Guys, you have to tell them where to get the video with subtitles lmao. They're looking at the original videos. Unfortunately, bighit doesn't give us decent subtitles, so you have to look for videos where the fans translate what they're saying. To do that you can look up the title of the video and "eng sub" and then you'll find a bunch of video with subtitles.

So just to give a little break down of this short film. V aka Taehyung is a son, of the women seen in the film, and has a abusive father that beats his mother, and the back story of Taehyung is that he killed his abusive Father. Also keep in mind that the fandom also may say it might be his sister and not his mother due to the lyrics. So the cage that Taehyung is put in symbolizes his punishment for being bad, and also he doesn't do drugs. So the puppy is put in the scene to show that V is Still a good person by letting the puppy go instead of keeping it trapped with him. The sub titles where wrong btw, so a big part of the song is that he sings "punish me", so this shows that Taehyung nows what he did was wrong and at the end of the song he says "please" as in "please punish me". So Taehyung has a lot of burdens on him, also adding that his mother doesn't like him due to V killing his father. So in Korea text in the film he says he doesn't have parents, and the last things he says at the end is "I need to make a phone call". So I'll leave it at that so I don't give away to much and so u guys don't fall of the bridge. Also a tip, try connecting all the films together, I would love to see how you put it together, and listen to the music carefully for the up coming films, haven't you heard them from another short film before??

When you said you had captions on I was kinda sad because I would no longer be able to provide late translations, but then I realised you had the automatic ones on and I proceeded to laugh for the entire video because misheard lyrics is my kind of humor. On that note, I'm here with the translations for this video. Because the audio detector can't possibly translate text. Oh yeah, and the one in this video is V (real name Kim Taehyung), second youngest and vocal. Personally, he's my favorite vocal. First, the interrogation scene: "Officer: Name? / V: Kim Taehyung. 21 (years old). / Officer: Parents? / V: I don't have anything like that." Then, before he starts singing, he says: "Why did you do that to me then?", which is another part of this song. And then the song comes on, and the lyrics are: "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry my sister / Even if I try to hide it or conceal it it won't go away / So cry / Please dry my eyes / That light (x2) / Please illuminate my sins / Deeper / Everyday it feels like I'm dying / Please let me be punished / Please forgive me for my sins / Please." This is why I love BTS. Lastly, at the end he says: "Please let me make a phone call." Who's he gonna call? Hopefully not the Ghostbusters, those guys and girls are busy. I have to refrain myself from giving pointers that come from the other parts of this series, but I just hope you'll watch all of the parts after the short films so you can have a bigger picture as to their particular storylines. But yes, they are seven different characters with seven different storylines that are tied together. It's like an alternate universe where BTS isn't a thing and they all have very messed up families and backgrounds. Hooray. And if you made it this far, thank you for fueling my need to share my limited knowledge with people on the internet! It's a problem. Anyway, some suggestions for some kpop: KARD, the only co-ed kpop group as of right now; Monsta X with their crazy storyline (All In, Fighter and Beautiful), and I gotta give a shoutout to my girls from Dreamcatcher, a kpop girl group with rock music and a horror theme to their music videos, which also tell a story (watch Chase Me and then Good Night). Dreamcatcher is a really good idea for a reaction if you're not looking for the usual bubbly kpop sound most of the girl groups have. They're a breath of fresh air. That's it for right now. Everyone is saying that all of this is based on the book BUT the stories in the short films are based on the lyrics of their solo songs that the members wrote so yeah the quotes in the beginning ARE from the book but the stories themselves ARENT they basically took some elements from the book to do the mv from Blood Sweat and Tears but thats it the content from the films is about their solo songs you guys should react to it its amazing

The images in the short films flash back to scenes and imagery and storyline points from the HYYH part of the storyline, including scenes from "Danger" (pre-HYYH, I know), "I Need U", "Prologue", and "Run". Almost everything from "Danger" all the way through "Blood Sweat & Tears" tells one long "Demian" - inspired story. Even the Japanese versions tie in: It isn't only BS&T.

This are the main videos you have to watch before the short films to understan the storyline better I Need U (Original version) The Prologue Run Young Forever The subtitles on the video were wrong (if the caption says "Automatically generated" then they are the wrong ones) You just need to search the name of the video plus "eng subs" The music that you heard on the video is a short part of his self composed solo song. Each member has one solo on their own attached to their respective film.

like other has been saying each short film is a teaser for their solo song in the Wings Album. Each BTS member took part in writing the lyrics and they wrote about themselves. The short film show case it in an artistic way. I know while they are planning these films they even hired a writer to plan it out thats why there are book references and we can see symbols and clues to find out what is happening. While at the same time keep it mysterious for the views to interpreted for themselves. There are lots of theory and theory is just only theories. Fans tend to pick the best one to explain to reactors.

I'm guessing you guys haven't seen it or it went over your head and just missed the connection. OMG THE SUBTITLES!! 😂😂 oh man those auto generated subtitles were kinda hilarious not gonna lie 😂😂 but yeah as other people have said the subtitles were definitely wrong. If you guys are interested there is a KZbin channel called "yoongified 93" that has all of the 7 short films with the correct English translations. And also these short films and the blood sweat and tears videos are all part of a series (the 7 short films and blood sweat and tears make up the second half of the series) the first half of the series is "I NEED U (original 19+ version)", "PROLOGUE", "RUN", and "EPILOGUE: YOUNG FOREVER". Throughout the entire series there are constant references to and connections to and continuations of previous videos in the series. There are also a lot of references back to other BTS songs and MVs as well. The short films follow the events of I NEED U/PROLOGUE/RUN. This short film in particular the most directly connected to/continued from the previous videos and V (Taehyung)'s (who was the one in this short film) his story is actually the easiest to follow and figure out if you watch I NEED U/PROLOGUE/RUN V's story will actually make a lot of sense. I won't give any specific details away but I will say that you guys were exactly right (With this particular short film) when you were talking about him coming from a broken home. Can you guys please react to "I NEED U (original 19+ version)" ,"PROLOGUE", and "RUN"? Just a tip though, if you do watch those you'll only need subtitles for "PROLOGUE". The story of the series is being told through the videos themselves not the song lyrics so "PROLOGUE" (because it's basically a short film) and the 7 short films are the only ones you'll need subtitles for because it'll be important to know what's being said with the dialogue and text.

I won't repeat the explanation of this short since other people have already done it, but for your next videos you should specifically find videos that are subbed (ie, not from bighit YT account, but on fan accounts. Those accounts sub really well and it will be so much easier to understand if you watch those versions. They can be found just by simply searching the name of the short and 'eng sub'). I think the puppy in the cage was maybe his innocence/childhood and how it was torn away from him because growing up in a home where battery or physical harm is present forces you to mature faster. He feels trapped hence the cage because his physical age doesn't line up with the demands of the household so like maybe he would try to get a job to get him and his sister out of the situation but no one would hire him because of his age so he turns into a delinquent to run from his problems. Also at the beginning he has what I believe is a screwdriver and is trying to scratch the graffiti off the door symbolizing him wanting to get rid of this stigma or perfect picture people have of home life letting them know situations like his and his sisters do exist. The door symbolizing what could be an opportunity to help his sister but is instead a barrier because no one will listen. The part where he is being beat up could symbolize him punishing himself for leaving his sister after being thrown in jail hence the "I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry my sister" lyrics or all the silent beating maybe he's received of course these are all theories but thought I'd share them

And actually in the concept of BU (BTS universe), the 7 members have story of their each character. And Big Hit (the company) give you a notes called 'the notes'. In the notes, there are dates & story of the characters they played. And this notes still continued even until now. 7 characters dealing with problems & many ARMY have theories that each of them have mental illness. V/Taehyung's character is afraid with himself. The feeling that he want to kill his father, is scaring him.

You guys need to watch the 'I Need You' (age 19 ver.), 'Prologue' & 'Run' mvs. Besides the great music, the mvs also hold the back stories for the members. In particular 'I Need You' shows V's backstory which is only hinted at here. Btw pay attention to the last line of film where he says "please give me one phone call" because later on one of the members gets a phonecall that he just couldn't answer. In other words V tried to reach out to one of his friends but they just couldn't emotionally reach or help him. If I have to put all these videos in a logical timeline based on the story I'd say that the first 6 short films come before 'I Need You' but after 'Run'. 'Bst' mv definitely comes before 'Young Forever'. The last short film comes after everything. These films always make me really admire Bangtan & Bighit. You don't have to be an Army to admit these are works of art. The sheer amt of work put in is remarkable.

This short film is actually connected to the previous story line for V. The women is actually V's mother (or sister, I can;t rememver). The guy who was drinking, is actually V's father who abuses the woman. And then he was stabbed by V in I need U. The Virgin Mary in V's eye, is connected to J-hope's short film, and the telephone booth can also be seen in RM's short film. V said at last: please let me give a call. If you watch RM's video, you will find that RM can't reach the telephone, so V's call was failed. The graffiti was done by V and RM before in the MV for Run and they were caught together.

What was happening is that, Tae, the boy, in the film, his character gets in a lot of trouble, but what’s happening is that he’s guilty because that IS his sister, and the man drinking is their father. The father beats them, but the OLDER sister gets all the beatings to protect Tae. His sister tell him to not get involved to not do anything about it so he won’t get hurt. Tae feels guilty for not being able to go against his sister’s wishes, and watching her get hurt. Eventually Tae kill him with a beer bottle. But then there time travel involved and stuff so..... but the song Stigma itself is about feeling such amounts of pain and guilt that you enjoy that pain.

These short films are base on the story line that seems to have been in the works since their debut in 2013. title is stigma but you look back in 2013 their first MV it is tagged on a wall in an abandon building. There is also scenes of a telephone booth and next to a chained down piano. There is a lot of detail into this story line. Which is of course open to interpretation, but if you have been following them for a while (at least 2+ yrs) you can call out the repetition of imagery and possible symbolism.

Lol I’m gonna say the chipped one I think it represent the Apple Jimin Bit Into during the Song Lie The Cut that’s separating the Xircle into two half’s I believe that has something to do with V Stigma when v had the Knife his dad drinking out of an glass bottle once he broke it it became sharp or even the Scissors. The Smudge in one Jungkook Begin I think it represents how the painting got smudge in by the rain and caused him to have those bad thoughts causing him to go threw what ever. lol you gotta search for the subtitles, there are some that have hard-coded. some closed captions just try to hear what's being said and don't recognize separate languages and it's just a mess. you gotta youtube for the wings videos with subtitles that are hard coded so you can find the actual subs. :") otherwise you'll be super lost lol.
