Depending on who's writing or what programming is used to translate, the he/she issue is a common problem. Hangul doesn't have a specific word for he or she from what I've read. That's why a lot of translations on subtitles for kdramas and movies shift back and forth constantly. It drives me nuts, but that's what I was told.

Jin has always identified as male/a “he” and has made it clear unless he himself changes his mind that will stay that way. He has been flexible with clothing but he will not bow the fashion industry’s reversal of stereotypical roles. Chris should have known Jin’s values, and respected it.
