All of the symbols together create the wings album cover. If you look up the cover, you’ll see the symbols and how the short films are creating that album. All of the titles of their short films are the names of each member’s solo song in the wings album (First Love is Suga’s song, Lie is Jimin’s song, etc.). In each short film, you hear a small snippet of their solo songs. (For example, the piano and strings you mentioned in Suga’s is actually the song, amazing song that makes me emotional every time I listen to it) I would love if you listened to their solo songs after because they sort of relate to the BU while also their own personal experiences (as many songs are). The writings in Korean are actually lyrics from their solo songs. Plus, you’d be able to see the personality of each member, instead of just the rappers. (So far, you’ve only done solo songs from Suga and RM) You were on point about a lot of things actually. The whistling from Jungkook saved Suga, but the piano was lit on fire as a consequence. Jimin reached out to Jhope, who wasn’t there. The girl who V hugged is actually his sister, who was also being abused by their father. At the end, V told the cop “I want to make a phone call.” Remember that, it’s important in a later short film for another member. Knox, it’s important to know the pairings of each member. There are videos out there that are subtitled if you want to search for them. It helps to understand a bit of what’s going on. But you’ve done a great job interpreting the meanings. These videos were actually used as trailers for the Wings album since it was the first album that each member had a solo song on. The music in the background of each video is the solo tracks. I HIGHLY recommend you react to all the songs. You won’t be disappointed. And it also slightly ties in to the BU story too. Loved the reaction!! Can’t wait for more!

Oh one more haha. So NF’s ‘Perception’ album was 2017 so this was actually before I guess. Loved loved loved your thoughts here! You’re so on point with the symbolism it’s scary haha. I will just say, without spoiling, that each member has a detailed backstory so a lot of the symbolism you’re seeing is quite real to their tragic story, if that makes sense. And yes, pairs are really important! J-Hope and Jimin in the hospital etc. I really recommend the solo songs Knox, the lyrics will change a lot for you!

22:10 this can be connected/traced to the fact that it was Jungkook that got hit by the car and not Suga. And the first video Begin with the whistle was Jungkook's video. And it was Suga's piano that started to burn in Jungkook's video. It was Suga's photo that was dripping with paint in the first short film and it began to burn too! And in the 'I Need You' music video it was Suga that has the lighter and he lit his room on fire with him inside. This is all connected and I love the BU so much because of the attention to detail and metaphors weaved throughout the whole story.

Honestly I have so many of my own theories and even though I sort of know the story I still learn more from rewatching or going through it with someone like you. Man, you are so perceptive and talented at this shit! So V asks to make a phone call and if you remember at the beginning of the Run mv he calls someone after he st*bs his dad. The girl with him was his sister, his lyrics were 'I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry my sister'. The solo song lyrics have much more clues. So Jimin's song is called Lie, he's caught in a lie which relates to his character story but also is personal to him. I really think you should do the solo songs after these short films? First Love is truly a beautiful, raw, vulnerable, and emotional song of SUGA's He wrote this and was part of the production. It's a song about how MUSIC saved his life. I love all their albums, but WINGS is my favorite.

040322. No one seems to say much about the forest scene painting in Jimin's BU short film, that also is on the wall in the FAKE LOVE mv. Isn't a woodsy location where JM's tragic story began? (BTW, I find his insights very clever and interesting, but it's been about a week since this reaction was posted, and I didn't see any sign that he reads the comments, despite saying "Comment below" in his top, pinned comment. No hearts, no replies, and even though a couple of people have mentioned previously recommending the subbed versions of these BU videos, he didn't find those.)

The other story the BU is heavily influenced is the short story ‘ The ones who walk away from Omelas’ which is about a utopian society where everyone is happy and prosperous because there is a child in a room suffering for the sake of everyone else. And if anyone shows that child a shred of kindness the utopia will crumble. JK is the child. In one of the MVs he’s hit by a car and in his short story he wakes up from the crash (which you hear) in the room. And keeps seeing Suga’s piano on fire. Suga and JK were linked in the first MV so in Suga’s short he’s missing JK. He hears his whistle and follows it down the road which represents the car accident. The car hits the music shop thus JK saving Suga.

Damn that was so good Knox!! I think I saw another comment with translations for you, but there are subbed vids out there. I can send on Patreon? So V asks to make a phone call (hence the phone box) and the interrogator asked him if he has parents - he says something like ‘I don’t have anything like that’. The phone box is important. just throwing it out there; the whistling is Jungkook's solo song Begin. And Jungkook's painting is of Yoongi... Jungkook sees the piano and then the painting of Yoongi burning whilst he cries out "hyung". We then see Jungkook's whistling lure Yoongi away from the music store and ultimately saving him. Make of that what you will haha. Take note and file it away for later assessment 😁

Obviously Jungkook and Suga are connected in the bu but it always feels more than the other’s connections (v and namjoon, jhope and Jimin for example) Like First Love is a song about Yoongi’s love for piano; music/the piano was his first love. Jungkook gets hit by a car and in Suga’s short film the car hits the piano. Then the piano sets on fire; Yoongi commits suicide by fire (like his mother). It’s just so romantic There’s so much more I could talk about too 😩🤚
