Yeah I relized that. Bts has a lot of beautiful and slow songs the ballads it’s a big genre for them because all of there most meaningful songs and army ones have the ballads feel

Surprisingly, no one in the comments provided the origin of the song yet, so allow me. Truth untold is based on an Italian legend of 'La Cita di smeraldo' estimated to have happened in the 15th or 16th century. This is a story of a man who lived in a castle and kept to himself, while wearing a mask at all times, because he thought himself 'ugly'. He had a tragic upbringing and so he lived isolated and taking care of his beautiful garden as the only source of happiness. One day he saw a woman picking/stealing his flowers and though he was angry at first, he decided to observe her. He eventually found out that she was poor and selling those flowers to earn a living. Soon enough he fell in love with her, tried to keep his flowers in the best shape for her, and decided to create for her a beautiful unique flower (smeraldo, which means emerald - I always imagined it as a blue rose) which she could sell for a lot of money. Unfortunately, she stopped coming before he could finish the flower and he found out she died, before he ever had a chance to speak to her. Thus smeraldo signifies sincerity that could not be delivered or truth that could not be told. It's a great song on its own and makes sense metaphorically, but I think it makes it that more heartbreaking knowing the backstory, and especially of her death. Overall, the song is a great fit on this particular album focusing on the subject of loving yourself before loving others.

BTS have shown us the imaginary flower Smeraldo several times. When it comes out in Tae's Singularity .. First time I screamed. "And then there is the effing Smeraldo!!" (There might have been some other MV's also that I have screamed the very same thing :=( )

They really aren’t afraid to sing about an unhealthy mental state such as this in this song, and it’s very vulnerable and mature. I love these guys. They truly can do it all. Many people are introduced to them through the fun bubblegum hits without knowing their range; this is the kind of stuff from their discography that grabbed me. This and Louder than Bombs.

yes, bts' most popular songs are their light-hearted, bright and fun songs which i obviously love a lot, but they have an enormous depth to the rest of their songs that i wish more of the general public understood. Another song that i think you would enjoy is Outro: Tear. It is a similar song, written by Suga about the period in time when bts was thinking of disbanding, but this one is a rap song. Just so you can see their diversity

I used to think it was kinda crazy how other non-English speaking countries would have huge fan bases of English speaking artists. Now, with BTS, I totally get it. This song is about “La Citta di Smeraldo”. It becomes more meaningful when you understand what they are singing about. This song is about the Smeraldo flower grown for a woman by someone who felt he was too ugly to give it to her in person. This takes place in 16th century Italy. The woman was stealing the flowers in his GARDEN in order to survive. She was poor and sickly, she wears ragged clothing. The man growing the flowers lived as a recluse and all he had were his flowers. He was mad at first, but he observed her from a distance, and followed her into town (wearing a mask and cape) and realized her situation and wanted to help her. He started looking forward to her visits at night and fell in love with her, so he created a beautiful flower for her to sell at a higher price. But she never came back. It talks about sincere love towards someone, but never fully conveyed. He didn’t get a chance to let her know. By the time he finished creating the beautiful flower and was ready to give her, he found out she died. The lyrics changed so many times because they wanted it to stay true to the story but also create something the fans can relate to. Also something the vocal line can sing to. This song is also very hard to sing actually, and the 4 of them did a great job making it sound so beautiful, sad, and full of yearning.

All of their songs have substance and they have so much music you haven’t listened to. Their albums have a story arc and they are philosophical and they are in order. I love BTS. It's so rare to have 7 so talented people in the same band. You can hear at once who's singing, because their voices are so unique. All of them write lyrics, and they are amazing dancers. They put on such a great performance for us. My favourites right now are Louder than bombs, Jamais vu, Dimple, Pied Piper, Silver spoon, Mic Drop, Go go, On. And also Abyss by Jin and Sweet night and Inner child by V. I also love Anpanman, Mikrokosmos, Zero o'clock, Moon, Epiphany, Your eyes tell, Butterfly, Stay, Dis-ease, So what, Let go, Ugh!, Ddaeng, Best of me, Airplane pt2, Blood, sweat and tears, Fake Love, Boy with Love, DNA, Idol. You have already seen Black swan and Magic shop which I also love. Hey, the list just goes on and on and on. You can't go wrong with these guys, they are amazing. The truth untold is such a beautiful song, I got goosebumps the first time I heard it, and cried when I read the lyrics. The language is not a barrier for great music, but I am learning korean with my daughter so that we can understand more of the lyrics and when they're talking. BTS have a great relationship with ARMY. We are bulletproof the eternal is just so heartwarming. Thank you April for all these BTS requests🤗🤗. You are awesome for bringing more attention to those who aren't familiar with BTS to the forefront of how BTS is more than just a kpop band. BTS can do any genre and I wish more non fans look into their music to see and discover how BTS can change their looks like a chameleon to fit the genre of music. Its like BTS has everything in one group. If I wanted to listen to pop rock, hip hop, r&b, funk, rap, etc...I can find it in this one group. No other known musical acts in the world can successfully do so many different genres of music like BTS does so I am not surprised when reactors like Fable is surprised that BTS can perform in different genre of music with lyrical substances included.

I am glad you gave them a chance to show you how diverse their discography is. You might also want to watch "House Of Cards by BTS live version [ENG SUB]". All of the BTS members have solo songs that showcase their beautiful voices and talents. The rappers have trio songs that are amazing. The vocal line as you just witnessed can deliver beautiful ballads. All 7 together, solo, rap line, vocal line, they have amazing talent and passion. They shouldn't be described as a K Pop group because they are so much more than that.

You've barely touched on BTS yet. They are absolutely incredible, their songs, the lyrics of their songs, their choreography, their videos, their live shows, their individual performances & vocals. They are loved so much by their true fans because they really connect with their fans, their love, the vulnerability, they uplift you, they give you strength. And I absolutely hate that term "boy band". These are beautiful young men who sing beautifully together. They are not boys & are not a band. I don't know....that's just me & how I feel.
