Hi hello I'm new here and I honestly found your channel just today as a reaction was recommended to me by yt lol I'm glad I found it! This is probably gonna be a long comment so I hope you don't mind Since you introduce yourself in your videos, I'm gonna also do it real quick here as you're probably gonna see me often under BTS reactions (I won't always comment this much tho 😆) I'm Kyoko, late 20s, army since 2014 and a metalhead as well (which is basically what brought me here) And after watching all your BTS reactions and reading through comments here, I don't want us to sound like a broken record so I'm not gonna tell you what the song is about and how much it means to us, etc you probably have an idea by now Btw as a side note, I'm not sure if you read it somewhere or not but the members have "roles" (it's not that serious of a title but it's nice to keep in mind) and are part of subunits of roles (we call those "lines"), for instance there's the rap line (the 3 members in this song, RM, Suga and j-hope), the vocal line (Jin, Jimin, V and Jungkook), the dance line (j-hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook) .. etc These are official lines but all 7 can dance incredibly well Okay back to the main point, I'll just go ahead and give you some recommendations about what I think you will enjoy at this phase of discovering them Ps if the song has choreo I'll mark it with cuz sometimes they don't perform all of their songs with choreo so it's good to know beforehand 1. Dionysus!! (Cannot stress this enough) + live version -> metaphores over metaphores, as well as a reflection in a way but you'll get it 2. Mic Drop (the steve aoki remix MV) + live -> if you just want more hiphop + more of choreo where you see all 7 of them, you can start with this one 3. Come Back Home (it's a cover from another korean song but they surely made it their own) + live 4. Strange (by Agust D and RM) I won't spoil this one, it's amazing 5. Fake Love (there's a rock remix too) -> you can view their lyrics about love as relationship-related but it's rarely the case they're usually directed towards themselves, one's self or the fandom, but surely without any lack of poetry and double to triple meanings So even people who can't help but think of a significant other or a person they hold dear, can still relate 6. Baepsae (or Silver Spoon or Crowtit) -> this one will require an explanation video after you react to the song, but trust me you won't regret any of it Just a heads up since you commented on it in your Room Live reaction, every song that you listen to in studio version is actually so much better live, you just gotta find the right videos for the best audio quality, camerawork and such.. the stage is their home! But imo you can always do the lyrical breakdown first (possibly with MV if the song has one) and then do the live version even if the latter doesn't have subs or lyrics, you can just focus on the performance then Oh and btw CC are really important here so thanks for taking care of that in the last video, and if you still wanna pull the lyrics on the side as a whole, better check them on the "Doolset" website, it's our most trusted source Was this somewhat helpful? I hope so I hope you really enjoy! I know it can be a lot but don't feel overwhelmed, just do things at your own pace. It's a journey and I'm glad you chose to be part of it and are very open minded to check their catalog ^_^ I also know you're probably gonna ask us to recommend things again on the next video but I really hope you get through these Do let us know if you need links or if you have any questions. Other than that have a great rest of your day! 💜 (this is our signature emoji)

Thank you for taking time to comment on my video, and introduce yourself. I am cataloging and capturing comments to put on my videos, if there is a link I put it in a playlist called Army Approved BTS links that I will pull from. I'm trying my best to organize it all, but I am going to mess up. I read every comment I get, while I can't reply to every single one, I try to ❤ it so they know I read it. This song was made when the boys were thinking about disbanding. This song is about seperation with anyone. could be your lover or your friend or anyone. RM, in one of his lives, talked about how TEAR had a different meaning for all 3 of them when it comes to goodbyes. For him seperation was the cause of his tears, for suga it was tearing apart and for jhope it was his fear. (You can also see that in the way rm and Suga both pronounces "tear" in different ways in chorus. all 3 of them are expressing different emotions of breaking up in their parts. RM is feeling pain, Suga is feeling anger and jhope is feeling sadness. If we look closely at lyrics you'll realise how RM's verse is whole about how the breakup pains him. Suga's verse is about how he is angry about it that it is tearing him apart and jhope's verse is about how he doesnt want to let go.

This is what Suga said about the song in a docu series: “The lyrics for Tear were written for the members. When I was writing the melody, at the time, we were deeply contemplating whether we should quit or not. When I played the song for the members, we all cried together.” 2017/2018 was a really difficult time for them, they were exploding in international (american) popularity 1000 times more than they had ever expected or been mentally prepared for, and they were all terrified of the pressure and seriously burnt out. They didn’t share their serious consideration of disbanding with the fans until about a year later, when they won Artist of the year in 2018, and Jin shared it publicly in his acceptance speech and they all broke down crying on stage. Maybe one day when you know them better or if you ever come to the point of considering yourself ARMY, you can watch that video too, but just be prepared emotionally please. This song is about those feelings they had. Thankfully they pulled through and found a way to come to terms with the pressure by placing value and importance (and their reason for doing all this) on the other members and the pure relationship with the fans, instead of the (literally) hundreds of awards and cameras. I’m grateful they decided to keep going and talked everything out between the 7 of them - nowadays they seem even closer than before, it’s beautiful to witness.
@monkato48252 жыл бұрын
It blows my mind that had they not gone through that & had each other to hold onto through that time of fear for the future we would not have had the stronger bone to reach the awards, UN, pandemic. Their light at the end of the tunnel came to be blinding fireworks of cascading colors for them & the world. Army or not, no one is deprived of receiving the best they have to offer b/c it is their core to give their best in all they do and 1st is to each other.

It is a known fact that this was written when Bts had a hard time and were thinking about disbanding. Suga told that when he played the song to other members they all cried together. Loved your reaction! So glad you're enjoying yourself as you discover BTS. Every time I hear this song, I think RM owns it -- the pain in his voice and the loathing turned inwards. But then Suga comes in and grabs me with his ability to express his anger instead of letting it just fester unspoken. And then J-Hope (especially in live performances) just rips himself open and gives everything he's got and it's honestly amazing. I was never much of a rap fan before I got into BTS; I just didn't get a lot from it emotionally. But they pushed all the right buttons for me. Never expected that!

But then, I dig deeper into their songs I started to know the translations of the lyrics and I fell more in love with all their music. It has deep meanings and I can feel they speak from their hearts. Not only that, they are using their platform to spread awareness about racisim, discrimination, injustices, bullying, mental health, self love and a lot more thru their music which is a cool thing. Plus knowing that they are all hands-on when it comes to their music. You can see and feel in their songs their personal touch. Spring Day is my fave and it give me high respect to the boys. They all have brilliant minds and I thank them for their music. I'm 45 and listening to BTS songs make me happy and yes it makes me feel good....it also makes me do better and be the best version of me. Thank you BTS and God bless you all.

What makes BTS different is the strong contrast, the rough and raw verses of rap line versus the beautiful melodic melodies of the vocal line. There is not much pop in your music, is more a mix of R&B, electronic, alternative, old school hip hop, etc. I recommend you this live performance, Fire, Silver Spoon and Dope are never missing in their concerts, are iconic songs and you will see a harder side of the guys. They are never as comfortable as they are on stage with ARMY. It’s where they feel at home and with family and can get out of control. This have subtitles. m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJXdiGWip9uEgbs For RM I recomend u, Mono and Moonchild 💜 amazing songs. Thank you for taking the time to meet BTS and listen to them beyond prejudice. First of all, Jhope shined in this song for me. A LIVE PERFORMANCE IS A MUST… This song at first, wasn’t my favorite. However, it changed when I knew the meaning behind this song which made me attached to it (it has a special place on my heart) and why it is so emotional for me. Initially, you might think that it is a scathing song about a break-up and saying goodbye (well, it could be, if you perceive it as that). This song is very emotionally painful¿ for us ARMYS, because it is at this song that the rap line expressed their thoughts about if ever the group disbands. In their latest documentary series, last 2018, the band openly talked about disbanding and they said that this is what gave birth to the song. Beyond the lyrics, each rapper's unique style is showcased and even a few rare vocals from the rappers. I was extremely impressed with this song and felt myself connect with it. J-Hope's end rap and rushed breaths will leave you breathless as the album concludes, since it is the last song from their 2018 album, Love Yourself: Tear. Plus, i love the repetitive wordplay between, tear (like ripped apart), to tear (from when you cry), to fear. 💜

The song Hip Hop Phile from the Dark and Wild ep is a full one Hip Hop history lesson. They paid more respect in that one song than many artists do in their entire careers.

Thank you for continuing to react to BTS! I’ve seen a LOT of KZbin-ers react to this masterpiece of a song. You are the only one who has understood that this song is not about romantic relationships.

I agree, this song is just really well crafted from production to vocals to lyrics and delivery. It's a masterpiece to me and gets better every time, and I appreciate it more the more and more Korean I learn too. :D

Tips for the songs four double reaction :). 2014: Boy in luv 2019: Boy with luv 2016: Save me 2018: I'm fine 2016: Am I wrong 2019: Make it right 2018: Fake love 2019: Heartbeat 2016: Lost 2019: Home 2013: No more dream 2019: Dream glow 2013: N.O 2020: ON (kinetic manifesto version) I am sure, you will enjoy. My favourite is the last combination, It shows growth of their personalities in time. EDITED because of typos.

Great idea! I am kinda curious on why you think N.O and ON shows growth in personalities. Are you talking about looks and clothing or topics? Because I feel like NO and ON have basically the same main theme about not letting the world get to you and to continue on.
@damnpixies2 жыл бұрын
thank you for this comment😳😳😳😳😳 wow. i only know of the parallels (?) of on/ no, boy with luv/ boy in luv -- but there are so many others! and i’m a fan for 3 years … just keep getting surprised by them ❤️❤️❤️❤️
@ipurpleu16682 жыл бұрын
@@damnpixies Some of these are not 'official' parallels. Am I Wrong and Make It Right are not related at all. Am I Wrong is a political statement written by BTS, while Make It Right is a love song mostly by Ed Sheeran, with the rapline writing their verses. Not related at all.. Same with No More Dream and Dream Glow. Not related at all. Also Fake Love and Heartbeat have nothing to do with each other. Lost and Home don't really relate either.
@martinao21662 жыл бұрын
@@ipurpleu1668 I am not good in English to explain it properly. But let's try: N.O. is the song they did in their "teenage" years - fighting against the system, I have very aggressive feeling from this song supported by their styling, choreography, etc.... ON - homage to their career, they matured a lot during the time, lyrics are less aggressive, supporting everybody to stands ground wherever they may be.... And I love how they referenced to N.O. during MMA 2020

Thank you for another sincere reaction! The lyric video wasn't bad, by the way. Another reason why many fans don't like certain channels (that one in particular, by the way) is because they make money from those videos using other people's translations. People should really give you a good link when they recommend songs - there's just so much BTS content on YT, it's really difficult to navigate... If you don't get a link, I suggest looking for a live version with English subtitles the next time. BTS are incredible performers and there are a lot of fan-made edits. Just type in the song title + "live English subs". There are edits for a lot of their songs. Have fun on your journey!

As I've said, Suga is raw and emotional in his lyrics. He doesn't sugarcoat anything. Here are some songs that I personally think have interesting lyrics. * "Fake Love" * "Black Swan". Keep this quote in mind by dancer Martha Graham, “a dancer dies twice - once when they stop dancing, and this first death is the more painful.” * "Blood Sweat & Tears", inspired by the novel "Demian" by Herman Hesse. * "Persona" by RM, "Shadow" by Suga, and "Ego" by J-hope - based on the psychological theories of Carl Jung. * "Ddaeng" by the rap line. This song uses several meanings of the word ddaeng, it's fascinating. For a live performance with subtitles, look up one by Hoseok Aesthetic, then watch the explanation video by DKDKTV. * "Joke" by RM. This MV has detailed subtitles that explains the idioms and word play. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hamwo3WEd7yeqa8

You did this one!! Thank you! This songs is Great example of just how Good all 3 BTSs Rappers are. Although, RM is namely the "main rapper" of the group, all 3 are so good and different from each other that basically all of them could have the main rapper title. They all have their own strong point, wich are different from each other, thats why they work together so well. Just amazing!✋

It's kind of funny (to me at least) how much this song has changed in the way ARMY views it. Before we know that it was written during their darkest moments as a group we used to get all hyped up over it. Now that we know the real meaning we're still in love with TEAR but it holds a more special place in my heart seeing the struggles that are within the lyrics. I also need to give major props to the boys because if you think about it... this was one of their hardest moments but they allowed the song onto the album but then proceeded to do it live over and over. Just reliving those moments of pain, anger and an uncertain future with your beloved ARMY watching you on stage and having no idea how close we came to losing them as a group. TEAR is even better live and I wish I had been able to see this at least once along with the other Love Yourself era songs. Keep diving in deeper and I hope you'll have something that hits straight in the heart because once that happened it was a major turning point in how I viewed them and their music.

Oh please watch the live at Wembley - the emotion from RM, Suga and J-Hope is palpable - kzbin.info/www/bejne/i3XYkn19jspre7M - Suga wrote this song for the rapline when the group was going through a bad period and were thinking of disbanding. The song means a lot to them and it shows in this live performance. It's my favourite BTS song. 💜💜💜

I look forward to more lyric analysis, there's a lot for you to dig into. They (Not sure if it was only the rap line) wrote this song when they were thinking of disbanding. I believe in 2017, due to the pressure of becoming more international artists. When they all listened to it, they cried together.😢☹️ They decided to keep going and focus on Army.🥰💜💫
