The important thing, the intro perform is all about 'Korean traditional Culture' not Japan. The big mask is symbol of lion. 'Idol' lyrics has Korean culture meaning and the music in here is edited with traditional instruments. Anyway Its unbelievable they can sing while dancing like that. The production you've watched after Airplane pt2. was part of Korean Tradition and Culture. Those things you were asking are lions (Korean lion dance)If you noticed the music in Idol you will hear some background live playing korean traditional instruments which added more festivity atmosphere in their performance. The solo that was performed by the 3J was also part of Korean traditional dance. 3J are BTS dance lines Jimin & Jhope (main dancers) Jungkook(lead dancer) Jhope- traditional drum dance Jimin- traditional fan dance Jungkook- traditional mask dance. Jimin even received an award from the cultural conservation society for his epic fan dance. To add on, what they're also wearing is called "hanbok" a traditional korean attire being used in some festivals and ceremonies.

BTS and I, we're Korean. Not Japanese. Korea is significantly different from Japan in culture, langauge,,,
@lit7215 жыл бұрын
0앨리스 Lmfao girl you know that isn’t true. Tell me one country that is more similar to Korea than Japan. Korean and Japanese culture almost all of it came from China. You guys used Hanja till the 50s 💀(Japan still uses many Chinese characters). There are so many words that sound the same between the two languages. Age hierarchy /bowing is a big part of both. Not losing face, working extremely hard, and Confucius values exist in both. Sushi/kimbap, noodles/ramen. Even in the MMA performance, drums and fans are a big part of Japanese culture. As well as the lion originated from Chinese dragons. You koreans always act like you’re so different from Japan or China, it’s all Oriental culture. Maybe you’ll realize how similar you guys are when you live in a foreign country. People all view you as Asian.
@jesusyejin5 жыл бұрын
@LIT Your comments can be summed up by saying that you have no idea about East Asian history. I admit that people like you(who don't know much about the East)can see Japan and Korea as similar. But if I repeat your comment with a slight change, it's the same thing as saying that France and Italy are the same. On the macro level, Japan, Korea, and China belong to East Asia, so they have a similar culture because of their active exchange. But if you take a closer look, you will see that the three countries have different cultural identities. We use different language, history, and so on. And I want to tell you to be careful in the future, especially when talking about the relationship between Japan and Korea. It has not been 100 years since Korea was liberated from Japanese colonial rule. And Japan is not apologizing or making any compensation for it. There is a big movement in Korea not to buy Japanese goods even now, due to Japan's rude attitude. So to most Koreans, there are no more ignorant words than to say that Japan and Korea are almost alike. As a Korean, I wanted the world to know more about our precious traditional culture, which was protected from Japan's persistent oppression, and thankfully BTS portrayed it beautifully with music. So I recommend you to study more about Eastern history.

Lol when you guys cashed those caterpillars reminded me of a madrigal dinner I went to where the entire production the characters were looking for a dragon. Then a beautiful Chinese dragon came out and one of the girls just went "awww! Look at the puppy!" Sorry if this is random, you guys just made me laugh and it reminded me of that so 😂

First of at 12:06 it is not a bathrobe. It is the Hanbok a Korean traditional attire. 😅👘 Second at a point some people started saying that BTS is so in to the western music industry and not so in to cultural stuff or something similar to that. So in Idol they are promoting amd introducing their culture to not only the fans over there but to the whole world as by now all the fans have watched this performance and know more about their culture too. And those animal dance is called Lion Dance (a bit similar to the dragon dance in Chinese festivals...) When you called the Caterpillars I was like "oh burn....." but thank God you guys didn't drag that joke further because it might be just a fascinating thing for us but that belongs to their culture. 😀💜 And I love your reaction so much.. You nice keep going. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

At the beginning of the performance the spaces they all danced in spelled "Persona". It was a hint to their newest album which is called "Map of the soul: Persona". They are incredibly creative when it comes to these sort of hints and easter eggs and it's like a thing for us ARMY's to discuss all of them and try to figure out what they mean😂
