♦️Fun Fact: To this day there are still some not aware that the whole 'hat trick' (illusion), in BTS 'We Are Bulletproof Pt.2, was Jimin's idea & creation, as well as many even believe that it was real, since it was executed so well, so precisely. But in this practice you can see that Jimin still had it in his possession and even put it back on. The way Jimin made it look like he threw it, & the way JK who had an extra hat already in his possession, made it look like he caught it, as well as JK's slick maneuvering the hats, is always still impressively amazing to see. There are also some performances like in BTS 5th Muster concert as well as in the 2019 MAMA awards performance of 'We Are Bulletproof Pt.2, where you can clearly see Jimin tossing the hat away, that he still had in his possession. Jimin has come up with many ideas, added choreo, notes & melodies to songs, just many things that many aren't aware of, since Jimin himself never mentions these things himself.

I feel (felt) the same way about rap and hiphop. It's usually not my thing but with BTS it's just different. I can't really explain it but I really love their songs. Even the most aggressive ones like the Cyphers and their solo projects. Their individual rap styles really come out when you hear them back to back like in the Cyphers. And yes, we low-key suspect Jin of being a vampire since he doesn't seem to age *and* he's even allergic to garlic! 😅 The ARMY saying goes that sure, Jin will age...when Jin wants to! 😎 (I just can't with "bad boy" Jin 🤭)

Half the fun of watching these earlier videos (or listening to the earlier songs) is noticing their development and the journey they have had since then. The other half, of course, is preoccupied with admiring just how good they already were from the get-go 😂 And their dance definitely is an integral part of their combined art package, designed to complement and elevate the music, and the messages contained in their songs. I'm not really much of a dancer (just use dance classes as a form of cardio training because the treadmill is too boring for me) and I'm often so blown away by the pictures they're creating, and the stories they manage to tell with their dance, alongside with the music itself. This one definitely was an excellent choice for your first dance practice reaction, considering this iconic dance break 😁 Thank you so much 💜 🥕 CFA

I love BTS early music as much as I love their latest! I just see it as part of their journey, and it's all valid in that way. Also, it has been high quality and so full of talent and skill from the beginning. I'm a 65 year old woman, and I never imagined I could enjoy listening to and watching rap and hiphop, but BTS changed that. There is something so wholesome about them as people, even their hardest hitting lyrics (like Joke by RM) don't faze me, though I don't choose to listen to those much. But I see how Suga's and RM's early rap was a way for them to vent their anger at the time. Later, in their interview with Sakshma Shrivastav in 2021, Yoongi said that music can be therapeutic in that way, and he doesn't write songs like that now because he's not angry any more. BTS wrote songs promoting their greatness when they were the underdogs; but with more and more success, they just get humbler and humbler. 💜
@amyoconnell39362 жыл бұрын
The dance "practices" are actually the purest, most accurate versions of the choreography because there are no cuts and they don't have to divide their focus with singing. They work very hard to make them as perfect as possible - except for the humorous versions (although those are also surprisingly accurate considering the circumstances).
@AngelaSealana2 жыл бұрын
Bless you, Andrew - I'm sure it must have been awkward posting this one due to what's happened this week. But it was gracious of you to add the disclaimer. Thank you. It's also, especially this week, almost shocking to see that difference in BTS' personas. From rookies dancing with gun shooting movements to SK Presidential Ambassadors to the White House against violence. It makes me pause and reflect on how we all grow and change over time. So, thanks for - perhaps unknowingly - providing that opportunity for reflection. Your reaction to the song and choreography was so satisfying. 😅 Did you figure out how they did the hat trick? Mr. Son (Sungdeuk Son), their choreographer at the time and now BigHit performance director, has developed a dance style for HYBE artists that is recognized for its contast - exactly as you were describing - between fast & slow. He's very talented at understanding songs and visualizing them. So, I liked how your highlighting the contrast really backed that up. It's great to watch you having fun with this one and watching your first full dance practice! Thank you for working so hard to continue feeding us content! 💜 CFA 🥕

It's great you're getting into dance practices! Now you can add another piece to the kpop performance experience picture - the practical/technical side that makes the stages exceptional. You commented on the center moving at a different pace compared to the wings. The center draws focus, of course, and they slow so they can sing solos clearly. Simple! The early dance practices show how hungry they were - molding themselves into near perfect formation and synchronicity to become one body. Over the years, their personal styles developed and now you see individuals that compliment each other instead. You'll see what I mean when you've watched more practices and stages and compare past and present.

Alright, loved your reaction as usual ! But, you seriously got me with the poll yesterday :o Usually I guess all the time what song you gonna react, and I was thinking of "I Need U" with this one :o And with the results, you definetly had a lot of people with this one, good job ! x) Also, Jungkook was also a rapper when they debuted, so he has rap parts on all their first albums up to Dark & Wild in 2014, he stopped having rap parts with The Most Beautiful Moment in Life series in 2015. But also as you could see, their songs were a lot more rap focused at this time, so yes the rappers were shining. They go hard on most of their songs from their 2 first years :) Thank you for your reaction and I'm glad to see you react to dance practice too, these videos are always so good, and yes the illusion with the hat is amazing, as well as the transistion between Hobi and Jimin, who obviously is possible because of Jimin acrobatic skills but also Hobi's flexibility and amazing teamwork and trust between the two of them ^^) Have a wonderful day ! :D

Thank you for another review and for watching the dance practice videos. I always try and watch the dance practice videos when they come out you see so much more then in the video. I was like you not a big hip hop fan, when they first came out I actually listened to their songs and kept thinking who are these young boys trying to look so tough and they made me smile because they really didn't look tough at all :) But there was something about them, and I think I mentioned it before when I saw the dance practice for "Rise of Bangtan" there isn't a mv for it just come back stages, that was when I needed to find out the names of everyone in the group and who they were. Even to the day if something big happens to them I go back to the Rise of Bangtan dance practice and watch it. It always makes me happy to see how far they have come, and how they have evolved over the years, and grown both physically and as artists.

I’m really glad you checked out the dance practice. To be honest I didn’t like early early BTS MVs at the start, it’s a bit cheesy and music style didn’t really speak to me. It wasn’t until I checked out the lyrics and the dance practice (after awhile) before I completely get it and fell in love with those earlier songs. And sometimes it’s the moves that showed me the music more than the sound did(I know it don’t make sense but it did). The dance practice looks more of a dance rehearsal where we can enjoy the whole choreography in one shot and appreciate the amount of work involved. The time and energy devoted to the dancing aspect of their performances with all the efforts required daily to get results outweighs by far the time and energy allocated to music itself. I'm still amazed at the will power and endurance of the non-dancers of the group to be willing to go through 8 to 9 hours a daily exhausting physical stuffs in order to pursue music. It speaks volume about their characters. 💜
