I think Joon doesn’t get recognized enough for his singing voice. He does play and joke around a lot and try to sing funny for laughs but when he’s being serious I love his voice.

This is one of my favorite BTS covers primarily because we can hear the rappers sing. I think their low notes on this song provide so much depth & all 7 sound amazing. And yes Tae kills the end.

In the Guide to BTS-The Bangtan 7by Taylor, not sure if you have seen it, showcases each member. You will hear Jin and V sing INSANE solo songs. This cover is beautiful(shocker lol). Great reaction....

I don;t think anyone else ahs covered this song. Coldplay apparently do not as a rule agree to people covering their songs, but they did for BTS. And they liked it - within about an hour of the video's release, they tweeted "Beautiful". And it's not surprising that, after that, when they heard that BTS wanted to collaborate with Coldplay, they did. I suspect they appreciated (as I do) the simple respect BTS showed to Fix You. I love this performance - it's quiet, honest, and very direct and emotional. It shows that everyone in BTS can sing, not just the vocal line, and I always felt the rappers' voices need more recognition. Joonie's is almost never heard apart from rapping - or being deliberately awful. Lovely to hear his vocal quality here. I've seen so many people "covering" epic, anthemic songs, songs which are in their simple purity challenging enough, but they add unnecessary trills and vocal decoration. It very very seldom adds anything to the original - frequently undermines the emotions of the lyrics and melody. I find it self-indulgent and slightly shameful - it displays the cover artists failure to recognise the important elements of the material - and their insensitivity.

I liked your shoutouts to RM's singing voice and the depth it brings. That's true of Suga and JHope as well, as we don't usually get to hear their singing voices in the group performances. In fact, the major reason this cover is so special is the harmonies between the vocal and rap lines.
