I’m with Sharon on the 1st dilemma. She said “good friend” I don’t think anyone would say that loosely. The fact that she didn’t let her friend know that she’s slept with a guy she’s in a relationship with is already weirdo behavior.
@Pwitty_thman1Ай бұрын
This! Sharon is being realistic. The girl only saw "husband material" in him after loosing him. Not because of his attitude or something. She clearly said she wasn't into him in the beginning. Some people just like something when they can't have it. Its normal.
@Pwitty_thman1Ай бұрын
I was actually like that. I'll have this huge crush on a man but the second he's mine, I'm no longer interested 😂. Then he leaves and suddenly he's attractive again. Thank God I grew out of it.
@dekonteemorris9192Ай бұрын
I agree with Sharon, the writer didn’t have any valid reason to say she thinks this guy may be her future husband.
@jlambgeeАй бұрын
The level of the friendship shouldn't matter. Because she decided to not share with her close friend that she previously dated the guy she needs to leave that man alone. He's off limits.

Omg guys I can’t tell you how monumental and healing this episode was for me! I’ve never spoken to anyone else who went through the 11+ prep and trauma at that young age! I was taken out of school to home school with one of these camps and it was gruelling! I felt like I had a side job when in primary school fr 😂 and when it didn’t work out for me I felt like a pure failure and like I had let my entire family down! This has followed me to this day in my career wow! Thanks so much for discussing this and opening that conversation! Definitely something from my childhood I need to revisit and unpack 🙏🏾
@crestaroseАй бұрын
To even add, my sister had gone through it before me and flew into Chelmsford even becoming head girl so the pressure was WORSER 😂😂 ! This episode was so relatable and I had no clue we were from the same area! Love the pod as always! From a loyal listener 🤍🤍🤍

Would be great to see you seated closer together on the screen ( in this new studio of course but closer together similar to the old set up) because the unified adlibs and seeing the simultaneous reactions on your faces at the exact same time was part of the viewer experience not gonna lie 😂😂😂😂

I understand Tammys point about the 11+ There was a wild amount of pressure on us at such a young age. Grammar school was very beneficial in terms of some of the opportunities we had but alot of us had a poor experience, especially in essex. There's so many pros and cons

Some parents genuinely believe that publicly shaming their children will keep them in check and get them to do what they want. But they fail to see that one moment in time causes them to: 1. lose trust in their parents 2. in some cases not want to do the work because they know they'll be shamed again. 3. hate the parents. Her parents could've easily spoken to her privately and punished her by taking away what distracted her. The ironic thing is that in situations like this when the children get older and want nothing to do with their parents, they never understand why.
@MaggieMagnoliАй бұрын
I always side eye parents who are sooo comfortable shaming their children online. We were privileged to grow up at a time where all our embarrassing moments and mess ups won't haunt us online forever but for a parent to actively do this on purpose to their child knowing things on the internet live forever ... it's giving you are a bully to your own child.

Tammy, the hair😍🔥
@BSnazzАй бұрын
Why choose to publicly shame your child on social media over low grades? Consider the long-term trauma this can caus, the emotional scars, mental harm, and deep resentment. Once online, nothing truly disappears, and sadly, these actions can leave a lasting impact. In African and Caribbean cultures, I understand that strict discipline is often deeply ingrained, but we must recognise the potential damage this approach can have on a child’s mental and emotional well-being.

The first dilemma is mad, how can the dilemma lady not mention to her friend “good friend” or not that the guy they are currently dating, was someone she hooked up with and was super keen on her before they dated. Then for the dilemma lady to turn around and want him after that???? Nooooo she didn’t care for her friend or the guy to begin with 🙅🏽♀️🙅🏽♀️

With blessings failing her GCSEs, it speaks more volumes on her parent’s involvement in her academics than anything. You can’t publicly humiliate her, when you’re not doing your job as a parent to ensure your child is progressing in her studies. Like if she didn’t do well in her mocks, why didn’t you take away her social media beforehand?

Naaaaaaah you had a change of mind WHY?!? The only thing that has changed about that man is that he’s now dated your friend! You’re not her friend to begin with because you should have told her from jump. And even if it WAS an ego boost it’s no reason to be proud! People go back to easy women all the time! There’s no honor in being a get back girl AT ALL!
