Thank you everyone for your comments! I'm relieved to know that I'm not the only one who experienced what I experienced. Ticketmaster really needs to stop with the platinum pricing, which was even more expensive than floor VIP soundcheck seats! Now I'm just hoping new shows are added 💜

@@gurlwithluv Honestly, it was a blur but it didn't seem as long as my past ticketing experiences (and I lived through the most recent Taylor Swift bloodbath). My confirmation email came at 3:11 pm!

I was stalking the TM site for an hour before the sale began. I refreshed my page and got a queue ID 30 mins before. Then when 3pm hit, it said 139 people ahead and then 38. I started tearing up because this never happens to me. I usually never even get a code. I was able to checkout within 3-4 mins. I’m still in disbelief. I’ll finally get to see one of them. I love Jimin but I have this soft spot for Yoongi. Ugh I just love them all so much and I’m grateful.

I had the same experience as you did. And the platinum tickets were a joke. Ticketmaster should get in trouble for doing that during a presale. It's one thing to let scalpers resell them on your site, and it's another Ticketmaster to do it themselves. There was nothing special about those tickets. I literally watched the ticket prices go up as I was trying to get tickets. VIP's were 500 and had soundcheck and benefits. Platinum tickets had nothing extra, it was just price gouging. I hate ticketmaster. I won't be going either. It was like that for all the venues.

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU!!! For the record, when I got tickets for BTS in LA and Vegas during ARMY member presale, I didn't recall seeing platinum ticketing. The prices were exactly what HYBE set. I don't know what changed between then and now.

It wasn't until after the tickets were sold out and the scalpers were posting that the prices were higher. this is a new practice that Ticketmaster is doing. and I'm wondering if this is the same thing that Taylor Swift fans experienced with the ticket issues for her last tour.

I was so shocked by this! It’s my first time buying tickets and I had no idea why the prices were jumping up. I got in 13mins after for both NY shows and everything was basically gone. Thankfully my friend got in way earlier and got us tickets. I tried to get another day and was so confused by the price. So disgusting on Ticketmaster’s part. I’m sorry you weren’t able to get tickets.

so sorry you couldn’t get tickets! 😣 ticketmaster is the worst. personally it was my first ever experience buying tickets with ticketmaster and watched a bunch of videos (lots of yours) and tutorials to really understand it but it seems no one can at this point. i was lucky enough to get one for a good price in the 200s and the advice i saw on twitter after the sale for east coast went live was to uncheck the platinum prices boxes when putting your code in, so i did and idk if that helped or not. everything was happening so fast tho, like blue dots disappearing so quickly i clicked on a couple and they were gone by the time it finished loading. hopefully there is still a way you can attend and see yoongi!

I think it was by the pure grace of God that I was able to get tickets for May 3rd for my cousin and I. I finished buying my tickets 3:12pm local venue time yesterday... can't believe this happened to people, woow

It was a miracle that I got 4 tickets for a really reasonable price. ($90 ea. in the 200s) My sister and I both got codes, she got in after about 7 minutes and it was total chaos with the tickets disappearing and reappearing. After several tries the purchase finally went through. By the time my account got in, maybe 15 minutes later everything was basically gone or $900. So sad...you handled it much better than I would have. 😭💜

The platinum pricing is literally just ticketmaster to have an excuse to raise the prices that high due to "High Demand". They don't come with anything, it's just an overly priced ticket

In the contract with Hybe, Ticketmaster gets tickets they can sell at market prices. I love BTS. I have seen them 5 times, but even my barricade Soundcheck tickets for MOTS 7 were less than the standing tickets and some of the tickets in the stands. People need to start talking about this on the Lives with the guys. I guarantee Yoongi is not happy with this shit show! But he is more than likely contractually bound for the tour! Ticketmaster says that Hybe sets the price for the tickets, but that they have a number of tickets that they can sell at market prices. Ridiculous. BTS better have a 50 city major stadium tour for their comeback, so ticket prices can remain reasonable.

Its not a bug... you have different tabs open on the same device. So when you refresh, it pulls from another location. People are pulling the tickets as well. Its all about timing on the computer. I didnt want to pay that cost. I had no problem getting tickets..but I didnt want to pay for 1 of the 7 members at that price. One tip, have your account with Ticketmaster with a payment already on your account. It helps with the process. I worked at TM for 7yrs and now I am a web developer so I know the ins and outs of the code and how it works.

I only tried for May 14. I got in around the 20 minute mark. At first, I was clicking on the seats, but the crazy pricesss T.T So, I started clicking on the side options for cheaper seats. Eventually, I got one, but I was trying for 3 for my friends. I can't believe it was $500+ for the 200 sections.

I was able to get my friend and I soundcheck tickets LA day 3 after not getting any for the Rosemont show😭 I basically just kept refreshing the page until I was able to click and buy floor bc by that time almost everything was gone

so I was put on waitlist, so on march 2nd, I just so happen to see a twitter post that Ticketmaster released tickets for the first show of the tour in nyc, so I was like let me try and boom! I got a ticket. it was weird that Ticketmaster did not even email anyone or said hey there are still more tickets.

I didn't get a pre-sale code, but I got tickets. I think this is the only time 3rd party sites we're really useful. They weren't marked up too much from fv. Also, I find that for arenas, if you get in within five minutes, you are good, but 10-15 minutes is when tm starts doing premium seats.

Hey! I am one of the people that managed to get tickets for NY night 2. I also got out of the line 15 minutes later. Everything was grey when I got in, so the only thing that I could grab were separate seats for me and my friend :( they are also almost nosebleeds, but I'm grateful I got tickets.

I got really lucky and was able to get 1 VIP Soundcheck ticket for Day 1 LA (face value)! I was queuing for all the Oakland and LA shows just to try to get something, and it took 20-30 minutes+ until I could actually get into the seating maps so everything was pretty much all cleared out for all shows. I kept clicking the right-hand side menu over and over, toggling back and forth between 1-2 tickets. Tickets would reappear on the right-hand side and eventually I got one that took me to check out. So I guess just don't give up even if it looks like everything is gone. My guess is that people might have released the tickets themselves, they timed out, or they had errors during the payment process so then I was able to get mine. Even the day after, Ticketmaster is releasing tickets, although they are Platinum tickets unfortunately.

my sister got the tickets for us for the show in newark. The tickets came out to like 1,500 for both in total. But she was describing the same stuff that happened to you. Whenever she found a good ticket it would say another fan beat her too it. I think she managed to get one of the last few non platinum (section 20 tickets)

Like you, all the tickets keeps disappearing and when they appear again the price went up to what they called “platinum seats” it’s just TM dynamic pricing at work. Gouging prices when most of the fans starts searching for tickets. So basically TM were scalping their own tickets. I tried for NY/NJ, Chicago and CA. Thankfully was able to get tickets when I got in at the Chicago concert. I was also trying for TXT tickets but the website crash so I can’t even open the website.

Face value means the price that HYBE intended to sell for. I think this Information was released separately. You can prob find it online somewhere. Usually resellers would price the tickets above face value so they can earn some profit. You just have to find a decently priced ticket (there are plenty of reasonable resellers out there). Try to buy through validated sites like Ticketmaster themselves or 3rd party websites like Stubhub or Seatgeak. They offer more protection for the buyer. Good luck!

Yes, I believe all tickets are sold out on Ticketmaster. But you can check if there are resale tickets on there. If not, you can look into 3rd party sites like Stubhub or Seatgeak. Good luck!
