The Billboard Social Artist category wasn't created because of ARMY, but ironically, it was removed because of ARMY. The category was introduced in 2011 and removed without any explanation in 2022. BTS had won the award the final five years by a landslide with no end in sight, and Billboard had subsequently accused the fan base of chart manipulation in other categories. The category was removed the same year BTS would have tied Justin Bieber's record. Coincidence? I think not.

Awards categories getting changed, split up or eliminated after BTS wins them are not rare occurrences so I‘d be surprised if it actually was a coincidence.

in the music video the illustrations show bts' career chronologically, the "sets" copy their mvs starting from the first one for No More Dream until Boy With Luv in 2019 (since WAB The Eternal was released in the next album in 2020). there are also such mvs are We Are Bulletproof, Boy In Luv, Danger, Young Forever, Run, Not Today, Blood Sweat & Tears, Spring Day. it shows how they were struggling in the first years after debut and then running, woking non stop. they actually meet purple lights in the setting of Spring Day mv. they often say we are their flower that brought spring, we were ones who gifted them morning and other poetic confessions haha it's just bangtan style. there are also subtle references to Yoongi's shoulder injury, black ocean on award shows, Born Singer stage, etc. this mv is really precious

Funny anecdote: Around the time the doja cat issue was going on, someone asked jungkook what would happen if all Armys became worms ( yes that legit was the question) .Tho the man was confused, he answered he would collect all the army worms and nurture them. The difference in the approach to fans couldn't be clearer.

The question is actually a fad in SK. Supposedly it is out already again. Le Sserafim was asked the same thing and that is what their maknae answered before answering something sweet, too. Nevermind that BTS members have on rare occasions told fans they are going too far/were sad about some reactions. JK also countered recently someone pouting about it hurting that he was not talking in English/she could not understand the Korean.

The seven is multilayered. They are not "seven" goes to they aren't 7 men standing there making music for 7 years without their fans. Festa is when they celebrate their birthday (debut). They give us music, dance practices etc for their birthday. The music video showed them in different videos in their career.

BTS and ARMY are in a constant cycle of trying to repay our love to each other. It's because we feel like we get too much from the other. BTS creates so many things for us to enjoy and gives of themselves in speeches, advice, teaching us about their hobbies, spends time hanging out with us, etc. Then we show our support in every way we can think of because they do more than anyone can expect. But then they feel overwhelmed by our love and support so they feel the need to work harder then we feel the need to support harder. Lol at this point its veen growing and growing until it became this juggernaut of a partnership. This is why companies study us but fail. They try to replicate the success of BTS in the hopes that it will attract an ARMY-like fanbase. They fail to study why our dynamic works. Even when they try to get groups to give off a BTS vibe it feels manufactured because it feels too familiar and comes off as fake. You cant bottle sincerity and love.

It's so unprecedented that there's no other fandom dynamic that non-ARMY can really compare it to in their minds. So they usually think of similar-ish dynamics that tend to be on the more toxic and unhinged side of the spectrum. Few musicians have fostered a fandom of this magnitude through sharing such a cast amount of music and multi-media content and personal life content while still maintaining a surprisingly healthy symbiotic relationship (parasocial as it may be). Honestly some of them get more parasocial than we do sometimes 🤣🤣

FESTA is annual celebration of BTS' birthday. while they often do special concerts during festa time, it's not actually a festival 😁 it starts in june and lasts for few weeks and during that time we usually get presents like new photos, new merch, new song, new mv, etc. the content is never set in stone, so it's partially a surprise every year :) that makes WAB The eternal mv even lovelier haha

💜🤣💜 sometimes I am amazed and also very grateful that Bts allways seem to pay attention only to the positive parts of the fanbase. They allways praise army and give army credit and ignores the toxic ones, wich is good. I am really trying to do that myself also, but sometimes some solofan or someone harashing Bts members on their free time, gets on my nerves. Thats when I think, damn, Im not nearly mentally as strong as these 7 guys are. They are amazing, even on that way 💜 edit. And yes, in Korea Bts basically can go to restaurants and to town and we dont get any videos or photos from those. Only later we might hear someone telling that they saw Bts here or there.

Actually we also have those types of self-entitled fans in our fandom, I think every fan base does. The difference is that ARMY is a super organized fandom that works and moves collectively to call out/educate them. The fandom in general is still more mature and unproblematic than what people perceive us to be.

I think in the last 2-3 years core ARMY has lost control of any regulating we used to do. (It was still a pretty tight group when I joined in 2018 with 25-30 million.) The increase of solo stans and reactive "shooters" instead of defenders on Twitter, and the fandom tripling in size during the pandemic have not helped us. 😢 Also, I feel like the average age has become younger. The OG ARMYs grew up with BTS and, as we all know, many adult ARMYs joined along the way. But now, in the rush of new members are much louder young people who aren't quite housebroken. There is nothing wrong with young fans. There is most definitely a lot wrong with young fans who have no concept of the members as people with feelings and demand they jump when they're told. International ARMY are still slow to take translation inaccuracies and cultural differences into account and don't use critical thinking before plastering scandalous quotes or delusional "proof" for ships, either (too? 🤪). I think these are all the entitled and possessive ones. They're joining our "toxic" loud minority as the face of the fandom. I know interacting with people like them makes me more angry, immature, and negative, (the many times in chats that I've yelled pointlessly - Don't ask them to speak English!) and I wonder if it has that affect on others to be in that environment? Hmmm, I wonder if ARMY will feel forever juvenile to the members because younger fans are the loudest? 🤔 .....That was all meandering, self-indulgent musing. I dare you to find a solid point. 🤣

@@flyushkifly I actually agree with what you said. Especially when ch.2 began, the solos prolifirated even more and bravely at that. I became army during Wings era and was brutally initiated into that unforgetable MAMA 2017 voting and back then, ARMY was pretty solid just like you said it was in 2018. The solos/mantis/akgaes were a minority. I know the fandom isn't as tight as before but I still believe the unproblematic armys still outnumber the toxic ones. We just have to persist blocking them out and educating new armys to rely on their own judgment.

Also in my opinion the whale that BTS are riding (then turns into millions of purple orbs) represent us Armys as we have taken them to places and heights they never thought was possible for a small company group, and it goes through some of their most memorable MVs to the 2018 MAMA awards show where they spoke about almost disbanding to seeing a door opening for them to go thru then they end it with the Boy With Liv era as the still have the ON era to go trough with us Armys.

This is the official MV and it was done by Bangtantv which is the official Hybe/BigHit BTS channel. There was an MV that a fan did that had videos of them in their different concert and a video that was their performance of the song at their Permission to Dance Concert in LA and LV. They say never meet your idol because you won't like what you find, but with BTS it is different they are such nice people. But BTS as individuals like to say they can't do autographs because they are on "official business". Bang ShiHyuk actually made an announcement that BTS would not be accepting gifts or giving autographs because their fans started getting very self entitled. Plus in Korea some "fans" are very scary ... ie: one had super glue put in his bottle another was almost kidnapped by a man who thought she was married to him, crazy.

Doja is actually just horrible to her fans. She hates on them so much. She shit on them for their fanbase name, she said she put out a crap album for a money grab and her fans fell for it. Like... why would you say that? After seeing all the stuff she said to her fans an how nasty she got to the people who support her... Yeah, not listening to her anymore. There's healthy boundaries while respecting that these are the people who fill your pockets and love your art, then there is how she behaved.

She has spoken about her depression. People are trying to control her. Some "fans" do. There is a limit and she dealt badly with it. And "money grab"? Again: depression and an industry where you are only relevant if you regulary put out music. And if she hadn't anything to say? Writer's block? She still had to put out stuff. It's part of the job. What she needs is a therapist and maybe anger managment. Doja Cat seems to walk a tight space that could destroy her. She needs to heal. I pity her. Can't be easy when people try to control who she dates, too. Denial is also a thing. So I have sympathy for her. Which does not mean you have to share it. It's just an opinion.

What she did was NOT right! But I have also seen people pushed too far and you probably know that it is less than logical - especially from the outside - what triggers that, I'm sad for her and her true fans - but I can also easily say that as I was not there and I'm not her fan. I hope your Amygdala does it's work and you can step farther away from your triggers and heal at least a little! 💜
