​@ For sure, I'm not saying they're being forced to hold back or anything like that! The reality is that pop-oriented songs with more accessible lyrics and sounds generally fit better for group singles, because they appeal to a wider audience. As industry professionals the members know this and make their decisions accordingly. What i'm saying is that a lot of people have only heard BTS' main singles, and therefore have never heard any of rap line's stronger verses, so I hope over time more people get into the albums and solo projects, so they can discover how amazing these guys are :)

Oh BTS has so so so much more OMG! from the most outrageous rap line to the most sensational Vocal line! they have amazing group songs, solo songs, solo albums and colabs. all 7 members are completely different musically but when they come together its greatness. and during solo projects you get to see each members individuality and musical tastes as well

That section started with V @ 5:21 then jumped to Jungkook for the second line @ 5:27 then Jimin and Jin together @ 5:31 BTS are known for their smooth and flawless handoffs, and all four vocalists can hit those high notes, but their voices have very different "colors." You will learn to tell them apart if you dive deeper into BTS. There are four vocalists and three rappers in BTS. Though all the rappers can sing also, they tend to not sing on their group work out of respect for the vocalists. The rappers all sing on their solo work. BS&T is a coming of age story. You picked up on the wings theme in the choreo - this is from the album Wings. The whole album is based on a 1919 novel called Demian by Hermann Hesse, which is German/Swiss existentialist philosophy and Jungian psychological theory delivered in the form of a coming of age novel about a boy named Demian growing up. In this song and MV there is a seduction taking place. The guys are being seduced by the temptations and darkness of the world and within themselves. The MV is packed with visual symbolism and metaphors of innocence and loss of innocence, good and evil and the seeking of knowledge. In order to grow up, one must lose their innocence and become aware that there are shadows and darkness in the world and in themselves. Jin is the main character in the MV, facing this choice to embrace his own duality and the expanded knowledge of the world and himself, or not. In the end he chooses to grow up, and embraces the statue of Abraxis, the god of good and evil combined. Then colors burst forth, symbolizing the expanded knowledge released. Jin reflects (literally in a mirror) on his choice. Above the mirror in German is a quite from Nietzsche which translates "One must have chaos within oneself in order to give birth to the dancing star." Meaning, one must embrace the chaos and the duality in order to become a fully realized person capable of art and creation. Jin's reflection in the mirror is somber, because it is melancholy, though necessary, leaving childhood behind, and his face begins to crack like an egg as his childhood falls away and his adult self is born. The whiplash of going from BS&T to Mic Drop. LOL I love it. That is BTS for you. Their discography is the most diverse I have ever seen. They do everything. 13:36 "I didn't know they could rap like this!" Oh girl, just wait. The 3 guys in the BTS rap line are some of the best rappers in the world. Hands down. You'll see. Check for yourself and see if I'm lying. Bars, multi-lingual wordplay, flows, delivery, emotion, beats. They write, compose and produce their work too. There are 10 solo albums by just the rap line members, soon to be 11 when j-hope's new music drops soon. All the members are very different but all so good. 17:06 Yes, they do bring it, no matter what "it" is. Fake Love is, on it's surface, a song about a toxic relationship. The fake love is from themselves towards another, because they are lying about themselves. This is one of my favorite choreographies. It's puppet based, with many marionette moves, as well as Hear/See/Speak No Evil moves and masking moves and choking moves, all about lying. Notice the hand art at the beginning is the hands of a puppeteer in scale for them to be puppets, as they fan out in silhouette in front of the hands in puppet poses, but the hands are also stylized in the Hear/See/Speak No Evil positions. But like so much of their work, the meanings are layered and nuanced and the songs also tell very personal stories of their own lives. The real meaning of the song is a treatise on the nature of fame and hiding your true self behind a mask. The personal meaning of this song is a message to ARMY, the BTS fanbase. Most of their love songs are actually about or addressing their fans and this is no exception. At this time they were really struggling with their rise to global fame and they even considered disbanding because they were being crushed under the pressure. Several songs came out of that struggle including this one and Outro: Tear. BTS have always been incredibly honest and open with us, but they were not sharing this pain. In some ways they didn't even know how to express what they were feeling. How do you explain being torn apart by your own success? Keeping this to themselves was really hurting them tough. They felt like they were lying to us and hiding their tears behind a smiling mask, and they wanted to tell us. So they wrote this song. At the end of the year when they won Artist of the Year at a major S Korean award show, they came clean about all of it at the podium and all of them were sobbing. They really do love us like family. 17:52 Not CGI, but he did have a safety harness on. BTS are known for their practical effects in MVs. 18:06 That's Jin. Since you enjoy choreography, I highly recommend the dance practices. They have videos of the uninterrupted choreography for nearly all their songs. You can watch the dance practices or dance performance MVs of the songs you have already seen. I also recommend this live performance of Fake Love which has an awesome dance break in the middle. He is a phenomenal dancer. I won't get into super detail about Black Swan, but it's a song about them facing their fear of losing their love for their art. They were feeling very burnt out at the time.

Watching your reaction to these 4 BTS songs reminded me of my own introduction to BTS; surprise at how consistently great each new song I listened to was…even though the songs were completely different in style & vibe. The consistency is in the quality - as you said BTS attack each song with energy and conviction, so much so that they totally own it. The thing with BTS is; you have only seen the tip of the iceberg. Below sea level is a massive discography with literally no skips. A wide range of genres. A mix of rap, hip hop, pop, funk, soul, jazz and much more - you don’t get a chance to get bored with their sound. Wait until you start watching their live performances. This is where they really captured me. I was impressed by their music videos but blown away when I started seeing their live performances. That energy you get from their music videos comes across even more when they are live. Let’s face it - with music videos you can select the perfect take or edit it skilfully. BTS live performances show that the talent you perceived from the music videos isn’t fake…they sound not only just like the studio version but somehow even better. The tight, precise and sharp choreography you saw is replicated live and executed perfectly. BTS don’t need clever editing- they practice hard & long. Other elements of the undersea iceberg- lyrics that are introspective and thought provoking. BTS rapline, comprised of RM, Suga & j-hope, write their own raps which is the foundation of most BTS songs. So in any given song you get 3 different viewpoints on the same topic or theme. Before BTS I wasn’t into rap at all but the BTS rappers have shown me that I didn’t understand how rap can be so much more than I thought. Sure it can be brag fest like what they did in Mic Drop for instance but it can also be more emotive, poetic, lyrical or melodic. Then there’s the personalities of the 7 BTS members…just as irresistible as their music is. Loads of great content awaits you. Fan faves are their self made content: variety shows like Run BTS, travel reality shows like Bon Voyage and In The Soop. Hours of viewing pleasure yours for the asking. I'm so glad you came back to try more! Of course their biggest songs are fun, but they're more popular with the general public, whereas songs like this are often what ARMY go crazy for. Then if you get deep into their albums and lyrics it's an absolute goldmine... and oh boy, if you're impressed by the rap on Mic Drop you haven't heard aaaanything yet. BTS rap line are crazy talented, but they keep things more 'pop' on the singles. For your next reaction I have a few recommendations: 1) A Guide To BTS Members: The Bangtan 7 by Taylor Mari. Only goes up to 2022 but it's a good intro. 2) More BTS music videos like Save Me, Spring Day, Idol, and On Kinetic Manifesto. 3) They have a ton of solo work, and have purely been doing solos for 2 years while the members are in the military. Suggestions for each member: RM -- LOST, Wildflower (or if you're up for something spicy try the live video for Nuts) Suga (aka AGUST D) -- Daechwita, Haegeum j-hope -- Arson, Daydream Jin -- Running Wild, I'll Be There Jimin -- Like Crazy, Who V -- Slow Dancing, Winter Ahead Jungkook -- Standing Next To You (there's a choreo version with Usher!), Seven (there's an explicit version with choreo if you're up for something spicy)

You won’t probs see this, but when Suga says in Mic Drop the one at 11:05 (ur video timeline) he says “I’m sorry mom but ur son’s killing it” His parents never approved of him being a rapper at first they are ok with it now but at the time they didn’t so he was kinda dissing his parents? 😅 The whole purpose of Mic Drop is to diss the people who looked down on them since their debut

The one you mentioned in “Blood Sweat and Tears” is Jimin. The four vocalist sing that last segment. First is V, then Jung Kook (when you said WHOA!), then it was Jin and Jimin. Jimin was singing the really high part. All four vocalist can sing high, but the majority of the time Jimin and sometimes Jin do the highest parts. Jung Kook jokingly complains/blames them for BTS songs being so high. BUT he can sing high as you will discover when you react to “ON Kinetic Manifesto”. Also, when you watch Taylor Mari’s guide you will get to see V singing really high. The one who did the high part at the end of Dynamite was Jung Kook.

So in the mv “Dynamite” the voice you liked was Jimin. In Blood Sweat & Tears I believe that was Jin hitting the high note’s and maybe Jimin but for sure it was Jin. The mv Fake Love none of that is CGI it was all real. You should watch the making of the video and the guy that was dancing at the end matching the shadow was Jimin. He is one of the main dancers and has a background in contemporary dance, hip hop , and pop&lock. Jimin is also the solo dancer in Black Swan. Thank you for reacting to the boy’s. 17:59 the only CGI in Fake Love mv is enhanced fire due to safety reasons (+shadow of tge petals), there was fire on set but they made it bigger with cgi, the falling floor, water and all other sets are practical

RM has a genius level IQ. Lol, I don't! His lyrics can be very deep. Even after a couple years, I still find new info about the messages in this video, usually from the comment section now. I haven't read too many comments, so I don't know if it's been suggested, but you might want to check out their solo work also. All members have charted at least one solo song on one of Billboard's charts...the Hot 100, I think? I believe they are the only group to do this, ever. Not just k-pop. I'll double check my info. If you decide to check out the solos, I'd recommend Still Life by RM, Running Wild by Jin, Daechwita by Agust D (Suga), More by J-Hope, Like Crazy by Jimin, Fri(end)s by V, and Standing Next to You by Jungkook. This will give you an idea of the variety they cover. For me, their solo work has let me appreciate how special their coming together as group is.

A little Easter egg that I find cool is that in the end of the fake love mv when it says save me, that is the song title to one of their songs from a previous album. However, if you flip the save me upside down it actually spells out I’m fine which is a song that’s on the fake love album. I’m fine is a continuation from the song save me :)

For your question during Fake Love, at 17:56 was Jimin, and 18:02 onwards for that line was Jin! Jin's 'fake love' singing is what earned him his nickname of Silver Voice by a member of the Grammy's panel ^^ Jin and Jimin are both incredible vocalists (all of them are), although these two can be easy to confuse in the higher registers for those who can't tell them apart yet (Jin tends to do more of the belting, and filling/piercing adlibs in the back like in Crystal Snow, Dionysus, Dimple, Don't Leave Me etc., while Jimin is usually at the front or harmonising with V or JK). But once you do recognise their voices, they are very distinct and each bring wonderful tones to the group. I hope you continue to enjoy listening to their music, thank you for your reaction!

As far as “ON” is concerned, there are two videos that MUST BE WATCHED. The one that you just watched is THE OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO. It is FANTASTIC, however, it seems to get less watches. Probably due to the fact that it is in COMPETITION with “ON: Kinetic Manifesto”. There is no comparison. EACH IS A PHENOMENAL WORK and should receive same accolades.
