ddaeng is a lyrical masterpiece, even certified korean translators went through hard times trying to translate all the analogies and expressions that are in the lyrics especially because it has a lot of cultural connotations and words that are difficult to understand if you're not from korea. Also fun fact the word ddaeng can mean various things and in RM's part he uses seven different definitions of the word ddaeng.

I know you started off knowing RM as Rap Monster but he changed his stage name to RM which he decided to be the initials as Real Me. As he grew older and they became more successful, he felt like he outgrew his name Rap Monster.

Ddaeng, is a song to their haters, and in Joon's part, he's recapping how they used to be treated because people thought they were small, but NOW those same people are tripping over their tongues (hence the stuttering verses), apologizing that they can't speak well, trying to get in with them. You really should watch Ddeang Explained by A Korean, it will help you truly enjoy just how deep this song goes, and just what masters of wordplay these boys really are. I enjoyed your reaction. i would recommend watching ddaeng explained by a korean, but the entire song is a message to haters- a lot of people said that they would becoming westernized because of their growing fame in the west, so they made the song with a korean style beat and performed the song in traditional hanboks. the stuttering part of joon's verse is him mocking people who looked down on them before they made it big, and who now try to act all friendly with them

There's a whole video that explains what this song is about and there's also a video in which bighit released when the Rapline (Suga, RM and Jhope) are actually working on this song at one of their studio. AND there's also the live version.on this. As well as that another live ver. They performed this again during their anniversary this year and they made a twist to it, they made the Vocal Line Rap onto this song and Guess what, the vocal Line (V, Jimin, Jin and Jungkook) nailed it. DDAENG actually is the rapline gift for us armys on their anniversary. Theres a lot of wordplay on the song that even our Korean translator got a hard times to translate. As others have said you really should react to or watch 'Ddaeng Explained by a Korean' By DKDKTV. There's so much context that you wouldn't get unless you know the culture. So I highly recommend watching that first so you get the meaning- I will say this song is lyrically amazing. Also you should see the Cypher Medley Live stage. To really get a better grip of the rap line, these guys excell at performing and you definitely have to watch some live stages for other songs too. I recommend for BTS as a group you also react to the 'Come back Home' live performance and I think there's an 'explained' for that song too but I can't remember. 1 - Ddaeng Explained by a Korean by DKDKTV 2 - 2017 BTS Memories Cypher Medley (JHope's verse from 1, Suga's from 2, RM's from 3 and then all of Cypher 4) 3 - Outro Tear live performance 4 - JHope Boy Meets Evil - it's a short song/video, but you get to see him dance to his own rapping and it's really good 5 - For R&B I would definitely recommend Singularity. It is sung by V the member with the deepest singing voice of the 4 vocalists in the group. 6 - I also highly recommend the BTS song House of Cards sung by the 4 vocalists. I would recommend more if I knew your taste better, but that's it for now.

Dude, I'm loving your reactions! And yes the rap line is LIT af, but y'all need to react to B.T.S.!!! The vocal line is hella dope too, and when you put all 7 guys together - they make MAGIC!!! I would recommend Blood Sweat and Tears, Fake Love, Idol, DNA, Boy with Luv, and then their early stuff like No More Dream, We are Bulletproof Pt 2, Dope, Boy in Love, Danger, War of Hormone. There's a deep story line that runs through a lot of their videos so brace yourself for commenters to fill you in on this as you go along. Some of their hella awesome fun songs are Baepsae, Spine Breaker, Anpanman, Go Go - these are best viewed as comeback shows live, except Spine Breaker which BTS filmed a video for themselves in their hotel room lol. All these songs have meaning and some of them have explanation videos that will reveal the genius behind the lyrics so I recommend you watch those even if you don't react to everything. Oh right, and don't forget all the solo stuff - they ALL have solo songs. I have yet to find a song by them that I don't like and that has never happened with any artist I've ever listened to. I loved it when you said you like them all equally! For some reasons some reactors think they need to rate them. But being in BTS isn't a competition, all members have their individual styles and they all bring their unique colours to the band. By the way, people have probably told you already that there is a very good video that explains the meaning of Ddaeng ('explained by a Korean'). It's actually a good idea to look for such fan-made videos for most of their songs/videos because they are so complex. You will realize that once you start watching their actual group music videos.
