Singularity, Serendipity, Epiphany and Euphoria are all written to coexist together and explaining different parts/stages of relationships (not necessarily just with a significant other etc but also with friendships, family and oneself). They are part of the Love Yourself series which is broken up into 3 different albums (serendipity is on “HER”, singularity is on “TEAR” euphoria and epiphany on “ANSWER”) hence why the vibes can be seen as continuous or similar in some aspects musically. Fun Fact : Every Singularity's Live performances was different from one to another cuz V always put something new to his performances, he said that he want fans, who watch this performances will always feel like it's their first time to watch and enjoying it.

RM said that Singularity was made for Taehyung. He saved the song and he can't think of anyone who can sing it better than Tae. He also said on their performance review that during Tae's Singularity the fans are screaming every 5 seconds. He is a genius performer. He knows how to keep the audience attention to his stage. His movements are very subtle yet sends strong message. His gaze, facial expression and just he overall stage presence is insane! This performance is sexy and seductive even if he didn't show any flesh or any suggestive move. Thanks for checking this out!

Singularity Stage mix is another must watch if you get the chance. Personally I think you will see the biggest dichotomy and duality out of all the members in Tae (also you are spot on in the pronunciation of Tae, short for his full name Taehyung) - Between his on stage and off stage persona. On stage normally Tiger Tae rules. He’s fierce, sensual, Taengerous, very seductive, mesmerising, king of facial expressions and charisma etc but outside of performances it’s Teddy Bear Tae that rules. He himself has said his real personality is best reflected in Run BTS (variety show) as on stage he tries very hard to go out of his comfort zone. Off stage Tae is quiet, very sweet and gentle, funny, soft spoken, unique, a very creative thinker, somewhat shy with strangers (but still very friendly to people he wants to get to know.) He’s prone to nerves which he tries to hide but come out esp in speeches in concerts, interviews and award shows. (When he is nervous you can see his fingers shake, and his neck trembles but his face shuts down like a poker face so new ARMY don’t tend to realise.) While he is always beautiful; Most importantly he is super kind and warm hearted, with family being the most important thing to him. You will often also hear members refer to him as pure, free from pollution, innocent (they themselves say not to be confused to mean child-like as he is absolutely not) About his Bear nickname. In Korea he gets called Gomdori - which is a way of saying cute bear. He’s called this by his father, bighit caption writers, media, and the members themselves because of his endearing agyeo (Korean word for cute) habits. The origins of Tae’s Bear nickname is from his Father and Grandma who used to also call him Baby Bear. Hence why Winter Bear was also created. Another popular nickname is TaeTae (pronounced TeTe different from when there is only one Tae) which he has been called since his school days, and not only in captions by editors in all their content but sometimes by members, his friends, but also in Japan it is his official name instead of V, as V is hard to pronounce for Japanese people. He has other super famous nicknames like CGV, which was given widely by fans because he looked unreal like an anime character and CG/ computer generated graphic a lot of the times. I think the fact that he has more than one emoji speaks volumes about his duality. (P.s you will sometimes see Lion instead of tiger in early content just to confuse you more.) Tae can often be the member people misunderstand most when they join the fandom as they often only see him in charismatic performances on stage but his real personality shines off stage, for those who take the time to know him, he really is very lovable, endearing and precious. Which is why you see him being babied so much by the members and management and Run BTS staff and editors. Aside from his multi-talents, it’s his personality that attracts so many fans and give him all his Guinness world records for social media etc and other accolades described by some of the others in the comments. Tae is a big fan of jazz and jazz standards. He listens to Etta James, Chet Baker, Ella Fitzgerald, etc. so this song is in his wheelhouse, even though his voice is versatile in singing other musical genres. Thank you for celebrating his birthday and for always sharing your musical insights!!

also keep in mind with this tour that he performed this within a super long stretch of high tempo songs, which would often leave him completely exhausted! it was the longest stretch any member had to be on stage and every show he would perform this second to last before fake love, and after that he would finally get a breather. makes it all the more impressive that he was able to maintain such control and power within his solo performances

Finally!!! I was forever waiting for your reaction of V. Another thing is that in this tour, V had the toughest set. He was performing 7 or 8 songs with heavy choreography and this as well which was followed by Fake Love (a difficult song). PS. I was actually hoping for them to react to the Singularity performance with blond V because I think it was one of the best. But I'll take this anyway.

To partially answer your band/music question: At this time, BTS was still working with Ghost Band, their house band. The band leader is DOCSKIM, a Korean American who also was a main producer of Jimin's song, "Lie" and RM's song "Wildflower." DOCSKIM is on keys mainly, and my understanding is he would be the most intimately involved with the live arranging and be like a bridge between BTS and Ghost Band members. Nowadays it seems like BTS is branching out to include more American musicians in their live performances, and we haven't gotten a whole lot of backstory on their working relationship, but I know that it involves Direction Music Group.

love how Abby caught that he was dancing to the beat of the instrumental, instead of to the lyrics. It is indeed creative and difficult to sing one thing and dance to another beat at the same time, especially such a fast foot-work heavy choreography like this. Just correcting few things: 1) None of the BTS members model for any brand (tho they did model one time for LV) They are "Brand Ambassador" for one of the high fashion brand Louis Vuitton. Tae doesn't "model" and definitely not for Gucci. He is sometimes just called "Gucci Boy" by armys bcz he wears Gucci too often. 2) "Christmas Tree" is not the most famous Christmas songs EVER. you were so on point with how his dancing had improved - you can really see his growth with the choreography as the tour went on and he performed it more, becoming really confident and comfortable with it. towards the end of the tour, hobi even commented saying that he was so good at the dance that he made it look like a freestyle rather than choreo! definitely deserved becoming an official member of the dance line because of this!

I like the performances where he's in black, he looks like a black swan and his expression are so good!!! The one of him in red too, he expresses the sadness and pain of the song so clearly in his expression!! Obviously every performance is amazing, but idk if it was the quality or what but this one is not my most favorite, wish you had watched the one in him in Black, i think it was the Speak Yourself tour in Seoul the final but not sure!!! I LOVE seeing videos of Tae's performances (haven't been able to see in person yet) as he doesn't just sing or dance to a song but shows he is feeling the song and the listener feels it too. He is so expressive and it always feels like a full body experience when he sings, dances, talks, etc. He is so captivating to me. He is the reason I got into listening to BTS from the 1st time I heard him sing and saw him dance. He's has such a wide and varied taste in music and so many creative outlets. Each V Singularity live performance always has some unique aspect to them. He always tried to give each audience something slightly new. One very unique live performance is from the Seoul concert Oct 2019. I highly recommend it. You will definitely see his growth with his unique interpretation of the song.

Although Singularity is a favorite of mine, I always find myself bemoaning the fact that, it seems that not enough attention was ever given to the live performance of Stigma when V hit those magnificent high notes. His vocal range is so swoon-worthy! *Though definitely not taking anything away from the rest of the vocal line. Oh, who am I kidding, I'm ot7 all the way!💜💜💜

Absolutely love your reactions. You are spot on with Army having heard the songs so many times that it's lovely to hear them through someone else's ears. Taehyung is said, by the other members, to have a natural inborn talent to perform and his stage presence and charisma is second to none. (which is obvious once you watch him perform live a few times.) Many other kpop idols say V is their bias and hope to be able to perform at at least half his level and charisma. Taehyung has the highest viewed individual fan cam views of any male idol, and he isn't even the main vocal or main dancer in BTS. But he is visually captivating in more ways than one. (You all have to watch more of his live performances and fan cams. It's like he takes on a totally different person or persona whatever you want to call it.) This song was the first time Tae had to dance/perform without the other members. He was not officially apart of the dance line, but once BTS's main/long time choreography saw V practice this for the MV, he said V exceeded his expectations and officially gave him a spot in the dance line with J hope, Jimin, and Jk. Taehyung has amazing feet work when he dances and just like Summer noticed, V dances even the details all they way through his hands and fingers and feet and toes. He even dances with his face/facial expressions. He knows how to make his performaces visually interesting and captivating. (The members say it just comes naturally to him because you can't teach that.) Taehyung is definitely 1 of a kind, I mean so are the other members, but V is really his own breed in many ways. FYI, he also knows how to pose and take amazing photos. He really just knows innately how to use his face, expressions, and body language to capture the mood and concept. On top of that he is naturally photogenic. I always think Tyra Banks is somewhere wishing she would have discovered Tae, and got him to try out for America's Next Top Model years back. He has all the qualities when it comes to knowing how to perform/pose/model in the perfect way that ANTM always tried to drill into the contestants, and all that just comes natural for Tae. You all will see once you focus on him and watch him more.

As much as I love singularity, STIGMA is my go to V song! I think Daniel and Gabriel will especially like that one and that one vocal hit kills me every time. You’ll know what I mean when you hear it, it’s unforgettable and incredible. Most ARMY from what I know will use their actual names when talking about them and then switch to stage names when talking to people that don’t know the names yet. Even though that’s his stage name, I’ve heard most Korean people will refuse to use it and use his real name as there is no V in Korean language. He said it stands for Victory in an interview. Suga as well will mostly get Yoongi unless talking to people that only know the stage name. Can’t wait to see where you go next! Hope you had a great Christmas and spending time with your families. I saw someone explain to deaf army’s how bts sounds and they said if bts were a cake V would be the gooey filling between the cake layers or a ganache poured over the top and he sound really warm and fancy but also vintage and I can’t agree more . Tae performed Singularity a lot during their tour. One interesting fact is he always added a small gesture to the performance. So it was not always the 100% same performance. Like a little pinch of sugar to his performance.
