was done in 2006 by Young B and DJ Webstar. She wrote it about her home which was NYC and how that was a cheap meal that you ate in hard times. Hobi paid Young B for the song because it connected him to his "home" which was dancing when he was younger. So that's why his verse was about dance and his crew Neuron. It's why there were so many dancers and they were given time to shine at the end of the video. Becky G's part was about HER home which was being a Mexicano rapper/singer in Inglewood so that's where the car stuff comes from. She grew up with the suped up cars and lo-riders. So Joel is correct, it is all about your "home" and showing that to us.

Having three languages in this video is one of its best qualities. Becky G and hobi are still friends - she guested on it for hobi’s (EPIC!!!) Lollapalooza performance. Also, j-hope made sure the dancers were ALL listed in the credits. They come LA-based studio, THE LAB. The same studio is often used as backup dancers for various BTS live performances and concerts, as well as in the “ON” Kinetic Music Manifesto MV.

The original track was a social commentary on life in the poor areas of Harlem and how kids were left unsupervised after school (latch key kids, community center kids, boys and girls clubs kids, etc) due to the fact that the parents or guardians had to work long hours just to make ends meet and how chicken noodle soup and soda were easy and inexpensive food that the kids make themselves. Also, the let it rain and clear it out refers to how the most popular hangouts for these kids was the basketball courts....thus let it rain--keep shooting the ball-and clear it out-rebound and clear the ball back to the other side of the court.

Just wanted to add that the chicken car was serendipitously provided by the director of the MV. LOL.

As other have explained it well...i won't again. But this song definitely not a chaos. Rather three languages put together nicely paying homage to their roots. You could have done little research before listening.

Even if you don't know the original Chicken Noodle Soup, most people around the world who grew up less privileged has this dish as a staple of their lives whether their parents/grandparents made it on the cheap or you ordered it from your local asian restaurant.

Also, not a huge fan of the "it sounds like 3 songs put together" criticism, that's what people said about Bohemian Rhapsody (Not claiming that this is as good as that, but as a criticism itself it just makes me roll my eyes because most of us really enjoyed CNS even on first listen and didn't feel that way about it.)

Chicken Noodle Soup" is a song by South Korean rapper J-Hope of BTS featuring American singer Becky G. It was released through Big Hit Entertainment on September 27, 2019.[1] The song samples DJ Webstar and rapper Young B's song of the same name, featuring the Voice of Harlem from Webstar's 2006 album Webstar Presents: Caught in the Web.[2] J Hope paid 2.7 million for the rights to the song.

Kind was about loving your mom’s chicken noodle soup. Haha. Just a fun song about home. Everywhere in the world has their version of a chicken noodle soup if you think about it. I love they have three languages. That this can reach more communities through language and dance. BTS does a version of this, filling in for Becky G. That’s a fun show.

A group of American writers wrote this, not BTS...nothing to do with Korean culture. JHope has loved it for so long he bought the rights.
