Jhope and Army connection was what impressed me. Both getting hyped by the other.

For me two things that hit me the most is how he seems to be so at home on stage you don't even notice that he can't hear himself he's having technical difficulties because of the support is receiving you just see sunshine I think it has to do with his energy and his something aura maybe? Also I noticed army how determined they were to make him feel our love. Glad you're feeling better😁💜

Army has done such an amazing job of letting the boys know how much we miss them while they have been gone and I cant wait for the other boys to experience it in person like Jin and J hope have been able to experience it after their returns from the military at the concerts ! 💜💜

Yes I definitely think he sang Mic Drop as a tribute to his boys. I also think that with all the things going on since they went to serve, it was a reminder to the haters that they can’t be broken. They are the kings and one by one they are coming back and when they are seven once more it will be one for the history books. The Kings with their Army will dominate the music industry. Seven=One 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I didnt see it this way before but it makes so much sense ! so many haters have tried so hard during this time to attack them and J Hope had to send a reminder to them that they are not worries or afraid ! 😈💜

“When MIC DROP first came out, I knew right away “THIS IS MY SONG”.” (j-hope, Interview in the book Idols On The Stage) That’s most likely reason why he chose MIC DROP. It’s a song that has been widely associated to him and for good reason. RM openly gave him credit for the creation and the success of the song on VLive, called him “the hero of MIC DROP”. The members have said similar things. Hobi wrote the whole opening rap (his verse and Suga’s) and he set the tone for the rest of the song (the rest of the lyrics were written based on his rap). Apart from that, he influenced the performance a lot and, as RM said on VLive, he “changed the entire game of MIC DROP”. So it’s pretty much HIS song as well as a group song. So if he was looking for a group song to connect with a European audience since he hasn’t performed solo there before, this was the clear choice. More importantly, Hobi said in his Weverse live after the Gala that the songs were a “spoiler” for his tour, which could mean that these are songs or a sequence of songs he will perform during his tour. He didn’t mention he was paying tribute to the group, or mentioned anything similar during his Weverse live when he talked about the songs and the show. As much as he loves his members, it’s important to go by his words only and to avoid speculating too much (like saying he would prefer to be singing with he group or that he’s responding to the media or stuff like that). For example, people speculated he was paying tribute to the group when he sang Dynamite at Lollapalooza, and it turned out the reason was the staff suggested he sang a song in English since all his songs were in Korean 😅 so he did a remix version and changed the choreo to make it his own because he wanted it to be his own show with his own music as much as possible (all of this is in his documentary “j-hope in the box”). As for what you mentioned that he would prefer to be performing with his group than solo, I think that we should be careful with saying that as well. Hobi has expressed he believes in the harmony and balance between the group and their individuality (most recently in his Weverse interview in which he expressed he hopes bts achieves this balance even when they return as a group). He has said he had always wanted to write his own music and perform on his own and he’s clearly enjoying his time right now. He’s enjoying his solo work, as he will enjoy being the group when they’re back (and will most likely continue doing solo stuff then too). He has never expresses he prefers one over the other, so let’s not do that for him 😊

Greetings from Russia ✌️Of course Hobi misses the guys, everything feels different with them 💯 But in my opinion, he chose "mic drop" to perform in connection with what was happening in the media and on the Internet about Suga, and much more. Haters washed the name of BTS as they wanted. And this song will be a response at all times and in all situations.

All the way from Russia!!! That is so cool 😱Well Hello from Texas ! & that is a very good point and I didn't even think of that possibility but that makes a lot of sense as well ! and ending with that iconic mic drop at the end will always be the final blow to all the haters !

A few reasons I can think of for performing mic drop: He wanted to bring bts link He had a major role in the writing of this song as RM informed us. Jhope wrote the lyrics for suga. RM said without him this song would not have been possible. This is a song for haters. A lot has happened in the last 2 years when forces thought in their absence they could finish them off and break up Army. 2 traumatic years. Perhaps he brought it out for them.
