This absolutely HAS to be the best first watch of this mv I've ever seen, and I've seen a LOT of them!!! Alex, that's the greatest analyzation of it I've heard yet!!! Thank you for putting it on youtube. 13:24 - that's in Exodus (the book of the bible) - lol, my dad used to be a preacher (definitely NOT evangelical - what some would call the opposite of evangelical, but he taught us how to read the bible and made sure we knew all the actual historical realities that went with every book and who wrote each book and who it was written for, etc.)

YESS I absolutely agree with the stories they're referencing is all about persevering and literally fought til their freedom, from a christian here. Legit they always give such great imagery with whatever reference they pick. It was hilarious listening to your storytelling ver. of the bible😂💜 reminded me of sunday school where we just try our best to interpret the stories

Hi, i am back. Good reaction, ty. I am glad u liked this. For choreo this song has the hardest one BTS (방탄소년단) 'ON' Kinetic Manifesto Film : Come Prima. Though RUN BTS choreo is now their hardest. Jimin ult bias, Suga wrecker, OT7. There is a live for this song in NYC not sure if u saw it. Hope u check it out if u did not. It's interesting to see all the versions especially because American artists don't really do this. =0p The performance MV has my fav production. The droid shots are so cool. And yes pls check out the behind the scenes. They have them for all their songs. This song was a collab with an LA dance crew called The Lab & UCLA band. Sienna Lalau from The Lab choreographed this she was 19yo at the time. She has a YT. Her crew won World of Dance season 2. They are great! I listen to techno, pop, R&B, soul, country, etc. They mix the sound and it sounds great. And yeah they all give us good vibes thus we love and support them. So excited for u to see more of BTS. There are a few explanation videos for this one. Yes, lots of movie, book, etc. references. U got a lot of stuff right. I am impressed. 11:55 - It's also a symbol of transformation, and the Map of the Soul album is talking about the process of Jungian individuation, Persona, Ego, Shadow, etc. ON is the story of transformation. With washing one's self clean and bringing up the conch shell, JK was willingly turning to face the "Long Dark Night of the Soul." Biblical correspondence would be either Matthew 4:1-11, or the death and resurrection.

16:27 - All my comments are from a syncretic point of view. I try to take what is useful from everything I see, and right now I'm on a Jungian kick (my bedside book is Man and his Symbols.) So of COURSE Map of the Soul is hitting extra hard for me.

I've seen a Catholic priest do a reaction to this video and he saw more of Jericho in the video than any other story of the bible. He did not catch the part about oppression to freedom. I've also seen people who guessed that the death of the dove in the beginning, especially on a battlefield, is the death of peace. And the return of the dove, along with six others at the end is the return of peace. Also, JK was supposed to be full dead, not just half dead. That's why they had a raven pecking on him, to indicate that he was actually dead. Although that part might not be quite so biblical. Jin supposedly has the power to wind back time, so he might have just turned time back to bring back JK, the dove, and the people killed on the battlefield. That's who that crowd behind them is supposed to be, the people who had died on that battlefield. Also, I don't know if you noticed, but Taehyung was in the classic "Jesus on the cross" pose when he is first shown. Theories upon theories with this MV,. Even the boys weren't sure of the meanings of everything, but I really like your take on it.

The way you explained the idea or the meaning of the song and music videos makes more sense to of being able to understand what they meant and what they were trying to else cause when the first time watch the music video I was like wondering or confused on the whole concept of the music video and the reference that I didn’t even realize or somewhat realize it shows a biblical perspective in which is interesting cause in my religion that I grew up believe in which I still believe in was being Catholic like I sort of in a way I understand the lyrics in the song on what they meant but not the concept of the idea about the music video and this really helped me thank you for clarifying on your clear explanation ❤

I heard people from other religions pick up on parts that fits their religion as well. Which I think is a very BTS thing to do. Weaving many religions together. One of those I know is the drummer boy but I can’t remember now which religion it was or the story. I love your take on it. it was very close to my own. Maybe with a few less f bombs.
