@@lll2282 Well.. maybe wasn't just BigHit decision but also from JK. They know how his voice suits more in specific parts or with the vibe of a song. Also Jk said that he don't go that much to vocal lessons and stuff because he wants to have his own style even if he knows he can do a lot of things with his voice. And about the danger era there's actually a lot of versatility in his voice but I think in the whole dark & wild album excluding the rap parts he still sounds sweet and not deep, definitely a lot of us are surprised and commenting about it because we never heard him like that at this extend before. But you're right, it would be amazing if Jungkook sings a little bit more with a lower register or full voice like in this song.. maybe we will have more of this side in his mixtape who knows 💜

It is the Voice of an Angel, in Human form.... It's like Jungkook intentionally gave us a full view of just how deep he is, via his voice. The depth of tone, the lower register, and the richness in texture was at a whole new level. As I think about him in his place within BTS, he can only go so far vocally, when a song is divided up between the 7. It's simply the nature of their particular style of crafting music for multiple vocalists(and rappers). Having 2 or 3 major lines in a song can only allow for so much artistic expression and freedom. (This isn't a criticism of BTS as I love them! It's an observation of how a song for 7 is created.) Jungkook as an artist (musical and otherwise) is very gifted, and what he Gifted the world with today is simply the tip of the iceberg. It will be amazing to witness how his continued maturation as a singer and song writer progresses in the years to come.

I agree with you 1000% I love when he sings in his lower register but this truly nothing like anything he’s done before. He has strengthened his voice at that deeper end and still hits the powerhouse notes. It was truly spectacular. I was speechless from it too, so I really loved your reaction.

Does anyone else get the feeling he is trying to express how he truly feels, with the lyrics of this song and his relationship with ARMY? After listening to ALL of them express themselves at the end of the PTD On Stage Performance, it was apparent the past two years have been EXTREMELY tough on all of them. I get the sense they are ALL at a breaking point and are struggling with how to face the INEVITABLE without disappointing ARMY who helped them get to where they are today! It's like being in a relationship! They have reached a point of having the FREEDOM to "Call their Own Shots" as a group and as individuals! Its obvious that JK is slowly shedding his "Wholesome K-POP" image into his true authentic persona! There is ONLY so much PERFORMING the same songs, same routines, doing so many costume & concept changes for close to 10 years that even JIN fell asleep with exhaustion recently "ON STAGE!" The cracks are starting to show and I can ONLY feel sympathy & compassion for ALL of them as "HUMAN BEINGS". That is probably why it hit & felt so differently to you Jose as well as the rest of ARMY!

The texture that his voice had in this cover...it was different than always.., just like you said 'evolution' evolution of his vocals that we're witnessing , like i can't even find the exact words to appreciate the beauty jungkook's voice has.
