He has a lot of “younger sibling vibe” definitely. For example I am the youngest (of a large family) and their are quite a bit of aspects of myself that I am like him. For example like Jungkook I am easy going and if someone wants to talk series I will or just be silly or play, etc. you kind of just go with the flow. You also are usually okay not being in charge… …at least that is for me, I know that everyone is different but I think their are some similarities for most people that are the youngest…

I remember when they were a lot younger, JK said he likes hanging out with Suga bec they get along very well. Suga takes him out to eat lambskewers and joked about opening a restaurant together 😅 I think of all the members, JK is most similar to Suga in personality - both quiet but open and honest as well. Suga has always been very vocal of his admiration all the time. He mentioned JK in majority of the Suchwita episodes. He always brings him up even with guests who are not bts members. He is a proud hyung. Fun fact: Suga said his dad likes JK and calls him Sundoongie which means pure child. Like a term of endearment. JK can imitate Suga’s dad way of speaking too, it’s so funny and cute 🥰

Yes you are right, Jk has alao said that he likes it when Suga ask him to go out earing and hanging out because Suga knos everything . Jin has always feed him and foolung around with him like 2 kids, but it’s Suga who teach him many wisdons and knowledges. jungkook has been getting so comfortable and confident lately and i'm really proud of him. he's one of the most open idols i've seen and it's crazy to say that now bc a few years ago he used to be the member that rarely posted online and interacted with fans on social media. nowadays his favorite thing is to interact with fans by doing livestreams, commenting on fans' posts on tiktok etc. and overall just being as honest as he can with fans and ppl that support him. i hope one day you get to react to the livestream he did while he was in the UK promoting seven. it's probably one of his most honest lives where he just gets vulnerable about a lot of different things and we get to see his raw thoughts.

Totally agree! I'm so happy he was able to kind of "come out of his shell" and just be himself. It takes a lot of guts and maturity to be able to that especially with the world watching. And he does it so well. I'm so proud of him!

13:15 I think you're exactly right - Jungkook is capital "A" adaptable. I've begun to think that he's a sort of kinesthetic genius. If he can touch/feel/hear ...in any way experience something through his senses, then Jungkook can: 1. replicate it near-instantly - and - 2. methodically & quickly master it. It's as though once he's processed something through his physicality, he can iterate through cycles of visualization--imitation--individuation so rapidly that for the rest of us, it appears that he was just born able to do anything. In reality, I think he does have to work at things & practice, but his pace of learning is accelerated by orders of magnitude. The incredible thing is that he already seems to understand this about himself. When he said that he thinks if he'd met bad people instead of BTS, he would have become bad, I took that as him knowing that he's adaptable - a sponge, in his words. He's seen, first-hand, just how hard BTS members & other Idols practice, so he's developed a well-grounded sense of perspective about himself & his abilities. JK's ability to imitate people so well also seems to stem from his kinesthesia (+ his perfect pitch). The thought has crossed my mind that if he really wants to learn English, he's likely an ideal candidate for some form of tailored full immersion. He's introverted, but his adaptability & facility for slang makes me think that if he spent a month with a bunch of English speaking twenty-somethings who he views as cool, he'd be fully conversant by the end.

i've spoken about Jungkook's kinaesthetic intelligence too! it's interesting how Jungkook is at this extreme end of the spectrum whilst RM is basically at the other extreme end (abstract intelligence). Going by how much Jungkook wants to be better at English, I hope he gets that immersion experience too! I'm sure he'd find it less difficult.

Perfect pitch isn't kinaesthetic. Most people seem to born with it, but lose it at a very early age. Retaining it seems to have a genetic link, though it's also far more common among those who speak a tonal language such as Mandarin. JK is very quick at picking up physical and musical things, but, at the same time, he struggled academically whereas several other members--RM, Jimin, Jin, probably Hobi, seem to have been strong students. It's interesting, given that he says he can't really hold a conversation in English how very good his American accent is.

@@margaretyoung1576 I didn't write that pitch is related to kinesthesia. I wrote, "JK's ability to imitate people so well also seems to stem from his kinesthesia (+ his perfect pitch)." In other words, that his excellent echolalia is, in my view, a function of his kinesthetic sense PLUS his pitch. JK has also exhibited echopraxis quite frequently, which, together with his echolalia, could be an indication of autism, but that's a (potentially fraught), discussion for another day.

In one of the talk show, Suga said Jungkook is one talented singer, one of a kind. The talk show host responded, “…a born singer.” I couldn’t agree more! Suga & Jungkook are more than a “big brother/little brother” relationship, there is deep love, admiration and appreciation for each other.

i loved every single observation u made here about Jungkook. U just get it. He's not really a mix of his 6 hyungs' personalities, it's more that he absorbs all of their nuggets of wisdom. Jungkook is very much his own person and has a very distinct personality of his own for sure! Him sliding between performance n chilling shows performance is intrinsically just a part of him. jungkook having this lighthearted energy and not overthinking or having an intricate plan beforehand. jungkook being comfortable being honest, cheeky and his own quirky self is what makes him so cool. jungkook is so hungry to learn and wants to really become someone he truly can say 'u're the man!' but also believes he has the ability to get there. jungkook isn't someone who pretends to have all his ducks in a row and that's what makes him so relatable and loved. him being that person that his bts brothers but also everyone else loves to hang out around becos he is so well-rounded in terms of vibing with someone -- a good listener, but also very open in sharing honestly, able to laugh at himself but also tease others, but also able to talk deeply, etc etc. haha and i agree about ur comments on jungkook and yoongi's dynamic! JK brings out the little kid in yoongi, and yoongi sees jungkook as 'wow! superstarrrr' but also 'that's my lil bro!' Max, i think u're honestly so great at reading him in this video and i'm glad to see u got to know more of jungkook's essence through this suchwita episode!

Suga and JK together are something special. Suga is such a loving guy - people don't give him enough credit for all the love he shows and how much he wants to take care of his brothers (and others). JK, meanwhile, is so happy when he spends time with his brothers and his friends, and it goes with his mostly sunny personality. They're wonderful together, honestly. They bring out the happiness in each other.

This is the most fun and endearing episode of Suchwita. I was smiling and laughing from start to finish. I didn't want it to end actually. I want to see more of them talking and juat hanging out. Jungkook is really fun to watch and very relatable, he is so open, so honest and very comfortable in himself that is why his livesteams are the most awaited and watched. Imagine 16.3 million people watched the lighted candle for more than 20 mins as he sleeps in one of his lives. No one left the stream but the company had to remotely end the live. That was epic! He has so many livestreams that he did random things which are really Jungkook things. We love him so much.

This was such an interesting interview between my bias (Yoongi) and wrecker (JK). Jk has such a unique personality. It is just fun to hang with him even as ARMY when he does a live. It doesn't feel any different to him being interviewed here. He's such an open person. It's always interesting hearing your takes but it's also fun for army to just watch someone else get joy out of the guys. When they smile, we smile. Sure. But we also smile when they make someone else smile. Weird huh? It's just nice to see them be appreciated and loved when you've seen them be ignored overlooked or insulted for years. It makes you proud like a parent.

In the past these two both didn't actually talk all that much (not with each other - just in general). They both tend to say what they mean and then they're done 😂 I think they'd both say they're not good at small talk, if you asked. But they're clearly both great conversationalists. Yoongi knows him well enough to give him something to do while they talked, something to eat, and a microphone. He doesn't do as well if you ask him to sit still and talk. I cracked up when i saw that. I'd do the same thing if I wanted to interview Jungkook. My heart melted at Yoongi's obvious pride in JK and the openness of the love on his face. I really do love how comfortable he is being affectionate, these days. While Jungkook has been growing up, Suga has been opening up. And I'm glad you watched the full noraebang clip - it's not just that he's having fun, the staff are clearly enjoying it too, which makes me really happy. He's a goof and they're loving him. 💜 Oh! You always give me too much to say. You talked about Jungkook being completely unashamed of being quirky and that's what makes him cool. It's true for V too, and you're so right. I got goosebumps when you said something about JK being present and being a good conversationalist because I have observed the same thing. I work in customer service and I have been coaching people for seven years, and JK's really present in the conversation. He's acknowledging everything Yoongi is saying. Just goes to show how sweet and kind he is, in general, too.

JK is DETERMINED. He was determined to audition at 13, and even when he was rejected many times he still attended audition after audition (that rejection made him a little shy, though, but his hyungs loved him so much). He knew his goals early on - that's documented in Rise of Bangtan. Everything he does is based on talentt, talented, even in other ways, like drawing. But he wants to be a pop star, to be perfect in what he puts out. He'll work for it, hours and hours, for ARMY and everyone else.

This also shows how humble Yoongi is. To put JK on the pedestal, call him a genius and verbally and visually admire him. This from someone who is not only a superstar himself, but just finished a successful sold out world tour and could have sold out stadiums if he believed in his own stardom. Who has written and produced groundbreaking music and gave his vision for epic music videos. And was one of the key members who worked all nighters to produce music for BTS in their early days . The work this man put in for BTS is out of this world. I loved this show with JK and Yoongi. I agree about JK. He was also very fun to watch.

Loved this. Suga is my bias. If you haven't had a chance to watch his d-day concert it is amazing. Enjoy bts more put the entire show with english subtitles on her channel. You should check it out. Interestingly, jk performed burn it with him in the first of his last three shows and did an amazing job. However, he messed up on the lyrics and went home and turned on a live on weverse and was pretty hard on himself for the first hour and begged suga to let him have a do-over. He said he wouldn't have cared as much if it was his concert but really didn't want to give anything but his best for yoongi. He admires yoongi as much as yoongi admires him. After the first d-day concert he attended with Tae and jimin he commented in a live on how cool he thought suga was and how amazing the concett was. The love, respect, and admiration is mutual. ❤❤❤

Jk was the one member he couldn’t scold. When the group play games or sports Suga let Jk 2nd chance. Jk started training at 13 y/o. So he knew how stressed n confused Jk was. So he’s tender with him. Jk was the only one who had the password for his studio. Sometimes Suga looked at cute JK n Suga would giggle or make a delighted noise at JK’s cuteness.

JK has said he goes with his gut, his intuition, for most decision-making, rather than mentally thinking & planning ahead a lot. Actually, he reminds me of descriptions of people who are called saints and sages-responsive to the inner world, spontaneity, inner joy, inherent goodness, kindheartedness, and a spiritual nature… More right-brain based creative, artistic, emotional, intuitive, imaginative, etc., too? Looking at why I am so drawn to him, there are all these reasons, including ones like empathy, confidence, humility, and listening well you mention here.💜

It's always so interesting to see the unique bonds, dynamics and overall chemistry that exists between each pairing in BTS. Even though Jin is the eldest, his bond with JK often feels like they are peers who are similar in age. I feel the true eldest/youngest vibe with Suga and JK.

Two things Yoongi will always tell people: How long he's known Namjoon, and that Jungkook is a genius. 💜 He is such a proud big brother. I think when he says he has some of each of his hyungs it's not necessarily about personality so much as the values and wisdom and lessons they've taught him through the years. He has his own personality, but they're like that voice in his head, like your parents are for most people. They really raised him in a lot of ways. With so much love too. Jungkook said that he was loud and rushed up and down the corridors when he was at school in Busan but he changed when he came to Seoul. He became diffident and shy around strangers. He’s tested as introverted several times but I think he is growing more outgoing as he matures. Of course he’s completely confident and easy with Yoongi. You’re right that he is his own person but he’s learned his values and how to Interact with others from his band brothers.

Idk just a vibe I’ve gotten from Jungkook’s seven and ck promotions, when he’s telling Yoongi here he wants to be the idol of a century, to see himself as really cool- I wondered if he’s talking about the type of artist that Bowie, Elton John, Sinead have been. You know the musician that can bend norms, open doors, belt a heavy rock song, a soft ballad or fun dance number without it being a massive shock to the fans. Wear androgynous looks with ease. I love the observations you have made. I often read that JK is a reflection of his 6 classmates... they describe him as someone who can't live without them and they take away his own personality. I understand that the bond that unites them is important and surely he will be present throughout his life, but he has grown and developed his character and personality as an individual, just as you describe him. Knowing how to listen and being empathetic is also something that characterizes him and that is something so difficult to find in people, because unlike many people, he does not need to be in control of the moments he shares with his friends/colleagues/siblings. Thank goodness for the 6 hyungs who took care of the young JK and influenced him to be on the good path. Being 13 years old and living with a bunch of strangers there’s so many ways for him to have gone wayward. JK definitely has his very own very strong personality but he also has strong influences from his hyungs. Hobi is my bias, but he'd be too energetic, Jin is my wrecker and same thing. Decided I'd like to spend an hour at a coffee shop with Yoongi to have a deep talk. Then split the rest of the day between RM and JK. JK for the reasons you mention in this vid.

Loved your reaction, as usual! What you said about Suga is so spot on! If you haven't listened to Suga's song "Snooze," you'll definitely want to do that, using a lyrics video. This is a song he said he wrote for younger artists who are struggling like he used to. It's extremely touching. After watching the lyric video, you might like to see him singing it live on the very last day of his worldwide tour, in his solo concert in Seoul. He becomes extremely emotional.

JK is the 'baby' of the group, they all raised him well. He's grown up. They are all proud of him. And yes all of them had a hand in raising JK. Because he was so young when he became a trainee. None of them expected this of JK I bet, knew he would be good, but this greatness, they all take pride in having a part in him. LOL, it's fun to see how involved with the conversation he was, because he was famous for people talking around him and asking him something and JK saying HUH? What? LOL... Well sorry not being rude, but they did live together for like 7 or 8 years, so yes they know each other so well. Yes mentors but they lived together for so long and did everything together. You need to realize this. Again not being rude, but listening to you, it seems you don't realize that they all lived, worked, breathe together for 7 or 8 years. None of them get to comfortable with themselves, they always want to prove themselves.

Max, when you rewatch your first reaction, also consider the time that has passed between the interview you reacted too and this Suchwita episode. And the fact that they were not in Korea, and not just themselves. Yes, I didn't need to point that, but I think that ARMY answered and "guided" you by then because we understood which things would feel different according to the context of that interview. I keep finding interesting and useful what you say for my own conversation skills, I appreciate your knowledge and analyzes a lot.

Love that you analyzed these two. Through the years these two have always seemed to have a mutual admiration and respect for each other. I liked that even though JK was so focused on non-stop eating, you didn't see it as being distracted or distant. I also feel like he takes in everything even if he looks to have his attention on other things. As long as I have watched them I have thought of him as having acquired traits and styles from each but always him still being uniquely himself. I think he definitely took to Yoongi's wisdom and how he says little but when he talks it is always worthwhile. You could see the way JK observed each member as he grew up. His eyes always open and watching each member in how they did things and responded. I think lately he has taken to Jin's philosophy of just enjoying life without much thought. I think he is comfortable in his uniqueness because he was able to see V's uniqueness expressed and it be so well accepted and received by the others and by ARMY. I think his optimism he gets from Jimin. His energy and enthusiasm (probably innate) but a lot of Hobi! And his critique of himself and desire to study and be better from RM. They are both hard on themselves. He lacks long-term focus to finish personal goals, but not professional goals and I think that is just him. His love for ARMY may not be more than the others, but his willingness to put himself out there and spend time with ARMY, be emotional with AMRY has been much more of a JK trait and I think the others admire and respect him for that bond he's developed with ARMY.
